I questioned the substance of Weezer's single "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" off their upcoming album Raditude when I heard it a couple months ago, but the video is the kind that actually makes me like the song more.
I'm crediting the video's director, Marc Webb, who helmed (500) Days of Summer, for the retro-hip look. It's set in a '50s-ish town called "Weezerville" with tons of Americana touches, like a barber shop and plenty of era-appropriate costumes.

Adam Lambert's new song "Time For Miracles" leaked online a few days ago, and I was admittedly mixed about it. Now, the music video for the song is making the rounds on the blogosphere, and I'm actually digging it more than I thought I would!
It's from the upcoming film 2012, so it has the obligatory movie scenes, but dare I say, Lambert's pretty darn sexy in it.

Spike Jonze is the man today. After Where the Wild Things Are took the top box office spot over the weekend, the Internet is also buzzing with this new short film he made with Kanye West. I'm on a bit of a Jonze kick myself, so I was excited to check it out — especially since I liked their combined efforts on West's video for "Flashing Lights."

This weekend I'll be heading to the Treasure Island Music Festival for two days of music just outside of San Francisco. The awesome lineup includes MGMT, The Flaming Lips, The Decemberists, and Yo La Tengo just to name a few. I'm also excited to see Thao With the Get Down Stay Down, whose front-runner rocks out on her guitar to catchy, upbeat tunes that always make for a fun live show.

Fans everywhere have been anxiously waiting for the video from the New Moon soundtrack, Death Cab For Cutie's "Meet Me on the Equinox." It's the first song off the album, and the video features the band playing between clips from the movie. While it's not among my favorite Death Cab songs, it does seem to fit the bill for New Moon's big breakup between Edward and Bella.

There's some music and dancing in their current indie romance, (500) Days of Summer, but Zooey Deschanel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the movie's director, Marc Webb, aren't stopping there. They've put together a little music video to Deschanel's own "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?" which she made with M.

The video that launched a thousand YouTube copycat videos, Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" is, of course, all over the list of 2009 MTV Video Music Award nominations. Beyonce's got a bit of competition, however, in Lady Gaga, who ties her for the most nominations this year (they each earned nine nods). Beyonce said she is "excited and honored" to be tied with Lady Gaga, and that she's "spent so much time watching all the great versions [of 'Single Ladies'] people created all around the world.
