Not only has Kate Hudson been added to the already-magnificent cast of Nine, a film adaptation of the award-winning musical, but the role and a song were added to the movie specifically for her.
The musical, inspired by Fellini's 8 1/2, is said to be "sultry and enchanting," and the same could be said about most of the cast members. Daniel Day-Lewis plays "world famous film director Guido Contini as he prepares his latest picture and balances the numerous women in his life."

It's possible that any we slice it, the cast of the movie musical Nine will be getting a heavy-hitting, Oscar-winning actor for the role of Guido Contini. Originally the part was going to be played by sexy Javier Bardem, but he recently dropped out due to exhaustion.
Now Daniel Day-Lewis is eying the role of Guido who is described as "a famous film director who experiences personal and creative crisis while trying to balance all the women in his life."

Check out this lovely, vintage-y cover art for Panic at the Disco's next album Pretty Odd, due to release March 25. Today I got ahold of the single off this album, "Nine in the Afternoon," and I gotta say it's pretty fun.
Not the most memorable of tunes, "Nine in the Afternoon" is still enjoyable in a bouncy, skip-down-the-sidewalk kind of way.

One of the shows I most looked forward to last fall was "The Nine," ABC's serial drama about what happened to nine people who were held hostage during a bank robbery. The show premiered to positive reviews, and I was absolutely sucked in by the tension-filled pilot. But viewers didn't stick around to watch the mystery unravel — even I found myself letting unwatched episodes pile up on my TiVo — and the show was pulled in November after just seven episodes.

If you're a Ryan Reynolds fan like I am, you may have been waiting for The Nines to come out ever since you first heard about its Sundance buzz back in January. On August 31, we'll get our chance to see the super-cute Reynolds starring opposite the ever-amazing Hope Davis as well as Elle Fanning and Melissa McCarthy (Sookie from "Gilmore Girls"!).
The Nines is an intriguing drama with existential themes.

While Marilyn Manson is running around being creepy and dating a 19-year-old, Trent Reznor is still hunkering down and making good music. With both Nine Inch Nails and Tori Amos releasing new albums, I feel sort of like I'm reliving my high school years, but when it comes to quality hard music, I've always had a soft spot for Reznor.
NIN's Year Zero hits stores today — the band's first album since 2005's With Teeth.
