Jack's Back With the Panda for UK Premiere

Jack Black works hard for his money – whether it's being directed to get his head blown up by Ben Stiller for an MTV skit or busting out some (well-practised) kung fu moves with a man dressed in a panda suit on the red carpet – he gives it his all. So I was happy to see him being carried in to Leicester Square for last night's premiere of Kung Fu Panda – after all, the guy could do with a break! His co-star Angelina Jolie is still pregnant so she didn't make it to the red carpet, but the insanely witty Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu and Ian McShane did show up to boost their movie's star power!

Jack posed with Meg Matthews' band of kids, and Sarah Cawood and Debra Stevenson also showed up with young people of their own as an excuse for seeing this fun movie! To see lots more photos from the evening just read more

How To Lose Friends And Kung Fu Like A Panda

Day two of the Cannes Film Festival was just as entertaining as the first, again thanks to Jack Black who was joined by a comedic partner in Dustin Hoffman – who decided to play paparazzi for a minute – and Angelina Jolie playing it straight. Brad Pitt supported his baby-mama at the gala premiere of Kung Fu Panda and walked the red carpet alongside gorgeous ladies Lucy Liu, Rachel Leigh Cook, Eva Longoria and Natalie Imbruglia.

After a quick change, Natalie also showed up to the party for Simon Pegg's new movie How To Lose Friends And Alienate People where she partied with Simon, his co-star Gillian Anderson and guests including a tanned Lily Allen, Mischa Barton and Jenni Falconer. Hmm, both films look pretty enjoyable – which one are you looking forward to the most?

Angie Glows in Green With Costars & Brad at Kung Fu Panda

Fresh from looking radiant in white at the photocall and talking about her twins, Angelina Jolie got decked out in green for the Cannes premiere of Kung Fu Panda. The soon-to-be mom of six posed with Brad and hammed it up with her costars Jack Black, Lucy Liu and Dustin Hoffman on the red carpet. Eva Longoria really seems to be enjoying her time at the festival; girlfriend loves a photo op. All her older kiddies got special advance viewing from mom at home so obviously skipped the big premiere, but for today it was about the two new Jolie-Pitts coming our way.

Angelina Is Gorgeous, Giggly, Giddy, and Due August 19?!

Is there a movie festival going on? Because the only topic at Cannes so far seems to be Angelina Jolie's twins! This morning Angie looked radiant in white showing up for the Kung Fu Panda photo call with her costars, while the interview alongside Jack Black where he divulged the double big news aired on The Today Show. It would seem that Angelina's costars are hell bent on leaking all the baby news, because Dustin Hoffman spilled the beans on a supposed due date - August 19! Seems a bit late, no? In the interview Angelina gushed:

On being pregnant: “I'm very happy . . . I'm like most women, I love being pregnant.” She added that pregnancy makes “you feel like more like a woman than you've ever felt. You just feel like everything about your body is there for your baby.”
On her children's heritage: “They have a real pride in who they are,” she said. “Our daughter's very proud that she's African. And our boys are very proud that they're Asian - they know about their country . . . down to their food or their flags or their music.”
On teaching them about the world: “We keep nothing from them when we take them around the world, so they're more resilient than we are as adults." Jolie added that her curious kids “ask great questions about life. They ask questions about war that are poignant and spot-on because they’re the questions we should all be asking ourselves.”

Check out the video after the jump, but I'm not sure I've ever seen Jolie so animated (heh) talking about her family, the movies, the babies, and how popular Mr. Black is amongst the Jolie-Pitt clan. I can't help but love where she's at right now with her family lounging around happily in France awaiting those two new arrivals.

Jack Helps Cannes Kick Off Kung Fu Style!

Jack Black always has fun at photo opportunities, something that has definitely been enhanced by his hosting the KCAs year upon year. Yesterday he brought his hyperactive magic to the first photocall of the 61st Cannes Film Festival, arriving in a boat with forty giant pandas – well, people dressed in giant panda costumes – to promote his new movie Kung Fu Panda. Of course it was in the interviews following this larking about that he let slip that the rumours are true and his co-star Angelina Jolie is expecting twins. If that's not good film promotion, I don't know what is!
