How to Catch the Lyrid Meteor Shower This Weekend (Even If It's Cloudy)

An annual star event, called the Lyrids meteor shower will be lighting up the sky late tonight and early Sunday morning. The light show kicks off in the Northeastern sky at midnight local time, but even if your sky is overcast, NASA will have you covered - it will be broadcasting the sky from a network of Earth-bound cameras, will have a camera aboard a student-launched weather balloon, and the astronauts aboard the International Space Station will be snapping pics as they fly by.

Oak Grove Observatory - Take a peek into the skies with this camera from Louisiana.
Twin Pines Observatory - This California cam activates when the sun goes down.
Sandia Sentinel Fireball Camera Network - It's a bit of a blurry cam, but you'll be able to catch some of the brightest meteors on this live stream from Texas.

Robert Pattinson was able to spend his holiday break at home in London with friends and family. On Saturday, he linked up with some old pals for an evening at a pub! He was seen chatting with friends, including one brunette girl, while drinking a couple beers at the Sun Inn. He stayed out until past midnight, but apparently still spent Christmas Sunday morning with his parents Clare and Richard. Robert left his childhood home this morning, though, already looking toward his next fun night coming up on New Year's Eve.

Steve Martin Does Not Approve of Clooney-Style Pranks

Steve Martin chatted about The Big Year at a recent press day in NYC along with his costars Owen Wilson and Jack Black. The trio, who play birders competing for a world record in the film, have great comic chemistry, and they joked about their antics on set and even confessed to a night of debauchery. The Big Year trailer gives a peek of what's to come when the movie is out on Oct. 14. The three get along great, but Steve in particular was happy their on-set time didn't include any out-there pranks. They said:

What was it like on set – were there any pranks?

Steve Martin: I’m not much of a prankster.

Owen Wilson: Oh come on, April Fool's Day - you wait for that to come around like nobody’s business.

SM: On April Fool’s Day, I change people’s calendar to April 2nd.

OW: It wasn’t really a prank-filled set

SM: When I hear about a prank-filled set, I think, "Ugh, I’m so glad I’m not on that movie."

Jack Black: Every time I do a press junket I always regret that I didn’t pull a George Clooney prank, so that I would have a prank to talk about later. We really missed an opportunity there, guys.

SM: We should have hired a writer to come up with some pranks that we could have said we played. We did have fun and we hung out on the set.

There's no denying Rachel McAdams has been looking as beautiful as ever during her various 2011 Cannes Film Festival appearances. Good, clean living plays a part (as well as some enviable genetics), but it's also thanks to the work of her talented makeup artist (and sister), Kayleen McAdams. Learn how Kayleen created three of Rachel's Cannes red-carpet looks below:

"For the Midnight in Paris photo call, the dress was very youthful and fun. We knew we were focusing on the eyes and skin for the premiere [later that day], so we chose to do a bright fun lip," said Kayleen.

Eyes: Kayleen applied Nars Duo Eye Shadow in Silk Road (a palette of pink and rose-gold shades) to Rachel's eyes and topped off her lashes with CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion in Very Black.
Cheeks and lips: Nars Blush in Mata Hari gave a bright, rosy cheek, and Stila Convertible Color in Fuchsia provided the finishing touch.

2011 Cannes Lineup: Pitt, Depp, Gosling, and More Are Heading Overseas

The 2011 Cannes Film Festival is less than a month away, and the event will host some of Hollywood's biggest stars and premiere a ton of movies we've speculated about for months. We already knew that Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris would open the festival, and that Terrence Malick's much-anticipated Tree of Life would be in the competition. So what other films can we expect to hear about? The Ryan Gosling vehicle Drive will also be competing as well as Lars Von Trier's Melancholia and Pedro Almodovar's The Skin I Live In. Disney will be showcasing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides out of the competition along with Jodie Foster's The Beaver.

LeAnn Brings Out a Red Hot Bikini During Her Mexican Getaway With Eddie

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are back in LA now, but their getaway to Cabo over the weekend was chock-full of fun bikini photo shoots - LeAnn broke out a tan two-piece to soak up the sun, and later changed into a red number to lounge, sip drinks, and, naturally, engage in some PDA with Eddie. The couple celebrated their just-announced engagement, which they celebrated properly on New Year's by kissing as the clock struck midnight.
