Taylor Swift won the night's biggest award and Kellie Pickler took home three trophies of her own Monday night at the 2008 CMT Music Awards in Nashville.
Swift's video for "Our Song" won both Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, while Pickler won Tearjerker Video of the Year and Breakthrough of the Year for "I Wonder." Pickler also won the Performance of the Year award for her live performance of that song on the CMA Awards broadcast on ABC.

I'll admit, when Kellie Pickler was "what's a ballsy"-ing her way through season five of "American Idol," I did occasionally question her intelligence. But is she smarter than a fifth grader? I guess we'll soon find out.

This week on American Idol, we said goodbye to a person who made it pretty darn far — but who would have pulled off an upset by lasting even a week longer. I'm pretty satisfied with these Idol results, and I'm guessing a bunch of you will be, too. Ready to chat about it?

Wednesday's American Idol finally brought out the first big prize of the season: the 10 spots up for grabs on the summer tour. As I said a while back, getting to the top 12 is nice and all — but finding out you'll have a job as a working singer for at least a few months must feel like such a dream come true.
So who's not heading out to stadiums with the Idol hopefuls this year?

Sure, tonight's American Music Awards are all about the music. But they also mark the first time Jimmy Kimmel will appear on TV since the Hollywood writers' strike kicked off two weeks back. So if you like Kimmel, you'll definitely want to tune in to the show, which starts at 8 p.m.

Yikes. It was not a good night for my picks on "American Idol" — I only correctly guessed one of the four singers sent home on Thursday. Pop, on the other hand, picked three of the four and is currently kicking my butt.
