Friends and family members who have gone through the pre-nuptial process themselves can offer plenty of practical tips for planning a wedding. But then there's the not-so-common advice to be gleaned from the movies. Such as: Set aside some bail money, only take one muscle relaxer on the Big Day, and don't get talked into having an armadillo cake at your wedding.

While there are several runners-up to this list (like, say, Speed Racer and Nights in Rodanthe), these are the five movies during which I seriously considered leaving the theater. Big ol' thumbs down, if I may borrow the gesture from Mr. Ebert. To see which five I picked, hit "Start."

Paul Haggis (Crash) just added a new actor to the cast of his latest project, The Next Three Days: RZA. That may sound like a surprising choice — what's the founder of Wu-Tang doing in a serious drama?! — but the big screen is nothing new to some of the world's biggest rappers.

Still hunting for that perfect Halloween costume? Never fear, for I am willing to share some of my ideas with you, culled from this year's flicks. Everyone loves a good pop culture reference, and the best part is that these are super easy to put together last minute.

Just yesterday I was talking about how Chris Pine is blowing up after the big success of Star Trek, and his name is already making headlines again this morning. Pine will likely be the next actor to take on the role of Jack Ryan in the next film adaption of the popular Tom Clancy novels. A few actors have taken on the role in the past, and other names have been attached to the project before, so let's take a look at the evolution of Jack Ryan — with a few of my own suggestions for who could take on the role.

Summit Entertainment is jumping on the boy BFF bandwagon. The studio just purchased a pitch for an all-new bromantic comedy titled We Love You, in the vein of this year's Paul Rudd and Jason Segel hit I Love You, Man. (If that's the case, they may want to consider tweaking that title.) The movie focuses on two guy friends who try to undo a sticky situation when they realize that they're both dating the same woman.

It's a strange experience when you realize you're enjoying a movie more than you enjoyed the book on which it's based because so often the opposite is true. After all, presumably an author has the advantage because he/she can provide deep insight into characters that actors have to convey with but a glance. Every so often, though, a story makes a lot more sense onscreen.

Today's the last day of Summer, and while there's so much to look forward to in the Fall (like movies — check out my picks for comedies, dramas, and everything else), it's always bittersweet to let go of the longer, warmer days. To make the seasonal transition less painful, I've put together a little sayonara — my favorite movie scenes of shirtless men. Some are iconic, some are sentimental, but all of them are as hot as the Summer days we're bidding farewell.
