The creators of Will and Grace have hit on their next project, a comedy for ABC about another mismatched couple. Instead of a gay male lawyer and a straight female interior designer, the central figures this time are best friends and business partners - both guys, one straight, one gay.

According to Variety, the story revolves around a test of the two guys' business and personal relationships "when both wind up with serious significant others at the same time. The duo must balance their friendship and their romantic relationships."

Art imitates life?
This sounds like familiar territory for the creators, David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. They happen to be both best friends and business partners - and yes, one is straight and the other gay.

Architectural Digest features two cover girls this November: Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who share their Beverly Hills home with the magazine. The 9,500-square-foot home was built by renowned architects Buff & Hensman and later expanded by interior designer Melinda Ritz. Former residents of the home include Joan Collins and the couple’s friend Will & Grace co-creator Max Mutchnick
Ellen and Portia were married in the home's media room.
De Rossi takes advantage of the home's pool by exercising in it with lap swimming.
De Rossi notes that they knew they wanted the home immediately: "We just knew before we even walked through the gate."
Tommy and Kathleen Clements, Cliff Fong, and Harrison Holman were among the Los Angeles dealers and decorators who helped craft the look of the home.
DeGeneres also purchased two neighboring properties, replacing one with a pond and several dozen carob, pear, and oak trees.
The Beverly Hills compound is the seventh home that DeGeneres and De Rossi have shared - one for every year they’ve been together.
