Angelina Jolie originated the role of the badass archaeologist, but who could take over as a younger version of the heroine? E3 Kicks Off With Xbox Announcements: Tomb Raider

At today's E3 press briefing, Microsoft kicked things off with a dramatic look at the new Tomb Raider adventure, hitting the Xbox in Fall of 2012. This installment finds a 21-year-old Lara Croft shipwrecked on a lost island and fighting for her life to escape an unknown tomb. The game looks incredibly intense and dark and left me wanting more!

Call It a Comeback Fan favorites Lara Croft and Zelda resurface this year. 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda, and naturally, Nintendo will celebrate in style. Sneak peeks on Link's latest adventures abound, while Tomb Raider fans can take an early look at Turning Point, a prequel to the Lara Croft series.

Fab Ad: Angelina Strikes a Serene Pose For Louis Vuitton

A first peek at Angelina Jolie's turn for Louis Vuitton's Core Values campaign was revealed today, featuring the actress in her own clothes, toting her own 6-year-old Vuitton Alto bag, and posing in familiar territory. The ad was shot by Annie Leibovitz in Cambodia's Siem Reap province, where Jolie shot Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2000 and first began her humanitarian activism. Jolie's ad is just one part of the design house's Core Values campaign, which will also feature Sean Connery and Bono, and run for the next 18 months. It's an understated portrait of the actress that goes way beyond the red carpet to highlight her humanitarian involvement. Do you think it's effective?

E3 Announcements: 5 Xbox Games I'm Excited About

Yesterday's Microsoft E3 press briefing gave us a look at what's to come in the next year for Xbox, and I gotta say - it's looking pretty good, folks. Though the presentation brought a ton of new titles (but very little launch dates), there were some standout games that I can't wait to see more of. Check out which ones below, then tell me your favorites in the comments!

Tomb Raider - This new look at the series takes us back to Lara Croft's origin - when she was just 21 years old, fighting her way through a mysterious island. The demo looked really intense and sometimes even a little bit frightening.
Kinect Star Wars - I perked up when I heard the Star Wars theme music playing during the presentation for this new title. I'm hoping LucasFilm does what it does best to help Kinect Star Wars take off - produce some awesome accessories to go along with it. Hello, light saber!

Brad Pitt smiled between takes on the set of Cogan's Trade in New Orleans yesterday. Most of you think that Brad is not at his absolute sexiest for this role, which predominantly features his tinted goatee, while guys around the world still consider themselves to be the actor's spitting image. The city is like home to Brad and his family, though this week he steered clear of the Mardi Gras festivities and stuck to work filming his movie. Angelina Jolie and their six kids have yet to be spotted in Louisiana, where they have a house and have spent a lot of time. Angelina has a handful of her own projects in the works, but she is apparently leaving another franchise behind. The Tomb Raider series is continuing with a prequel and they're working on casting a younger version of sexy badass Lara Croft.
