As a child, Natalie Wood made her way onto the silver screen as the little girl in Miracle on 34th Street. Surmounting a troubled childhood that included an abusive alcoholic father and an overbearing stage mother, Wood managed to make the transition into more mature roles in films such as Rebel Without a Cause and West Side Story.

Her chestnut bob, thick, dark brows, and wide, toothy smile afforded her the role as Hollywood's all-American girl next door. Unintimidated by Hollywood's conservative take on celebrity back in those days, Wood quickly became known for dating many male actors who were rumored to be gay in order to stir up controversy and garner attention for her upcoming roles.

Natalie was known for her coiffed bob and wispy bangs. If you're interested in resurrecting this '50s style, roll your hair in jumbo hot rollers, brush the ends lightly so they flip out, and lightly tease the crown. The most stunning part of Natalie's look are her big, dark, natural brows. Lucky for us, this look is back in style - so stop over-tweezing those brows, stat! If they are on the sparse side, lightly fill them in with a brow pencil, and finish by brushing them upwards with a clear brow gel.
Natalie's freckles are part of what make her look so innocent and approachable, so if you have them, embrace them.

The Ladies Bring Their Most Glamorous Gowns to the Golden Globes Red Carpet

The red carpet at last night's Golden Globe Awards was filled with stars in their finest looks. Charlize Theron stole the show in a gorgeous Dior gown while Kate Winslet, who picked up the award for best actress in Mildred Pierce, posed in a black and white look by Jenny Packham. Angelina Jolie arrived on the arm of Brad Pitt in a neutral Atelier Versace with a pop of red. Presenter Kate Beckinsale wore Roberto Cavalli for her turn on the carpet with husband Len Wiseman and Fashion Star's Nicole Richie got glamorous in a beaded Julien Macdonald number and a House of Harlow clutch.

Red was a hot color this evening with presenter Reese Witherspoon in a sexy, fitted Zac Posen and George Clooney's girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, in a brightly hued Valentino gown with a bow detail. Natalie Portman went bright in a pink Lanvin after spending the weekend with her family in Santa Monica. The Help's Viola Davis showed leg in Emilio Pucci and Emma Stone broke away from her green streak with a two-tone Lanvin look.

Things took a dark turn with a group of ladies choosing classic black for the big event. Rooney Mara, who was nominated for best actress in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, continued her run of daring ensembles with a cutout Nina Ricci. Mila Kunis presented the best supporting actor award with Gerard Butler in Dior while Julianne Moore went with a strapless Chanel. One of the evening's winners, Claire Danes, showed skin in a backless J Mendel and presenter Salma Hayek rocked an edgy Gucci as she arrived with husband Francois-Henri Pinault.

There was more color mixing up the carpet with Modern Family's Sofia Vergara in a blue fishtail Vera Wang and Kelly Osbourne in a Zac Posen gown of the same hue. My Week With Marilyn winner Michelle Williams accepted her statue in a velvety Jason Wu while Melissa McCarthy took her turn in front of the cameras in a green Badgley Mischka and Evan Rachel Wood wowed in a Gucci Premiere halter.

Buzz In: What Pop Culture Costumes Did You See This Year?

Now that Halloween Monday and the weekend of parties has passed, it's time to talk about all the costumes you saw! In my neck of the woods, I saw several different Black Swan costumes, which was also a hot one in Hollywood, as evidenced by Lea Michele's white swan version here.

Besides Natalie Portman's split personality from the Oscar-winning flick, there also seemed to be lots of Kate Middletons and Toddlers & Tiaras tributes, which are pretty topical. There were also plenty of classic pop culture costumes, like Raoul Duke from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction. But I want to hear more from you guys - what pop culture costumes did you see (or wear) this year?

Evan Rachel Wood Gets a Deal With Gucci

Earlier this month, Natalie Portman was named the new face of Parfums Christian Dior, and fresh off the heels of that news, Evan Rachel Wood of True Blood fame has just linked up with a similar deal. Joining the high-end fragrance spokesperson brigade, Evan Rachel will be the face behind a new Gucci scent.

While the details behind the fragrance are still unknown, Gucci's Frida Giannini told WWD that she chose the young actress due to the fact that she isn't too well-known and because she possesses a "strong character." If art imitates life and Evan Rachel's character, Sophie-Anne Leclerq, had it her way, I bet the fragrance would smell like money and power.

While this is Evan Rachel's first time fronting a fragrance, her love of Gucci is nothing new, as she's been known to wear the brand's gowns on several red carpet occasions. What do you think of this pairing? Is it a good fit, or not?
