Glee-ful Highlights From Episode "Big Brother"

Glee is back after its break and the cliff-hanger of Quinn's accident, and we see what happens with her and whether Rachel and Finn went through with their wedding. We also get to meet Blaine's impossibly good-looking brother Cooper (guest star Matt Bomer), and though everyone else seems to be entranced with him, his visit makes Blaine confront their relationship issues.

We've been waiting a while for the show to come back, and aside from learning about Quinn's state, not much happens. It also kind of feels like an excuse to showcase Matt Bomer's singing and dancing abilities . . . which I actually have no problem with. Let's break down his performances and the other highlights after the jump.

Paralympian April Holmes Making a Name as a Winner

April Holmes may have lost part of her leg, but the Paralympics star refuses to be seen as handicapped. She's on a quest to finish what she started in 2008 and come home with two medals in London. Follow more journeys to London on espnW.com.

April Holmes was in first place during the 200-meter final at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing when the spike on her prosthetic left leg got caught on the track, causing her to fall to the ground. Another competitor stepped on Holmes' face with a track spike. Holmes also caused Marie-Amelie le Fur of France to fall. Despite a right eye filled with blood and a bruised leg, Holmes hobbled to the finish line to complete the race. "I have this thing about finishing whatever you start, so despite my condition I was going to cross the finish line," she wrote in her blog.

Five days later, despite being sore and tired, Holmes raced in the 100-meter final. Her leg and hips hurt so much she could barely warm up. She even told her competitors they were going to win the race. "I could barely lift my leg, but I never let [my family] know," Holmes said. "They would be too concerned and I didn't need the pity party. Instead, I needed energy and God." As Holmes likes to say it was "by the grace of God," that she crossed the finish line to win gold in the 100 in 13.72 seconds. That's three seconds slower than the able-body Olympic record held by Florence Griffith-Joyner. Holmes would later discover she did it all with a labral tear in her left hip.

Failure Not an Option For Texas' Beverly Kearney

Holmes was elated with her first gold, but on the flight home she couldn't help but think she should have two medals around her neck. That's why she began training two months later for the 2012 Games. Her goal is to claim the 200 medal that eluded her in Beijing.

Before the Paralympics - where she became the fastest amputee in her class, holding world records in the 100, 200 and 400 - Holmes was an All-American in the 400 and 4x400 relay at Norfolk State. After graduation she started working and gave up competitive athletics.

American Idol: Was the Right Person Voted Off?

Erika Van Pelt lost something more than her golden locks this week - the American Idol hopeful also said goodbye to her shot at instant stardom. Billy Joel week wasn't easy, and DeAndre Brackensick and HeeJun Han also earned spots in the bottom three. We know if mentor Jimmy had the final say, jokester HeeJun probably would have been sent home.

Unfortunately, it was Erika's rendition of "New York State of Mind" that failed to impress America, and as the judges chose not to use their save on her, (remember, Erika was one of their wild card picks this season) her time on the Idol stage came to an end. What do you think? Were the judges right not to save her? Was her exit imminent?

American Idol: Who Deserves to Get Cut This Week?

It was Billy Joel week on American Idol, and the contestants were in a New York state of mind - or at least Erika was, who was sporting a fresh new short 'do. (As Ryan put it, "not since the Sanjaya ponyhawk have we seen such a transformation.") Diddy was the musical mentor with Tommy Hilfiger on wardrobe. Much to Tommy's chagrin, Phillip Phillips wore gray, again, and Diddy was confused about whether HeeJun was a singer or a clown.

Mentor observations aside, it wasn't the most impressive of performance shows. The judges continued their love affair with Joshua Ledet but the usually outstanding Hollie Cavanaugh was only kind of meh. Admittedly, Jessica Sanchez's rendition of "Everybody Has a Dream" was goose bump inducing and "Piano Man" might be our favorite Colton Dixon song so far. Altogether, this week was a mixed bag, but the question remains: who deserves to be sent packing?

10. Renting a Car With a Debit Card

While many rental agencies require that you pay your deposit with a credit card, some will accept your debit card instead. However, agencies typically have a clause in the contract stating that they can pull your credit report if you choose to pay with a debit card. That credit check causes a hard inquiry, which will ding your score a few points.

A hard inquiry is when a lender, credit card issuer or other financial institution requests a credit check in order to decide whether or not to extend a line of credit to you, such as a credit card or home loan. Each hard inquiry usually drops your credit score by a few points and will remain on your credit report for two years. The other kind of inquiry, soft inquiries, are made by people who don't intend to take action, such as your landlord checking your credit, and won't have any effect on your credit score.

In today's tough market, Generation Y has had a particularly difficult time finding and keeping a job: While the job market struggles to regain its footing, with the national unemployment rate at 9.5% as of June, 25- to 34-year-olds suffer joblessness at a 10.3% rate, and 20- to 24-year-olds are unemployed at a staggering 15.3% rate. But some areas have held up better against the recession. Austin, Tex., Salt Lake City and Washington, D.C., for example, have experienced lower unemployment than the rest of the country.

Jobs in certain industries are more prevalent in some areas. For example, if you’re interested in politics, the nation’s capital is the obvious choice. Or if you aspire to “make it work” as fashion’s next hot designer, the Big Apple might suit you best. How to Save Money on Health Insurance When You're Young

I recently asked my twentysomething friends what they'd like to know about getting health insurance. The most common response? "Everything." Evidently, and understandably, those of us navigating the maze of health insurance for the first time are less than clear on the ins and outs. But skipping it could be even more costly. Although the number of uninsured young adults is falling, thanks to new federal rules requiring most insurers to allow children on parents' health plans up to age 26, more than one-fourth of young people remain without coverage. In 2010, about 27% of 18-to-24 year olds and 28% of 25-to-34 year olds had no health insurance, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. "I have seen so many stories about young people who ended up saddled with enormous medical bills," says Kathleen Stoll, deputy executive director of Families USA, a health-coverage advocacy organization. "It's not a risk you want to take if you can find an affordable source of coverage." Here's how to get good coverage without going broke:

Individual Coverage

Even if you have the option of employer or parental coverage, you may be able to find less-expensive coverage on your own. In most states, healthy, young people can find individual policies in the private market with premiums of about $150 to $200 a month, says Ankeny Minoux, president of the Foundation for Health Coverage Education. A high-deductible policy may run closer to $100 a month. On average, single coverage through an employer costs an employee $921 a year in premiums, or about $77 per month, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. But the cost varies widely by employer. You can shop for and compare policies at sites such as eHealthInsurance.com. Or find a broker who will help you get coverage through www.nahu.org.

Check your plan options carefully, says Aaron Smith, executive director of Young Invincibles, an organization that advocates for health care for young people. You may find that, say, certain prescriptions or doctors you visit regularly aren't covered. And keep in mind that premiums you pay through an employer will be deducted from your paycheck before taxes, a perk you won't have with individual coverage.
