O.C. Reunion! Josh Schwartz and Rachel Bilson Together Again

Josh Schwartz is bringing Rachel Bilson back to the small screen! The producer/writer and his O.C. star are joining forces once again, this time for a new hour-long rom-com for NBC. Called Ghost Angeles, the series will center on Bilson's character, a woman living in Los Angeles who can - to quote The Sixth Sense - see dead people. Using her talents, she tries to help spirits who in turn help her.

Don't get me wrong, I'm giddy to see these two team up, but didn't we already tackle a similar story with The Ghost Whisperer? Even so, if anyone can take a tired-sounding premise and make it hip-to-the-kids, it's Schwartz. Bring on the sassy banter!

Old Friends, Gossip Girl Paris, and More Shine at CW and Showtime TCA Day

The TCA rolled on with presentations from Showtime and The CW yesterday after their star-studded party the night before. Showtime kicked off the morning with The Big C starring Laura Linney and Gabourey Sidibe. Laura spoke passionately about the show and her character, while Gabourey touched on how she still can't believe the past year of her life. The cast of Dexter brought a different tone, as Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter and company gave us hints about Dexter's season five before he sat down with us for an exclusive chat. Last up for the network was Matt LeBlanc's Episodes, in which the Friends star plays a fictional version of himself taking on a new acting gig. The trailer was full of jokes about his beloved sitcom, including a Ross and Rachel reference early on. Matt was adorable on stage talking about getting recognized as Joey daily and when asked if he was the first pick for the part, he was quick to joke, "Schimmer said no. . .so did Perry and Lisa."

We spent the afternoon with The CW checking out their two new shows, Nikita with Shane West and Maggie Q, as well as Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka's Hellcats. Then it was time for the really fun stuff, moving onto Gossip Girl in Paris! Josh Schwartz took the stage with Ed Westwick, who represented the cast as the rest stayed behind in NYC to shoot and premiere Chace's movie Twelve. Ed was charming as always, though he gave the juiciest tidbits to us at Wednesday's bash. He and Josh revealed lots of exciting news including whether or not Taylor Momsen will return and who else will be making a comeback. A Taste of Gossip Girl in Paris, Plus New Photos!

Ooh la la: another day at the TCA wrapped with a special panel on Gossip Girl, where we were treated to the first trailer from season four - on location in Paris! Ed Westwick was the lone cast member on the panel, along with creator Josh Schwartz and producer Stephanie Schwartz. I already chatted with Westwick about Chuck Bass's downfall, but today we learned what it was like to film overseas, when Jenny will make her triumphant return, and more.

First, let's talk about the new trailer. I'm sure you'll all see it in a matter of days but here's a sneak peek: we see Blair and Serena touring Paris, Serena taking off on the back of a motorcycle, and ultimately, Blair throwing Serena in a fountain. We also see Dan with a baby (not sure if it's his baby just yet) and Nate surrounded by a harem of scantily clad ladies. It all leads up to the big moment when Chuck and Blair come face to face again in the city of lights.
Josh Schwartz said the Chuck and Blair meeting will have "explosive consequences" and that the happenings in Paris will echo throughout the whole season for all of the characters.
If you were worried about Little J, rest assured she will make a return. The producers kept mum on when exactly she'll resurface but they did promise that it will be in the first half of the season.

Westwick reiterated how much he loved working with Harry Potter's Clemence Poesy, while Schwartz said that Katie Cassidy will stir the pot and raise some trouble. No surprise here if you caught Cassidy on Melrose Place.
Though Westwick said he avoided crazed fans by holing up in his hotel room watching the World Cup, filming took the kids to iconic sites including the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d'Orsay, and the Gare du Nord. Westwick joked that Leighton Meester and Blake Lively got most of the famous spots, while Chuck was stuck in the train station.
There was lots of talk of how Gossip Girl translates overseas. Over in Paris, a dubbed version of the show airs on Sunday afternoons, so it's not exactly a hit. Westwick said that he'd love to hear what he sounds like dubbed in French, and the producers added that Gossip Girl's sign-off is "Bisous Bisous."
Other things to expect next season: now that Mercy has been canceled, Michelle Trachtenberg is free to bring Georgina Sparks back - and apparently we'll be seeing more of the character "in more ways than one." Hmm.
Also, the Gossip Girl site will be getting "a face-lift with new sections" in an attempt to keep up with the fast-paced technological times.

Famous Vampires Are Fun and Fearless Together in NYC

Twilight's Kellan Lutz, Vampire Diaries's Paul Wesley and True Blood's Stephen Moyer made it quite the bloodsucker convention in NYC last night at Cosmopolitan Magazine's Fun Fearless Males bash. Elsewhere in the city, another undead star, Robert Pattinson was at the red carpet premiere of his new movie Remember Me. Gerard Butler was still sporting a tan from his February full of shirtless vacations with beautiful stars including Mexico with Jennifer Aniston. Ed Westwick helped round out the crew, looking dapper as ever as some of his Gossip Girl costars wrapped up a day of filming in Brooklyn.

Zachary Levi & Josh Schwartz Dish on Season Three of Chuck!

As most of you know by now, I can't wait for Chuck to return to NBC in January. After a dramatic second season and a near-cancellation, I'm dying to see how the writers will re-invigorate the spy show in hopes to secure a more permanent home on the network. A few days ago Zachary Levi jumped on a conference call, along with creator Josh Schwartz and writer Chris Fedak. They spilled the beans about what we can expect from season three - what's good, what's different, and what faces we can expect to see. Here are highlights:

Zachary Levi on whether or not Chuck's new abilities will change the heart of the show: For two and a half years I've kind of sat on the sidelines and watched Adam Baldwin and Yvonne Strahovski, Casey and Sarah respectively, kick bad guys' butts and was very jealous of that. Not that Chuck should have been able to do it at that point, you know, he was much better at running away or screaming like a little girl. But now that he has this new intersect and the abilities that come with that, he is able to kind of lend a hand in the kick butt-ery if you will.
But I think that, you know, Chris and Josh and our other writers have crafted that very well so it hasn't changed really the dynamic of the show or more specifically the dynamic of Chuck and who he is. You know, he’s still the somewhat bumbling hero and I think that’s what brings so much of the heart and general premise of the show and keeps that there. And so though Chuck now has these abilities they’re fleeting, they’re in and out, they’re glitchy. So it lends this new door that we walk through now just lends itself to both more action and more comedy which I think is good all the way around. And it doesn't change the heart of the show which I think, you know, some fans I know were maybe concerned like oh gosh now he’s chasing more and it’s not going to be the same show anymore.

Josh Schwartz Steps Into the Sitcom Ring

We all know and love Josh Schwartz as the mastermind behind The O.C., Gossip Girl, and Chuck, and now he's ready to take on something new. Along with fellow Chuck producer Matt Miller, Schwartz is in the process of writing a pilot for a half-hour sitcom for CBS about a just-married couple in their twenties.

Now that How I Met Your Mother is heading into what's presumably it's final seasons, this could be the perfect time for Schwartz to bring something new to CBS. I've loved all of his shows, and I'm kind of giddy about seeing his signature sarcasm play out with characters that are a bit older.

Gossip Girl Producer Sells in Los Feliz

Josh Schwartz, who's best known for producing and writing shows such as Gossip Girl, The OC, and Chuck, has sold his Los Feliz, CA, home for $2.15 million.

The beautiful 1928 home was originally listed in April for $2.4 million. Given that other celebs have been forced to lower their prices by close to half a million, this price drop doesn't seem particularly harsh, especially given the real estate market's current woes.

The house itself is absolutely lovely, with great bones and much of its original Spanish detailing. Updates like tropically landscaped outdoors areas, a koi pond, heated pool, and a grotto spa perfectly accent the charming house's Spanish-style edifice. Inside the 3,468-square-foot home, the new owner (who's the former creative director for 7 For All Mankind), can enjoy such features as vaulted ceilings, a downstairs screening room, Saltillo tile floors, five bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, and numerous fireplaces. I also love that this home's library has a sliding bookshelf that opens to the wine cellar. Overall, this is one of the more charming celebrity homes I've seen in a good while.
