First, I definitely wasn't expecting it to be the last episode before Bryant Park as there were five contestants still competing. Keyword: were. Last night Heidi and Co. auf'd two designers to give us our final three. The second thing that took me by surprise was that they cut a designer whose dress they actually liked. Something smells fishy. Ultimately, I am happy with the chosen three, even if I didn't necessarily agree with the judges' critiques last night. What did you think?

Note: to avoid spoilers, the pictured looks aren't necessarily the winning and losing designers' looks.

The challenge was to craft a companion look for each contestant's best look (not winning look, sadly, because Logan hadn't won a challenge). The winner and loser didn't necessarily surprise me, but the whininess of Althea and Irina irritated me to no end. I was glad that Nick noted how easy it was to cull inspiration from each other in the small group. Either way, do you think the winner deserved the win and the loser deserved the booting?

Project Runway Rundown: Episode 14, "Finale Part Two"

Ah, the Project Runway finale. It's like my Super Bowl. Luckily for me, it came twice this year (which is an especially good thing knowing that the fate of next season is up in the air). But enough about the future of ProjRun - let's talk about the present. As you know, last week Jerell was eliminated, leaving the three female contestants to vie for the win: Leanne, Korto, and Kenley.

The good news is that I was excited to see what all three of these women could do on the runway - after all, each of them made my top 10 looks of the season list. The bad news is that it was probably the dullest finale in the show's history. I mean, where was the drama? Even the cameo from Morgan (the terror model from season one) was devoid of tension, and they had to turn to dog poo to liven things up a little. That's not to say I didn't like their respective collections. On the contrary, I thought all three had very strong showings; I'm even ready to say these were three of the strongest overall collections in the show's history and the first time I would have been satisfied with any winner. I was just a little bored. Boo.

To talk more about the episode, and to see all of the final looks,

Before we get to the looks, here are a couple of my favorite moments from the episode:

Morgan is still the best and most dynamic model from all five seasons of Project Runway. Bring back the model mayhem in season six! Also was excited to see Amanda - and, briefly, Shannon from Make Me a Supermodel.

I was so impressed that Korto created two new looks for the runway. Usually the designers struggle to finish the looks they've already completed. Kudos, Korto.

The dog poo moment was funny. I loved Leanne's reaction: "I can't even imagine explaining that to the judges, that there's dog crap on the evening gown."

How hilarious was it that Kenley was so snooty about letting anyone help her iron, and then was shown dropping one of her gowns on the floor?

Even though we knew Jennifer Lopez would not be judging the final showdown, I was a wee bit disappointed that there wasn't a guest judge. But you couldn't ask for anyone better than Tim Gunn to fill her shoes.

And for the last time this season, let's talk about the looks:

Kenley: Kenley found inspiration in Alice in Wonderland and exuded that whimsy in her color palette and silhouettes. While Tim had minor problems with her rope trim, the biggest issue the judges had with Kenley's collection was her carbon-copy designs. Last week they called out her wedding dress as looking too Alexander McQueen; this time they found fault with her floral dress looking too Balenciaga. And yet again, the proof was in the pudding. (Also, am I crazy, or did they say that about this dress, too?) It was enough to cost her the win.

View 10 Photos ›

Korto: Korto's collection was inspired by nature. The colors she used were beautifully rich greens and browns. There was also a hint of her African ancestry interwoven into the outfits and accessories, and I loved her hand-done beadwork (and wished there was more of it). The judges loved Korto's line, especially the color and cohesion. The only gripe Heidi had was that some of the pieces looked a little overworked. And as with Kenley, this minor misstep hurt her dearly. She's out.

View 10 Photos ›

Leanne: As with the other two, the judges, in general, loved Leanne's collection. Michael was in awe of her workmanship. Tim and Nina loved her versatility in silhouettes. And Heidi applauded her innovation. Their biggest beef was that she was a little one-note with her petal detailing (Michael even called her Petals Marshall, which he said sounds like a stripper, not a designer. Ha!). I agreed with the judges in this aspect. It reminded me of Chloe's final collection from season two: beautiful, but the looks were very similar with little variation. (That doesn't mean I wouldn't kill to wear them, especially that blue evening gown.) In the end, she got the win.

View 10 Photos ›

So, what did you think of the episode? Did Leanne deserve the win? I was torn between her and Korto and would have been happy with either. You?

There's just one week left till the end of the Project Runway road, and you know what that means: a little thing I like to call Tim Gunn's Couture Tour. This is the episode where Tim travels to each designer's home to critique his or her forthcoming collection, and from that standpoint, this season's version was about what I expected. Luckily, in true ProjRun fashion, they threw the contestants a curve ball . . . or two.

The first twist occurred at the beginning of the episode. Before the designers were sent home, Heidi delivered the usual "create a collection that represents you as a designer" assignment but added an additional task: designing a wedding dress. This news made me giddy, especially when I remembered how fun the wedding challenge was in the first season. The second twist came when the designers returned to New York, where Tim asked them to produce another piece: a bridesmaid's dress that complemented both the wedding dress and the collection as a whole. Also, whether they competed at Bryant Park would depend entirely on the wedding and bridesmaid's dresses. Yikes for them; yay for us!

To find out how each of the designers entertained Tim and to see who's competing in next week's finale,

Tim's Couture Tour:

Korto: Tim traveled to Little Rock, AR to visit Korto and overall said a lot of positive things about her collection-in-progress. He loved her bead work and her color palette, calling it "stunning" and "sophisticated." He did, however, have reservations about a few pieces, calling one specific look "a little sexual." Side note: I believe he also said "I don't want a snatch shot." Can you even say that on cable? I wore out my rewind button trying to decipher his exact verbiage. Lastly, Tim critiqued Korto's wedding dress for looking a little more red carpet than wedding. But she still entertained him with some awesome African drumming.

Leanne: Tim went from Little Rock to Portland to visit Leanne (and meet her dorky-cute boyfriend, aw!). As with Korto, Tim had mostly accolades for Leanne. His two concerns were the color choice in one of her tops and the wedding dress not having the same "ease and flow" as the rest of her wave-inspired line. The best part of Tim's visit to Leanne, however, was seeing the two on a bike together. Priceless.

Jerell: Next up was Jerell in Los Angeles. Tim didn't have as many nice things to say about Jerell's collection. Tim thought the bust of his wedding dress needed more stability, and as for the rest, he said Jerell really needed to edit - and I couldn't have agreed more. In fact, Tim's critiques were so negative that toward the end of his trip he asked, "Can I still meet your family and friends?" Ouch.

Kenley: Finally, Tim met up with Kenley in her cute Brooklyn apartment. As with the other girls, he was very impressed - though he did question her decision to incorporate a rope at the neckline of a dress ("I just think about people hanging themselves"). But, in general, he loved her line, especially her feather and tulle wedding dress.

Now, on to the looks of the evening. . .

View 8 Photos ›

Leanne: The judges loved, loved, loved both Leanne's wedding dress - which had been totally reworked since Tim's visit - and the accompanying bridesmaid's dress. They applauded the colors and the fabric, and Nina said it was "modern and dreamy." As for what I thought - yep, Leanne nailed it. I'd wear that bridesmaid's dress in a second.

Korto: Heidi said of Korto's wedding dress, "I would not want to be the bride." And, that about sums it up. All of the judges had issues with how overworked the design was. They didn't love her bridesmaid's dress either. For me, Korto's was the worst of the bunch.

Jerell: Just like Tim predicted, the judges found Jerell's wedding dress too overworked (but sloppy at the same time). Nina even said that his tulle looked "dirty." Jerell's pieces weren't my favorite, but I thought the judges were a little harsh, especially when Nina said he hadn't put thought into his designs. What killed him, though, was that he doesn't know when to stop putting stuff on an outfit.

Kenley: Michael Kors faulted Kenley's wedding dress for looking a little too Alexander McQueen. And, well. Other than that, he loved both looks, as did Nina and Heidi. After last week's disaster, Kenley certainly proved herself with this challenge.

In the end, Jerell was eliminated. This upset me a little, since I think he should have had an advantage from winning the final "regular season" challenge and I actually liked his wedding/bridesmaid combo better than Korto's. But from the previews of Jerell's and Korto's lines, Korto's looks stronger, so I think it was the right decision in the end.

What did you guys think of last night's episode? Should Jerell have been sent home (home, in this case, being "showing at Bryant Park anyway")? Did you catch his slam at Michael Kors at the end? And are you excited for next week? The preview got me pumped for one thing in particular: Morgan!

Project Runway Rundown: Episode 12, "Nature Calls"

Last night on Project Runway, the remaining four designers had to step up and prove themselves (and their designs) to the judges in hopes of moving on to Fashion Week. Of course, we know that they (and two others) all make it to Bryant Park, but last night it was about discovering who would present his or her collection in the final episode of the season as a contender for the Project Runway win.

I thought each designer would blow me out of the water, especially since the challenge was so basic. Actually "basic" is probably the wrong word - I think "stale" is better. We've seen the "take a picture and be inspired" challenge before (this time the theme was nature), even earlier this season. And in season two, Daniel V won a very similar challenge with his orchid-inspired ensemble, a look that was much more stunning than what these designers produced. That said, the final challenges are almost always a letdown; the judges want the designers to take risks (but punish them when they go awry), while the designers are so close to their goal that they get safe.

To read (and see) more about last night's episode - including a spoiler that annoyed me to no end -

Before we talk about all of the looks from last night's episode, here's some Project Runway free association:

Kenley continued her obnoxious streak. The episode began with her blaming Leanne for sabotaging and not "sell[ing her] outfit on the runway" and ended with her arguing with the judges about her attitude. Note to Kenley: If someone calls you out about your poor behavior, it's probably in your best interest not to argue with them. In doing so, you're only proving the point.

Jerell - the lone guy left - presented some hilariously awkward moments. Most notably, right after he admitted to being lonely, he was shown putting on a "puppet" show with himself (represented by a bottle of maple syrup), a Tim Gunn bobblehead, and two past contestants: Joe and Suede (two apples with faces drawn on). Someone needs a roommate!

You reap what you "sew": Because Kenley had rubbed the other designers the wrong way, when she discovered she had left her tulle at Mood, both Korto and Jerell refused to hand over their leftovers. I didn't blame them. But why didn't Kenley just go to the producers?

Kenley's story about her father being a tugboat captain didn't make me sympathize with her as a loner (or a loud person), though I'm sure that was her intention.

I was surprised that all of the designers were working till the very last minute. They had two days for this challenge, and none of the dresses was nearly as intricate as what Christian Siriano busted out last season.

Can we talk about all of the waterworks? I think this ep might have had the most ProjRun tears in history. And that's including the season with Andrae.

Now on to the looks:

View 4 Photos ›

Leanne - Leanne's one-shoulder, pleated purple dress was beautiful. Bonus that the judges also liked it. But the random blue train that she added last minute was haphazard and ugly. It would have been much better without it.

Jerell - Jerell's look was by far the most current and youthful. That being said, I was afraid that his model's breasts were about to pop out at any moment. Otherwise his look was good, and in an underwhelming pool, I suppose it deserved the win.

Korto – The judges had a beef with Korto's orange dress because they thought it looked too "pageanty." It wasn't the most innovative dress, but I think Korto received more flak for it than she deserved. Sure, it wasn't pushing the needle, but it fit her model like a glove and it was finished. All in all, not bad.

Kenley - Jerell said it best: it was Kenley the Dragon Slayer. What was she thinking? Kenley finally stepped out of her 1950s bubble, and came up with a dress that looked like a combination of Barney the dinosaur and Ursula from The Little Mermaid. It was by far the worst look, and Kenley should have been eliminated, but. . .

In a completely (un)shocking moment, Heidi announced that all of the designers would be creating a collection for Fashion Week. The only caveat was that one would be eliminated right before the Bryant Park show. I've come to expect these exceptions from Project Runway, but, to be honest, this time I was especially annoyed. Kenley should have been gone. Period.

Should Kenley have been auffed last night? Or are you excited to see one more elimination before the big finale? And what do you make of all the designers trashing Kenley on the runway after Kenley again talked back? (Extended clip here, if you think you can handle it!)

Project Runway Rundown: Episode 11, "Rock N' Runway"

When the challenge on this week's Project Runway first got announced, I was thrilled, because I've always loved challenges where the designers have to be each other's clients. But then, Tim announced the music component of the challenge, and suddenly, we were looking at one of the most poorly conceived Runway challenges ever.

If the designers had been asked to design outfits for each other based on either the designer's or the client's favorite musical genre, that would have been fine. But to design an outfit based on a totally random musical genre, pulled out of a bag, that neither designer nor client might have any interest in? Stupid. Of course Kenley designing a hip-hop outfit for Leanne is going to be a wreck - neither one of them seems to know/care much about hip-hop! It made what could have been a really cool challenge into something meaningless and silly. That said, some of the designers still managed to produce good work, while others crashed and burned in stunning fashion, so to hear my thoughts, just

Some other quick thoughts on the episode:

This was one time where Korto's blase, "I'd-rather-be-anywhere-else" attitude seemed spot-on. The look on her face when she found out she was designing for Jerell was priceless; it only got better when she found out she'd been assigned country.

Loved Leanne's rap: "Kenley's gonna make an outfit for me/she better not make it look like it's from nineteen-fifteeeee!"

Jerell pledged to make Kenley look like "Kenley Spears"; meanwhile, Korto dubbed herself "Shania Jank."

Why did we spend all that time on model selection when the models didn't even matter?

The Kenley/Tim Gunn confrontation was everything I could have hoped for. She just does. not. listen. Poor Tim: "I'm just trying to channel your thinking, and then you led me off a precipice."

Suede's a classically trained cellist? Cool! Now, see, I would have much rather seen an outfit based on his love of classical music. Can you imagine Suede all suited up?

Now, the looks:

View 5 Photos ›

Jerell - Kenley squealed "you're gonna make me look like sex!" when she first saw that Jerell was planning a fishnet dress for her, and she was right - she was obviously representing pop. She looked surprisingly comfortable and confident on the runway considering how little she was wearing. That little purple cape added a hint at something futuristic.

Korto - Suede got into character more than any of the other designers on the runway, and that really helped to sell Korto's look. The bleaching on the pants was cool, and I really liked the way the chains were sewn into the shirt. Despite Suede's fears that he looked like he belonged in the drag queen challenge, his outfit screamed "punk." It's a good win for Korto, though I still would have given it to Jerell.

Leanne - Korto got into the country spirit when she saw the booties Leanne wanted her to wear, singing and two-stepping around the workroom. Love it! All the judges seemed concerned that Leanne didn't go far enough from the waist down, though the little sleeveless shirt seemed to have just the right amount of country detail. It's a fine line between classy and costumey, but she could have done a little more.

Kenley - A disaster from the start, and that's partially because of the ridiculous challenge. But still: Kenley made ill-fitting high-waisted jeans, a floral tank top, and an OK but basic leather jacket - and then blamed Leanne for looking "like a big, fat poser" and "embarrassing" her in front of LL Cool J. Honey, that is your own fault. Bonus points for essentially insinuating to LL that a regular hip-hop look would have been "stupid." I can't believe she's still here.

Suede - Suede made Jerell look like Jerell, and that was the judges' problem: A rock look could have been anything, and instead, his was "rock and roll going to the grocery store." The piecework vest was cool, the pants were detailed up close but merely boring from afar, and the tank top looked like it came out of Jerell's own closet. Even so, I was 100 percent shocked when the judges told Suede he was out.

Did anyone else's jaw drop at the elimination? Yes, Kenley has been better overall. She's also been rude, incorrigible, and unwilling to take feedback, and I thought she was definitely the worst in this challenge. Not that Suede's look was great, and I even said that I wanted to see him go next, but ugh, not like that. What did you all think?

Project Runway Rundown: Episode 10, "Transformation"

The Project Runway challenge a couple of years back where the designers had to dress other contestants' mothers was a nightmare, so it's no wonder that when this year's crop of designers saw a bunch of average-looking, middle-aged women walk out onto the runway, they feared the worst. But the Project Runway team had something new up its sleeve in Wednesday's episode: This time, the designers had to dress the women's daughters, hip young women just out of college and looking for jobs.

Of course, it still could have been a disaster, with pushy mothers overruling what their daughters wanted, but for the most part (save for Leanne's family, and even then only slightly) the challenge proceeded with little drama. In fact, the episode was almost a little boring: relatively calm workroom, relatively good designs, relatively happy clients. Hey, at least we had Jerell to light the room up with his wit. From "Come on, Joe, you can work on Nancy Reagan tomorrow" to his story of working at McDonald's and "getting all kinds of free Big-n-Tasties," our boy was on fire last night!

Meanwhile, Kenley dressed her mini-me, we saw pictures of the designers in their own just-entering-the-workforce days, and the fabulous Cynthia Rowley stopped by to judge, so to see my thoughts on the episode, just

During client selection, Leanne took one look at her client and said, "There's no way this girl just graduated college. She looks like she's 12." Leanne, you look like you're 12!

Did we know Korto was a mom? The pictures of her daughter were adorable.

There's a Mood dog, and his/her name is Swatch? Awesome.

Kenley's conversations with Tim Gunn are amazing. She manages to hear his critiques as glowing compliments. Tim laments that something looks too "menswear," and Kenley responds happily, "right, right, professional!"

I cracked up at this line from Cynthia Rowley when Suede said his client wanted something to go from day to evening: "I say just change your clothes before you go out."

Now, as for the designs:

View 6 Photos ›

Kenley - Kenley made a variation of her standard '50s dress, this time with a short vest and shiny belt. She lucked out, because the look worked for her mini-me. She also seemed to be holding her tongue on the runway, even if she did crack up (along with her mini-me) during Joe's critique.

Joe - The minute Joe told his punky, Kelly Osbourne-ish client that he was going to make her a business suit, I was pretty sure he was a goner. Add in some pinstripes and an ill-fitting wrap shirt ("Becky Home Ec-y," as Kors said), and it was exactly what you'd imagine wearing to a job interview . . . in 1988.

Korto - I didn't get a great look at Korto's dress, but that hardly matters, because I would buy her jacket right now. The judges loved it (Cynthia Rowley admiringly said it looked like it could have been really expensive), and she was easily in the top three.

Suede - Suede's client was a photographer, so she wanted something that would be easy to move in, and instead, she got a short-ish dress with one of the most wickity-whack jackets we've seen on the runway in a long time. I think it could have worked as a maxidress and without that awful craziness on the jacket sleeves.

Jerell - Jerell said he wanted to make his client an outfit that was "flirty and sexy in its own awkward way," and he accomplished it with a pencil skirt, a fancy blouse, and a man-ish cardigan. It was a great look for his client, who instantly looked more grownup without a hint of dowdiness.

Leanne - Leanne got the toughest of the clients (more accurately, the toughest of the mothers), but she still managed to come up with something that would please everyone. It wasn't her best, just a relatively simple dress with a boxy jacket the judges hated (but I liked), but it was enough to get her through.

In the end, Jerell nabbed his second win in a row, while Joe went "outsie-daisy." Ah well - at least he still got to show at Bryant Park. If Suede goes next, I'll be perfectly happy with the top four. You?

Project Runway Rundown: Episode 9, "What's Your Sign?"

With the Project Runway show at New York Fashion Week scheduled for this Friday, it seemed that we'd need to say goodbye to some designers fast. I mean, we've seen ProjRun Fashion Week shows with four designers, and I think even five, but eight? So I wasn't the least bit surprised to learn that two designers would be chopped after the avant garde challenge.

The double elimination was just one piece of what was going on in this jam-packed episode, though. There were old designers aplenty - eliminated contestants from this season back to help the remaining designers, plus favorites from previous seasons who returned to judge the winner at a cocktail party. Oh, and the outfits had to be both avant garde and based on the signs of the zodiac. To see all the outfits and talk about the auffings, just

Before I get to the pictures, here are some other thoughts on the episode:

One fun part of any team challenge is figuring out which teams should succeed and which would fail based on personality alone. Terri and Keith were clearly the worst match from the start.

So, Kenley has become the designer I most want to punch in the teeth. She's overconfident, she doesn't listen to the challenge, and she's really obnoxious. Sure, Leanne and Emily probably shouldn't be rolling their eyes and passive-aggressively glaring at her, but I'd probably be doing the same thing! Love her excuse: "I just like to have fun, and some girls don't like that." But I thought all girls just wanted to have fun!

That said: Wesley, really? You don't even attempt to collaborate with your designer to make a better final product, and then you spend the whole time trashing her in the interviews?

But Wesley was not the oddest returning designer by far. No, that title goes to Keith. He was almost scary sad. "Just be gentle with me - I'm kind of fragile right now"? Eesh.

I'm so glad we got rid of Jerry early. He would have been insufferable.

With the exception of "All Women are Like Great Sports Cars" Robert, a really fantastic group of former ProjRun contestants came back to judge the cocktail party. It was great to see Kara Janx, Daniel Vosovic, and Allison Kelly, whose elimination I still feel is one of the worst miscarriages of justice in show history.

Now for the best and worst:

View 8 Photos ›

The Best
Since the returning designers voted for the best designs, I'll just say: Jerell? Really? I love the guy; I think he's turned out some great outfits. But beyond the jacket (which did have an amazing number of coordinating trims, as Daniel V. pointed out), the dress itself was pretty "meh," and I'm inclined to agree with Tim's comments about the fabric being schoolmarm-ish. Maybe I'm just bitter because I thought Leanne's exoskeleton was so much cooler and more avant garde - but it would have been bad to have her win three times in a row.

The Worst

Kenley - I literally had to stop the TV because I was laughing so hard at her description of Aquarius as "rebellion, strength, strong, and purple." (Reminded me of when Michael Knight had to pick three words for his design aesthetic and supplied something like "sexy sex sex.") And saying she doesn't look at collections is basically saying she's uneducated as a designer. But it wasn't the worst on the runway by far.

Blayne - I agree with the judges: Blayne's outfit was "unbearable to look at." I mean, a nude bodysuit with tulle pompoms and bondage straps? I sort of get what he was trying to do conceptually - one side was heavier, blah blah blah - but it just failed. I did get a chuckle out of Stella's "It's unbalanced . . . it's Blayne!" comment. Bye, Blayne. Go tan.

Suede - I am shocked that nobody commented on the construction of Suede's pants, because they were painfully ill-fitting. Maybe that was an assumed part of the judges' comments about it being "mall clothing." I'm glad he squeaked through, but I did love Michael Kors calling him out on the "what Suede wanted . . . " BS.

Terri - I actually thought Terri made some nice changes to her outfit after the cocktail party (I liked the touches of red better than the fur cape-thing), so I was surprised to see the judges come down so hard. Bottom line, though: How many times have we seen that having an attitude in a team challenge is a quick ticket home? So long, Terri.

Do you think Jerell can keep winning "until I get my novelty-sized check"? Do you think Kenley needs some duct tape across the ol' mouth? And of the remaining designers, whose collection do you most want to see?

Project Runway Rundown: Episode 8, "Double-0 Fashion"

The "design something for a fashion icon" challenge is nothing new for Project Runway, but what was rather refreshing about Wednesday's episode was that the icon this time truly was a legend. The designers were asked to design something that would impress Diane von Furstenberg - she of the wrap dress - enough that she would consider including it in her next collection. That was a pretty big deal for all the designers (except maybe Blayne, who would have preferred an Olsen twin), and they really let the pressure show as they worked on the challenge.

In fact, none of them let Diane's iconic status get to them more than the typically smooth Kenley. She was sobbing so much through all of her early interviews, in fact, that I was convinced she'd be the one sent home. Then again, maybe her tears came because things in the workroom were so tense - I'm not sure I've ever seen a season of Project Runway where all the designers seemed to dislike each other so early. There's a feud a'brewing between Leanne and Kenley, another between Korto and Terri, still another between Terri and . . . everyone else. The Parsons workroom just doesn't seem like a very happy place to be right now.

That said, the designers still turned out some iconic looks of their own - plus some requisite disasters - so to hear my thoughts on the designs and see a gallery of all the looks, just

First, a few more thoughts on the episode:

Stella cannot do anything by herself. Ever. She can't make coffee. She can't get the fabric down from the shelves. For someone who seems so tough and flippant and "f--- you" in her general life, she sure is pretty helpless when it comes to practical things.

The specifics of Diane's challenge - design something for her collection inspired by the movie A Foreign Affair - led to a couple of funny spy interludes: Leanne sneaking around as "Secret Agent Leannimal" and Suede lamenting that he'd love to be a spy but his blue hair would give him away. Yeah, that and the fact that he can't stop talking about himself.

Speaking of which, I rolled my eyes to the heavens when Suede started talking in the third person again . . . and then hated myself for laughing really hard when he made that little hand heart for the camera. Sigh. I guess I am not immune to his few charms.

Stella had two of the best moments of the night just in her little chat with Tim Gunn, first getting confused about the inspiration for the challenge ("She's from Paris, right?" "Berlin." "Oh, whatever!") and then referring to "the stylist with the muumuu dress and the waistband" who didn't know what to make of Stella last week. "Sorry, Rachel Zoe!" Tim hollered.

Been too long since we've had eye candy. I'll take that long shot of Jerell in his patterned boxer-briefs.

Speaking of Jerell, that hat he put on his model looked suspiciously like a piece he's worn before on the runway.

Here are all the outfits, and below the pictures I'll talk about the best and worst:

View 9 Photos ›

Korto - Another week in the top and another good look from this designer, who's emerging as one of my biggest favorites. I loved the splashes of yellow on her dress, especially the one under the skirt, and Diane did too.

Kenley - Kenley's biggest issue was that she only made one piece - a dress, at that, and one that looked awfully similar to the one she wore on the runway. As Heidi said, she needed to make another piece to have it be a home run. Also: Kenley, honey, there's a difference between defending your look on the runway and just whining back to the judges. Learn that difference now before it hurts you.

Leanne - With Leanne, Korto, and Kenley in the top, don't you think we could be looking at our top three for the season right here? The color of Leanne's dress was gorgeous, the fabric flowed just right, she actually took Tim's feedback and used it to improve her jacket, and she managed to add enough details to keep it interesting. This made two wins in a row for her!

Joe - I'm back and forth with Joe. This week, his ginormous ego seemed to get the best of him as he defended his choices even in the face of evidence that showed they were bad ideas. The judges love harping on sloppy work, so the "It's uneven, but I don't care" attitude won't get you anywhere - especially when "it's uneven" could have applied to about eight different areas of his dress.

Suede - It's a tossup for me whether this or Blayne's polka-dot pantaloons should have been in the bottom, because I didn't think it was all that terrible. Yes, putting a slit in that dress was a bad idea because it made the fabric billow like pajama pants when his model walked. Yes, that herringbone vest made absolutely no sense whatsoever. But the dress was interesting - there were just enough little bad decisions along the way.

Stella - In the judges' words, her cape was "like Dracula" and the crotch of the pants was "every woman's nightmare." Stella seems to really not know how to work with fabric that's not "leatha"; her tailoring was so awful. Stella clearly wasn't going to make it to Bryant Park, so I'm glad her journey ended while she still had the energy for one impassioned kiss-off: "I'm a rock star. That's who I sell for. If you like it, come buy it. If you don't, keep walking. I don't care."

Do you agree with the result? Are you glad Stella has Ratbones to go home to? And for those of you who watched the previews, are you so excited to see whose dress is "pooing fabric" next week?

Project Runway Rundown: Episode Seven, "Fashion That Drives You"

Last night's episode of Project Runway was surprisingly entertaining (I figured it would be hard to follow the drag queen episode) - not because of the challenge, per se, but because Tim Gunn shamed the designers right off the bat, reminding them of how pathetically they performed in the very first challenge that required innovative thinking. And thank goodness Tim lit that fire under their you-know-whats, because otherwise we would have seen a boatload of beige seat belt pencil skirts coming down that runway, which makes me fall asleep just typing about it.

As it happened, we were only subjected to a small percentage of seat belt skirts (and one unfortunate seat belt dress) while a good portion of the designers used this challenge as a moment to stand out. So far this season I've been unsure about which designers I would want to see at Bryant Park, and this <strike>Saturn hybrid commercial</strike> car parts challenge helped me understand who among this group has taste and vision and who just . . . doesn't. To see which designers I have a new respect for and what I thought of one designer's mental meltdown,

Before I run through the looks, here are my thoughts from last night:

I'm glad Korto's jacket was such a hit, because Terri was so obnoxious during this challenge! It's just really bad form to point and laugh at your competitors like that.

Speaking of Terri, her outfit was really boring to me, which was disappointing after seeing that amazing samurai drag queen outfit she made last week.

When Tim told Kenley her model had dropped out, I wondered if the periodical model disappearances on Project Runway were due to illness or something? But then Jerell rang in with models taking other jobs and how they have to make a living too, and I got it.

OMG! Stella's boyfriend! I nearly fell out of my chair because a) his name is Ratbones and b) they want to design clothing together under a label named "Zotis & Bones." I really want to go play pool or throw darts with Ratbones and Stella. I think that would be an amazing way to spend an evening.

Keith! We'll discuss further, but my goodness, man, pull yourself together. He was a complete emotional mess last night, and when his model sat down and ripped her skirt I felt so bad for her. Like, "Run, girl, cause he is going to cut you!" bad.

View 10 Photos ›

As for the best and worst:

Jerell - Guest judge Rachel Zoe called his futuristic get-up "intricate," and while the overall look was over-the-top, the judges were impressed because it worked together well.

Blayne - Michael Kors hit the nail on the head when he said it looked like a car wash, and the fit at the top of his seat belt dress was wretched. Who's that flattering on? Nobody. I continue to be unimpressed with Blayne.

Korto - Despite Terri's insults in the work room, the judges were completely enamored with her woven seat belt jacket. Rachel said several times she would walk right out of the building in that jacket. I like Korto and think she is one of the few designers with a specific point of view that she brings to the runway each challenge.

Leanne - I was so impressed with Leanne, and so were the judges, who made her the evening's big winner. Her skirt was awesome, and I could see it on a red carpet. I think Leanne is emerging as a serious contender for the finals - what do you think?

Stella - Uh, what? What was she thinking? Well I guess we know she wanted to do something besides hammering and grommeting but clearly she should stick to what she does best: leatha!

Keith - Poor, poor Keith. He was just was all kinds of neurotic last night. I know I should feel some sympathy for the guy, but his excuses on the runway were too much, forcing Michael to deliver a smackdown lecture on taking criticism. Plus his dress was seriously plain, and the back was horrendous.

So did you think it was Keith's time to go? Did you feel bad for him, or do you think he'll never get anywhere in the fashion biz if he doesn't grow a thicker skin? Which look was your favorite? Did you want Korto to win or were you happy for Leanne? Any idea who you'd like to see in the finale yet? And how great was it to see Laura Bennett?
