Harvey Korman, the Emmy-winning actor from The Carol Burnett Show has died at age 81, Zap2It reports.
Billboard has the news that Toni Braxton has canceled all her scheduled shows in order to concentrate on her health.
The memoir of Elissa Wall, Stolen Innocence: My Story of Growing Up in a Polygamous Sect, Becoming a Teenage Bride and Breaking Free of Warren Jeffs, will be adapted for the big screen, Variety reports. The book is also one of CitzenSugar's suggested reads right now.

According to Disney execs, their latest Narnia movie, Prince Caspian is not doing well at the box office simply because of the timing of the movie's release, writes ComingSoon.
According to Zap2It, Ray Winstone has joined the cast of HBO's police drama pilot Last of the Ninth.

The Results Are In: Recast "Little House on the Prairie"

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

I got a kick out of some of the high-profile groupings that some of you put together for the wholesome Ingalls family, such as kcharb's suggestion of Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon as Charles and Caroline Ingalls. I also liked maeve's idea to have Laura Linney play Caroline, and total's suggestion of Abigail Breslin playing Laura. Perhaps my favorite Charles idea was Nathan Fillion, as put forth by alynn.

Recast "Little House on the Prairie" and Win a Prize!

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

For this week's challenge, let's take a covered-wagon ride back to a bygone era when the wholesome Ingalls family embodied the American pioneer spirit. If you could recast the 1974-1983 TV series "Little House on the Prairie," based on the novels by Laura Ingalls Wilder, which actors would you choose? Who could play Laura Ingalls (originally played by Melissa Gilbert), or the ultimate prairie Pa, Charles Ingalls (made memorable by Michael Landon)? Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House on the Prairie" book series will always have a place in my heart. My third grade teacher Mrs. Hester made my class read the entire series. At the time, I didn't really enjoy them and found their Midwest lifestyle completely distant from my own. As I got older however, I began to reread them and fell in love with the Wilder family and their do-it-yourself lifestyle: picking berries, making maple syrup, sewing clothes, and building cabins. If there was a field nearby to frolic in, this is what I would wear (with my hair in two perfect braids, of course)!

What 15 States Would Smell Like If They Were Candles

Baxter of California and original Parisian cool-girl boutique Colette have teamed up to give California its very own honorary candle: Cruel Summer ($30). While it's fittingly scented with a green floral accord "inspired by the scent and ambience of California," this definitely sounds a little bit more like So Cal to this Northern California girl. Organic by John Patrick's Fall Presentation

We're thrilled to present our favorite Lucky story here on Fab!

My fashion week started off with a (freezing) bang with the Organic by John Patrick presentation. I walked in and immediately noticed the models rocking what seemed to be an homage to Laura Ingalls' character on Little House on the Prairie in their long, floral-printed chiffon dresses - so Kristen McMenamy early '90s grunge. The rest of the looks had a very laid-back vibe with a hint of prep school - seriously similar to the staffer style here at Lucky.

There were crisp oxfords, buttoned "librarian style" (i.e., all the way up), under heavy, cropped sweaters, high-waisted shorts and textured knit thigh-high tights. The footwear was all provided by Hunter, and what a departure from the rubber boots that I have seen all too much of this wet winter. There were cropped ankle booties with a modest heel and tall lace-up boots that were very wellie-meets-Victoriana and, dare I say, sexy enough to be worn even on a sunny day. Overall, the collection was wearable, stylish and eco-friendly. What's not to love?
