Jan 15 2010 - 9:45am Denzel Washington has the sort of actor intensity needed to play an apocalyptic superhero, and
The Book of Eli positions him as such. Dressed in shades with a machete at his back, he swiftly slices at his enemies while showing no expression or sign of sweat. He's like a Bourne for the new dark ages: precise, robotic, and killing in order to survive after a war that destroys most of the earth (and its inhabitants).

dabg, we're going to see this in an hour.
1saw it. the music in it was really good.
2i didn't think it was as bad as this review made it seem. Sure there were some dumb parts but I liked it
3I saw it. It was pretty good, although I'm still scratching my head at some parts. This is Denzel's "Vanilla Sky" for me.
4I really wanted to like this movie, but the "twist" at the end was just like...oh...that's it? Unlike other movies where the twist makes everything make sense, it didn't. And then it was just over. And I have to agree with Mila Kunis' style in the movie, cracked me up that although the world is desolate and people are fighting over moist towelettes, she scrounges up some hot aviators, skinny jeans, and a fashionable scarf. I just expected a lot more out of this movie.
