TV Tonight: "The Winner" with Rob Corddry

Though I found him horribly annoying when he first joined "The Daily Show," I eventually warmed up to Rob Corddry and his awkward, mildly pitiful brand of humor. That said, I don't know if Corddry has what it takes to helm his own sitcom, but he'll get a chance to prove himself tonight at 9:30 p.m. when "The Winner" debuts on Fox.

It's got good people behind it - "Family Guy" Seth MacFarlane is the executive producer - and the premise sounds promising: Corddry plays a 32-year-old virgin living through a delayed adolescence. But there are a few things I find troubling, including the fact that the flashback-based series is, for no real reason, set in 1994 and looks like it's trying very hard to be edgy.

Diane Kruger Picks a Dramatic Look For Her Royal Debut

All eyes were on Diane Kruger as she made her way down the red carpet at tonight's Berlin Film Festival premiere of Farewell, My Queen. She began the day at a photocall wearing a colorful look from 10 Crosby by Derek Lam and chatted with press, in her native German, about director Benoît Jacquot's dramatic Marie Antoinette tale. She spoke freely about the project, and even addressed the movie's over the top fashion. Diane said of the wardrobe, "I personally hate historical films where people just look at dresses and hair. . . I had to forget that to do the film. . .You need to see the woman Marie Antoinette, not just the queen."

For tonight's screening Diane went for a bolder look and turned up the sparkle factor in a beaded Giambattista Valli Couture gown, jeweled Judith Leiber clutch, and edgy cuff earrings. Diane and boyfriend Joshua Jackson are one of our favorite red-carpet pairs, and they're right at the top of our pre-Valentine's Day list of Hollywood's cutest couples. He couldn't be with her tonight, but she did have the company of the film festival's director, Dieter Kosslick.

The Couple Who Inspired The Vow

Kim and Krickitt Carpenter sold the movie rights to their unforgettable love story back in 1996. But it took until this week for that film, The Vow, to come out. The Carpenters married in September 1993, and less than 10 weeks later, a car accident left them both injured and Krickitt in a coma. Once she woke up, she had no memory of her husband.

Besides the coma and memory loss, The Vow doesn't quite follow the story of Kim (played by Channing Tatum) and Krickitt (played by Rachel McAdams) to the exact details. The real-life couple had met serendipitously over the phone when Kim, a baseball coach living in New Mexico, had called the sport shop Krickitt was working at in Southern California. Hitting it off, they talked for hours on the phone each week, and soon Kim invited Krickitt to visit him in New Mexico. After a whirlwind romance they soon got married.

The accident soon ended their newlywed bliss, and the couple described life after Krickitt's amnesia in a 1996 People article. "I honestly didn't think our marriage would work," Kim admitted thinking when his wife seemed to be a completely different person, but he said he "made a vow before God" to stick it out. She remembered asking, "'How did I do the wife thing? Did I cook for you? Did I bring you lunch?'" And she told herself, "I figured, if I fell in love with this guy before, I guess I just need to meet him again."

The accident happened in 1993, and on Valentine's Day 1996, Kim proposed again to his wife Krickitt and she accepted. In 2000, they wrote a book about their experience, The Vow: The Kim and Krickitt Carpenter Story. Although she never regained memory of the 18 months she had forgotten after her coma, they stayed together and have two kids, whom they brought to this week's premiere of The Vow. Reese, Tom, and Chris Team Up to Show This Means War in LA

Reese Witherspoon joined her This Means War leading men on the red carpet at their LA premiere last night. She was decked out in a strapless dress from Miu Miu to sign autographs for fans and pose for pictures with "Piney" and Tom, who brought along his British actress fiancée Charlotte Riley. Reese, Chris, and Tom were together last weekend for their junket as well. We caught up with the trio there, and Reese joked about the challenges of choosing one of the two guys, Chris or Tom, in the movie. Yesterday, Reese talked about having more kids. She said, "I would love that!"

Chelsea Handler, who plays Reese's BFF, didn't pose with her costars. Instead, she made her way solo down the press line, and joked with us about her relationships with Reese, Chris, and Tom. When asked which actor, Chris or Tom, she would pick if given the choice, Chelsea went with Mr. Hardy since she's a big fan of muscles. We will likely see more of the foursome before the film hits theaters next Tuesday, Feb. 14, on Valentine's Day. Stay tuned for more from the event later today on PopSugar Rush.

Reese Witherspoon threw on a printed skirt and navy sweater to run errands in Brentwood today. She was out and about following a fun night at the premiere of This Means War yesterday. Reese wore a strapless Miu Miu dress for the occasion and stopped to sign autographs and chat with fans before heading into the screening. Her leading men Tom Hardy and Chris Pine were also on hand as was costar and pal Chelsea Handler. The movie hits select theaters next Tuesday, just in time for Valentine's Day. It'll be Reese's first romantic holiday with her husband, Jim Toth, since the two tied the knot last March.
