George Clooney Trades Stacy For Evan at His London Premiere

George Clooney and Evan Rachel Wood posed together at the London premiere of The Ides of March today. George's girlfriend Stacy Keibler didn't join him for the event, but she was his red carpet companion earlier this week. George and Stacy showed up at a NYC screening of The Descendants on Sunday and she was by his side again for last night's Paris premiere of The Ides of March. George and Stacy continued their evening at the film's afterparty, and later enjoyed dinner at L'Arc with George's costar Philip Seymour Hoffman as well as Catherine Deneuve and Princess Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco. George and Stacy's time in the City of Lights didn't last long since George popped up in the UK for a photocall this morning.

George Clooney Wraps Up His Night With Stacy in Time For a Morning With Evan and Philip

George Clooney popped up in London today for a photo call and Q&A session for his project The Ides of March. He, along with his stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Evan Rachel Wood, were in the UK to participate in the BFI London Film Festival, which will also show George's The Descendants this week.

George was able to hop over to England after being in Paris just last night for an Ides premiere. George brought girlfriend Stacy Keibler as a date to the red carpet event, a mere few days after she accompanied him to the NYC debut of The Descendants Sunday. George has been doing double promotional duty for both movies recently. He was nonetheless able to fit in a Cabo getaway with Stacy earlier this month so she could celebrate her 32nd birthday in his favorite place. Stacy's still able to get her own work done despite all the jet-setting. Stacy loves to exercise with AquaBells when she's on the go, and she's turned that passion into a business by teaming up with OpenSky to sell them online.

George Clooney Celebrates Family at His Ides of March Premiere

George Clooney had the company of his Ides of March costars Evan Rachel Wood, who was decked out in head-to-toe maroon Gucci, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jeffrey Wright for last night's NYC premiere. We managed to snag a few minutes with George himself - and he's just as handsome in person! George spoke to us about the importance of filming the movie, which he directed, in the Midwest and, most importantly, in Cincinnati. He told us, "My father was an anchorman in Cincinnati, and I knew the area really well. I worked there plenty. I worked at the ladies shoe store there and sold men's suits in the area, so I knew most of the area." His father, Nick, was on hand for the afterparty at the Metropolitan Club along with George's mom, Nina. The Clooney trio mingled with other newsmen like Dan Rather and Al Roker - stay tuned for more from the red carpet later today on PopSugar TV!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Are Back in Black to Much Fanfare at TIFF

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were greeted by a huge crowd of screaming fans as they stepped onto the red carpet at the Moneyball premiere in Toronto last night. The Toronto International Film Festival has been under way since Thursday, but last night was particularly spectacular thanks to the back-to-back Moneyball and The Ides of March gala debuts. Brad was joined by all his costars - Jonah Hill told us it was the best night of his life! - and even the real-life Billy Beane on the TIFF red carpet. Brad and Angelina took a helicopter out of London together on Thursday headed to the festival but are only sweeping through Canada quickly before returning to their kids. Earlier in the day on Friday, Brad did take the stage for the Moneyball press conference where he joked that the film's lesson of taking risks was similar to breaking free from his religious upbringing. Brad looked handsome at both Moneyball events, and next up he and the rest of his cast will be taking his movie to Oakland for the stateside premiere on Sept. 19. Brad Pitt Is Sexy, Scruffy, and Cool at TIFF Moneyball Press Conference With the Guys

Brad Pitt shook hands and signed autographs for fans as he stepped in for a Moneyball press conference in Toronto this afternoon ahead of this evening's TIFF gala. Inside Brad joined costars Jonah Hill and Phillip Seymour Hoffman as well as their director Bennett Miller. It's also the world premiere of Moneyball, which is already earning Brad Oscar buzz for his portrayal of Oakland As general manager Billy Beane. Brad and Angelina were spotted taking off in a helicopter from London yesterday after she finished taking care of some work business in the city. The two will hit the red carpet side-by-side tonight and it's not their first TIFF together - Angelina was also along for the ride when Brad premiered The Assassination of Jesse James in 2007 and they looked red hot among all the other stars at the Toronto Film Festival through the years. George Clooney Kicks Off a Star-Studded Venice Film Festival With His Ides of March Ladies

George Clooney was the lucky man in the middle between Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei this morning at a photo call for The Ides of March during the first day of the Venice Film Festival. Evan was decked out in a suit from Dolce & Gabanna while Marisa wore a dress from Preen. They were joined by leading men Paul Giamatti and Philip Seymour Hoffman as well as writer Grant Heslov, though it seems Ryan Gosling has yet to get in on the fun. George made a grand entrance into the city yesterday, arriving on boat with glamorous friends like Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber. Cindy, Rande, and George were fresh off a fun weekend at the actor's Lake Como estate, which also hosted his movie buddies Marisa and Evan. George is currently all about his political thriller, but he just pulled the plug on another project - George dropped out of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., which is to be directed by Steven Soderbergh. We'll get another glimpse of George and his cast later today, as they're expected to be the first stars to dress up for a red carpet premiere!

Ryan Gosling was back on the Bloomfield Hills, MI, set of The Ides of March yesterday afternoon with his costar Philip Seymour Hoffman. The duo walked around the lawn of the Christ Church Cranbrook while their director, George Clooney, amused himself with a glow-in-the-dark ball. The cast has been working on the film for nearly a month, and last Friday were spotted shooting in Ann Arbor with Evan Rachel Wood. She missed out on the most recent fun as she had to go to NYC for last night's premiere of HBO's Mildred Pierce - and Evan revealed on the red carpet that George has blessed her with the nickname of Schnoz!

Jack Goes Boating: Muted Melodrama

Relationships have long been fodder for the introspective indie film, and Philip Seymour Hoffman tackles the subject in his directorial debut, Jack Goes Boating. The film centers on two couples: a long-married one enduring their own trials, and a tender new one. Hoffman stars as Jack, a dread-locked limo driver whose friends, Clyde and Lucy, try to set him up with Lucy's co-worker, Connie (Amy Ryan).

Though Jack Goes Boating can be so subtle at times that it gets tedious (and honestly, a bit boring), it's still a well-acted drama about striving to improve oneself and accepting imperfections in another person.

read more. Oscar winner Hoffman is great as anticipated, making Jack less of a reggae-obsessed loser and more of a sympathetic, unconventional leading man. Jack is an uncomplicated person, but he's admirable because he wants to grow. His first act of bettering himself is not even really for Connie, but for the hope of love with Connie. An offhand mention of boating from her spurs Jack to learn to swim; an offhand mention of dinner, and Jack is getting cooking lessons. He seems fickle at first, just a man desperate to find someone, but the movie uses its running time to paint a portrait of Jack's motivation. Connie is equally sympathetic, though she's a more damaged soul. Jack and Connie face so many challenges (including a horrific act of violence against Connie) when they're getting to know each other that it seems unlikely they'll ever make it to their boating date. However, these are two people who want to be loved so much that they refuse to give up on each other. Their courtship is awkward and difficult, but realistic. It's a nice change from the precious, quirky ways new relationships are often portrayed in indie films. Rounding out the fine cast are Daphne Rubin-Vega and John Ortiz (who reprise their original roles from the play the film is based on) as Lucy and Clyde. As the married couple that introduces Jack and Connie, they suddenly find their relationship dissolving in the face of their friends' fledgling romance. Jack and Connie's union seems to be a test Clyde and Lucy put themselves up to: do they still have that early spark? Did they ever? Does it matter? These are the questions the film raises, which is indicative of what the movie is interested in. Not the idealistic nature of love, but the nitty-gritty way we behave in relationships - for better or worse.

Movie Preview: Philip Seymour Hoffman in Jack Goes Boating

We've seen this story before - awkward, 40-something schlub falls in love with an equally awkward (yet more attractive) woman - but there's something about this trailer for Jack Goes Boating that's still endearing. In his directorial debut, Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as Jack, a limo driver who gets set up on a blind date by his only two friends in the world, Clyde (John Ortiz) and Lucy (Daphne Rubin-Vega). The lucky lady: a funeral parlor worker named Connie (Amy Ryan). They begin their courtship, but Jack hits a speed bump when Connie suggests that they go boating together - and Jack can't swim.

The film is based on an off-Broadway play, which coincidentally enough, starred three of the actors. As such, the preview has an intimate, slice of life feel, an off-beat sense of humor, and a few emotionally charged scenes. Sounds good to me, but my only question is, what is up with Hoffman's dreadlocks?! The movie premiered at Sundance, where it was well-received, but take a look at the trailer when you
