You've probably read by now that Dane Cook has decried the poster for his upcoming rom-com, My Best Friend's Girl, crafting a detailed list on his MySpace page of everything wrong with it. Cook is mostly offended by what he believes to be a poor Photoshop job that results in him looking like a schmuck.
Yet, he also expresses concern that "the wrong poster sends the wrong audience into the theater," a lesson he has purportedly learned the hard way.

Oh, wow, what have we here? Dane Cook playing a gross jerk again — only this time, he gets paid for it. And, in the end, it looks like he gets Kate Hudson.

The facts:
Kate Hudson has been cast in the comedy Bachelor No. 2, a movie that "revolves around a man who is hired by men who have been dumped to take their ex-girlfriends out on nightmare dates, thereby convincing the women to return to their boyfriends. But trouble arises when [the man]'s character is hired to take out the ex-girlfriend of his best pal."

In She's Out of My League, Jay Baruchel plays a guy who inexplicably starts dating a gorgeous girl who friends have rated a "hard 10." Nate Torrence plays one of his friends, and the two very funny actors recently sat down to talk about the movie, becoming friends on set, and the controversial scenes they wish had never made it in the film.
- On whether they knew each other and their other costars before filming:
Nate: No, we didn't know each other at all.

Happy Valentine's Day from The Office! And what a sweet holiday treat it is. This week's episode not only delivers oodles of quips, but I also got two of my dream gifts: the return of Jim to the sales team and more Kelly Kapoor.

This Winter Tuesday brings lots of great new DVD releases (a blessing if you're stuck inside!). In addition to the titles below, Robert Pattinson's Little Ashes, The Boys Are Back, horror flick Saw VI, and Surrogates are all out on video.

Drew Barrymore's directorial debut didn't chart highly at the box office, but I enjoyed her girl-power good time a great deal.

Amy Adams takes a break from Oscar-nominated roles this weekend to star as the female lead in the romantic comedy Leap Year, about a woman who decides to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, citing Irish tradition (watch the trailer here). I had a chance to chat with the actress about the movie, her character, and the odd conventions of marriage proposals.
- On why she chose this project: I've been looking for a romantic comedy because they're films I always go see, so I wanted to do one.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner may be dominating the promotional circuit right now, but they're not the only cast members with something to say about New Moon. I had the opportunity to chat with costars Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, aka Emmett and Alice Cullen, during their recent stopover in SF. They chatted about their characters, the vampire craze, and what it's like to be a "Twilight celebrity."
