Highlights From the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

The 25th ever Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards went down in LA on Saturday with Will Smith presiding as host. The first famous face to get slimed was Halle Berry, who was doused in green goo. Big honors went to 2012 butt-kicker Taylor Lautner, and Selena Gomez won favorite TV actress. Adam Sandler was crowned favorite movie actor, and Katy Perry also took home gold. First Lady Michelle Obama was on hand to present the "Big Help" award for charity endeavors to Taylor Swift. Michelle's two daughters, Sasha and Malia, were in the audience to watch. Kristen Stewart wore Stella McCartney to take the stage and accept her favorite movie actress award, while other presenters included Robert Downey Jr., Josh Hutcherson, Chris Rock, Andrew Garfield, and Emma Stone.

Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez, and More Stun on the Kids' Choice Awards Red Carpet

Last night's Kids' Choice Awards went down in LA, and things started with an eclectic display on the orange carpet. Kristen Stewart showed up in a blue Stella McCartney number, while Katy Perry was another colorful attendee in a crop top and skirt. Neutrals were a big hit. Emma Stone donned Antonio Berardi, and Heidi Klum paired a Roland Mouret dress with over-the-knee boots. A tummy-baring Dolce & Gabbana bustier and skirt were Selena Gomez's pick.

There were plenty of famous guys who turned out too. Andrew Garfield was there to keep his girlfriend and The Amazing Spider-Man costar Emma Stone company. Chris Colfer represented the Glee crowd, as Nick Cannon tried to hype up fans. Josh Hutcherson was there from The Hunger Games crew, as were many of his castmates like Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Amandla Stenberg, and Willow Shields. The real-life loves and The Amazing Spider-Man costars looked adorable making their first official red-carpet appearance together. Recently the two have been cozying up in NYC, where Andrew is starring in the Broadway production of Death of a Salesman. Emma cheered him on from the front row at his first performance, and since then she and Andrew have been spotted around Manhattan holding hands and checking out the city. They got all dressed up - she in Antonio Berardi and he in a dapper burgundy suit - for this evening's show, where they both are presenting. She was without her boyfriend, Justin Bieber, but she still had a big smile on her face as she headed into the show. Selena is nominated for both favorite TV actress and favorite female singer at this year's Kids' Choice Awards. Selena was sporting a fresh tan from her work on the set of Spring Breakers, the movie she's been shooting for the past few weeks. 2008 Kids' Choice Awards: And the Kids' Choices Are . . .

Big stars! Lots of slime! Silly good times had by all! It can only mean one thing: Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards were back yet again over the weekend, and I have to say, I'm impressed with the turnout. Big stars walked the orange carpet to promote big films, including Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf, who showed up to get the kids pumped for the return of Indiana Jones.

However, to this crowd of tweens, no one - not even Harrison - could hold a candle to the superstar bonanza that is Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Apparently the screams were off the hook (as the kids say) when those acts took the stage. Oh, and then there was the moment when Heidi Klum was hoisted into the air on a cable and, as Reuters put it, "had to pop balloons with spikes attached to the derriere of her jumpsuit." That's fierce.

As for the actual honorees, Cameron Diaz took home the Wannabe Award for being a role model and raising awareness about environmental issues, which is certainly a step up from her previous Kids' Choice Award for burping. To see who else the kids voted for, just
