Patrick Prepares Us to Say Goodbye to Season 4 of Grey's

Patrick Dempsey got in touch with his preppier side posing with Michelle Monaghan at a photocall for Made of Honor in Amsterdam yesterday. Their romantic comedy wasn't exactly a box office homerun, but luckily Patrick still has his day job at Seattle Grace to fall back on. Speaking of which, who's excited for the big Grey's Anatomy finale? Tonight is clearly all about which David will be crowned American Idol, but tomorrow the spotlight is reserved for the eternal question of whether or not Meredith and McDreamy belong together.

Dempsey and Michelle Witness Red Carpet Wedding

Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan looked adorably casual for TRL yesterday then cleaned up quite nicely for the premiere of Made of Honor in NYC. It's only appropriate that they got dressed to the nines for the red carpet, since it wasn't just about celebrity photo ops - one couple won the contest to get married at the premiere! The ceremony was officiated by Entertainment Tonight's Mary Hart and included a Honeymoon in Paris and dance lessons. Patrick commented, "I'm sure the couple's going to remember this for the rest of their lives." Patrick Dempsey Is Made of Honor in London

The arrival of A List American actors continues, with Patrick Dempsey joining Ashton Kutcher and those hunky Heroes on our side of the pond. McDreamy was in town to attend the screening of his new film Made Of Honor at the Soho Hotel last night, with his gorgeous wife Jillian by his side. An interesting mix of celebrities turned up to the screening, from Jimmy Choo and David Gest to Claudia Winkleman (love her) and Eastenders' Mohammed George. The film is out here on 2 May, but our girl Buzz isn't overly excited. Still, a little McDreamy fix could be just what the doctor ordered.

Dempsey Describes the Best Life

Not surprisingly, Patrick Dempsey looks dapper and sexy in color as well as black & white on the pages of the December issue of Best Life. His new movies Enchanted and Made of Honor are lighthearted, but in the article Patrick gets serious about his hobbies and his career. Here are highlights:

On Grey's Anatomy: "The show is like running a marathon. It feels like it never stops. The obligations you have for the show-it's relentless. The amount of exposure and the visibility…it was a big change for me. Coming to terms with it has been the real challenge."
On putting family first: "At the end of the day, family-and all of its joys and heartaches-is the grounding force. It's why you do everything. It's why you go to work, and why you put up with what you have to put up with, why you do what you have to do. Because you want a better life for them."
On success: "Do you sacrifice now so you can have a lot of time later? So you can have the financial stability to go, 'You know what? I'm at home now. I'm going to take you to football practice, to ballet, and to horse riding. I'll be there and I'll watch you.' I guess that's the dream that everyone wants. I guess success is how much free time you have."

We love that Patrick's such a family man. Sounds like he just wants to settle down and relax like McDreamy in his trailer on Grey's and his character in Made of Honor which looks surprisingly cute. Patrick Spends Hiatus Far From Seattle Grace Drama

Patrick Dempsey looks like he is having a great time on the set of Made of Honor outside Saks in NYC. I'm sure he's loving being back in the movies, especially considering what a dramafest the set of Grey's Anatomy sounds like. Perhaps some of that tension will be alleviated next season now that Isaiah Washington is off the show. It's hard to imagine Dr. Shepherd without his reluctant friendship with Dr. Burke, but hopefully this new crop of interns will be able to successfully and pleasantly spice up the dynamic. You know, with Derek and Meredith finally maintaining a healthy relationship, of course.

Dempsey Doesn't Want McDreamy to be Depressed

Patrick is still working hard on Made of Honor while on his hiatus from Grey's but that doesn't mean he isn't still thinking about the show. Just like us he thinks that Grey's was too dark this season. He said, “I would love for Derek and Meredith to have a healthy relationship. It got a little too depressing last year.” Ellen totally backs him up. “I don’t think you need sadness to have drama." We couldn't agree more. Hopefully the Grey's writers will take this hint and lighten things up this next season.

Patrick Cleans Up Real Nice

First we got to see yummy Patrick all dressed up on the set of Grey's and now here he is in a tux! Lucky us! Grey's may have wrapped for the season, but he's keeping busy on his Summer break making Made of Honor where he plays - you guessed it - a Maid of Honor. Apparently in the movie he is trying to win over the bride, and judging from how cute he is in this tux, we're betting he succeeds!

Patrick Leaves The Scrubs on Grey's

Patrick was looking younger than ever while back on the set of Made of Honor with his co-star Michelle Monaghan this week. It's nice to see that he's wandering back onto the big screen post-Grey's success, but I'm not sure he can ever match the cinematic masterpiece of Can't Buy Me Love. Masterpiece. Speaking of Grey's, last night was the Big 2 Hour Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice Pilot event. I, for one, am emotionally exhausted (and in a rage at every character on the show). You know, not that I'm emotionally invested or anything.

Patrick to Be a Maid of Honor

Grey's Anatomy has really breathed new life into Patrick's movie career. He was just in Freedom Writers with Hilary Swank and now he's on the set of his latest film, Made of Honor. It's about a man who tries to win over the woman of his dreams by becoming her Maid of Honor. Hmm, how does that make sense? Sounds like a fun romantic comedy but it's no Can't Buy Me Love.
