According to Variety, the Weinsteins are making a bunch of their movies into stage musicals, starting with Finding Neverland, and later including Shakespeare in Love, Chocolat and Cinema Paradiso, among others.
Kevin Bacon is joining Renee Zellweger and Chris Noth in My One and Only, writes ComingSoon.
Sarah Silverman, Niecy Nash, Rashida Jones, and Norm McDonald are among the panelists for TBS's new version of Match Game, writes the Hollywood Reporter.
Annoyed with how slowly MTV has been moving on their movie, Motley Crue is looking for a new partner to help them get the project done, Billboard reports.

Wilmer Valderrama will star in a one-hour comedy pilot for Fox called The Emancipation of Ernesto, writes MediaWeek.
Viral video director Wayne McClammy is on a roll: in addition to directing Cool School, he just sold a comedy script to MGM and will most likely direct that one as well. According to Variety, his movie is titled Le Car and follows "an unconventional group of CIA agents."
The AP has the news that a whole slew of Hollywood folks will be getting stars on the Walk of Fame next year, like Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Felicity Huffman, Tim Burton, Cameron Diaz and The Village People.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has altered the rules for the Oscars so that "the Original Song category will only allow a maximum of two nominated songs from any one film," so movies like Enchanted or Dreamgirls won't dominate the category, Zap2It writes.
TV Guide points out that the Sesame Street guest stars for next season - Jessica Alba, David Beckham, and Heidi Klum, among them - are pretty darn hot for a kids' show.

Prince Harry Hits the Club Amid Rumors of a Reconnection With Chelsy Davy

Prince Harry hit the clubs in London on Saturday night. He was seen heading out to a car following a late one at the city's Le Baron outpost. The prince has reunited with some of his favorite UK hot spots following his successful tour of Latin and South America on behalf of his grandmother's upcoming Diamond Jubilee. It didn't take long for Harry to return to the partying once he got back to England in mid-March. Now, though, he has an extra reason to celebrate - his brother Prince William is back from the Falklands! Harry also might have pep in his step thanks to developments with his ex Chelsy Davy. Harry and Chelsy Davy were close at a recent event, prompting some to think they'd reconciled. However, they're apparently just good friends as Chelsy's now dating Harry's friend Blaise Patrick.

Women Only? Not Even Close

There's been some talk over, what, the last couple months, regarding ladies and their access to birth control. Or basic health care. Or abortions. Or breast exams. Really, pick any of them. Now, while I could (quite easily) get going regarding Komen's debacle with Planned Parenthood or the #issacircus of a hearing that ruined my day, that's not what I'd really like to discuss with Good Men today.

Objectifying Ryan Gosling

Of course, some of you might tell me that you don't want to hear my rants because, hey, those be lady problems and why would you rant to men about them (*please note* I did not say all of you – just… some).

And that, now that you mention it, is exactly my point.

All of these controversies, from Komen to birth control, have been overwhelmingly framed in this way: religious/moral freedom vs. women's rights. Or something along those lines. Here, the details aren't what's important –the point is the vs. women part.

X, Y, Z vs. women. Period. Just us ladies, out there all on our own. Wantin' things like breast exams and the pills. It's a woman's-issues thing, right?

Ahem. Wrong.

I am so done with these arguments being framed this way. These are not women's-only issues and rights. These are far far more than that.

Why? Well, since you asked, let me try to explain.

First, let's just pretend we're talking about birth control – namely, birth control pills, or maybe even morning after pills. For sake of simplicity, let's also narrow that into birth control only used for avoiding pregnancy – the idea that ladies be only wanting the birth control so they can be having the sex without the procreating. Forget all other arguments. For now.

I find it rather interesting that no one seems to bring up with whom all those ladies be having all the sex without the babies with. Well. Lesbians don't really worry about getting preggers all that much. So that leave . . . menfolk, or ladies born as men. And, ya know, I would hazard a guess that a great majority of that sex involving penises would be within committed, monogamous relationships. I would also hazard a guess that, in those committed, monogamous relationships, part of the reason the lady be on the pill is because she is not using condoms with her partner. Why? Because she probably trusts him and they no longer have need to worry about STIs, being in a committed, monogamous relationship. And a lot of people don't really like the whole condom thing, and will avoid when it becomes safe to do so.

Some of those relationships are probably marriages, where both would like to avoid having a kid/having more kids. Both husband and wife are being responsible to what they want and the children they can provide for.

Sure, some of the ladies who be on the pill are probably not in committed, monogamous relationships. Maybe a few of them throw caution to the wind every night. Or something. But, you know, if pregnancy is on the line, they're still engaging le sexy times with a dude. A dude who probably as into getting someone pregnant as his ladyfriend is.

Am I getting my point across? All these "X, Y, Z vs. ladies rights" conversations keep kind of saying that it's only the ladies having sex without the babiez. All by themselves. When, um, hello. Hi there. Birds and bees calling.

Yes, the women are the ones who have to take a pill as a very consistent method of engaging le sexy times without le bébéz. Men don't have that option (yet). But that doesn't mean these aren't men's issues. If you want to be having sex without procreation, this is how you do that – men and women. Both of us. Together. Doing this deed. Together. Does it matter who is swallowing (ahem) the pill?

Announcing the 2012 Golden Globe Nominations!

Well, folks, we're finally getting into the heavy hitters of award season, as the 2012 Golden Globe nominees were announced this morning. As expected, award season darlings The Artist and The Descendants led the way with five nods apiece, but there are plenty of surprises here, too. George Clooney is going to have a big night, as his The Ides of March scored four nods, including one for him as a director. Ryan Gosling managed to score two nods for acting, for Crazy, Stupid, Love as well as Ides.

In the TV categories, new shows ruled as nods for New Girl, Game of Thrones, Boss, Episodes, Enlightened, and Homeland made the list - and that's not all. Zooey Deschanel scored a best actress nod, as did Mireille Enos for her work on The Killing and Laura Dern for Enlightened.

Patrick Dempsey Avoids the Mall and Spends Black Friday at the Beach

Patrick Dempsey packed up the car and headed to the beach in Malibu on Friday. He was joined by his wife, Jillian, and their twin boys, Darby and Sullivan, on the sunny day. Patrick spent the holiday with his loved ones, and recently dined with fellow cycling enthusiasts at the NorCal High School Mountain Bike League's annual Cyclefest fundraising dinner. That wasn't the actor's only cameo appearance this month. Patrick also popped by the LA Auto Show for the unveiling of Mazda's 2013 CX-5. He's a long-time Mazda supporter, having checked out the Mazda Formula 1 vehicle earlier this year during a racing event at Le Mans.

Patrick Dempsey Takes a Spin Around the Track Before Heading to the Moon

Patrick Dempsey got behind the wheel of Mazda's Formula 1 car yesterday for a race at Le Mans. It's been a busy week for Patrick, who helped present his pal and Sweet Home Alabama costar Reese Witherspoon with the MTV Movie Awards' generation award on Sunday. While Patrick is abroad, there are rumors back home that he won't return to Grey's Anatomy next season. Patrick's rep cleared up the confusion, which resulted from a quote he gave to Vogue Italia, by saying "[Patrick] was referring to the fact that his contract is up at the end of next season, and we have no idea what the future holds." His small-screen career may be in limbo, but soon enough we'll see more of Patrick in Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon when it opens on June 29.

At this point in my (very) late thirties, I don’t necessarily relish the anniversary of my birth, but I do confess to loving a beautifully wrapped, satisfying gem of a gift. My dearest friends certainly delivered last week, cushioning the cruel blow of thirty-nine.

As I opened one particularly thoughtful gift - a pair of fine cotton, drawstring pajama pants and a lovely-scented travel candle from two gal pals who know how much time I spend in hotels - I thought of what makes the perfect gift: an indulgence that you are thrilled to receive but probably wouldn’t buy for yourself.

Here are five specific gifting tips:

Buy in advance - or at least take notes. How many times have we found the perfect card months before our cousin’s birthday? Or heard our best friend muse in a department store that she really “needs” to spice up her underwear drawer? Seize these moments and either buy in advance, allocating a drawer or shelf in your home for the collection, or record the idea in a “gift” notebook. An extreme example: I recently bought a darling Sweet Sixteen card for my Goddaughter who is only seven - but I know I will be grateful to have it in 2020!
Gifts aren’t just for birthdays. I have two friends who always gift me upon the publication of my novels. An engraved bookmark, a bouquet of fresh flowers, or a sweet token that coordinates with my book jacket art, e.g. a tiny bootie for Baby Proof with a 2006 penny inside (the year that book was released). I cherish these gifts and love the generous spirit in which they are given. So go ahead and celebrate your friend’s new home, job, or car (or help ease the blow of a bad break-up). She will never forget the gesture.
Try to avoid the generic candle or bath product and choose something that reflects your friend’s personal style. Having a gift monogrammed or personalized will show you thought of her way in advance of her day. And if you simply can’t resist the candle-bath product route - be sure to pick the perfect scent or color.

Amy and Darren Follow Up Oscars Weekend With Everyday Errands

Amy Adams and her fiancé, Darren Le Gallo, grabbed lunch in Santa Monica before taking their car to a mechanic today. The couple were back to their daily routine after a busy Oscars weekend. They kicked off the festivities at a preparty on Friday night to celebrate Women in Film. On Sunday, they shared PDA on the Academy Awards red carpet and toasted the success of her The Fighter costars Christian Bale and Melissa Leo. Amy didn't take home a statuette herself, but she scored a style win with her sparkling L'Wren Scott gown.
