Film Trifecta: Al Pacino Eyes Role With De Niro, Scorsese

Hollywood is bringing together its acting dream team (and no, I'm not talking about The Expendables). Al Pacino is reportedly circling a film with fellow heavyweights Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese; Scorsese regular Joe Pesci may also join the project. Titled The Irishman, the script follows the story of hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran as told in the book I Heard You Paint Houses. So yes, it's a mobster drama - what else would you expect from these four?

What do you get when you mix two Oscar winners and a brothel? Meet Love Ranch, a 1970's-set drama directed by Mirren's husband, Taylor Hackford. Maybe it's the era-appropriate prostitutes, Reno setting, or boxer-subplot, but there's something very Scorsese-esque about the whole thing. It looks heavy and colorful, and like some possible award-bait for Pesci.

Tobey, Jennifer, and Happily Single Mischa Hit the Arcade

Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer were out last night to support and pose for photos with designer Alexis Mabille at the opening of Arcade boutique in LA. Mischa Barton showed up in a colorful Herve Leger but was rolling solo - and loving it. When asked about being single since her breakup with Taylor Locke, Mischa said, "I'm not used to being single but it's really nice. It's great, actually. It's important to breathe for a minute." Mischa may have more time on her hands these days to work on her fashion line and acting career, but we'll see how long she can avoid those public makeout sessions she seems to love so much.

Elmo and De Niro in Casino?

We know that Elmo isn't the angel he pretends to be. He can be something of a psychopath, which makes perfect sense after you look at him in this audition for the Martin Scorcese mob movie Casino. His part? Conniving wackadoodle Joe "Am I a clown? Am I here to make you laugh?!" Pesci's character of course.

Variety has the news that Fox has ordered fewer scripts of Amy Sherman-Palladino's new comedy series, The Return of Jezebel James.

John Travolta Holds on Tight to Adorable Baby Benjamin and Gets a Costar in Lindsay Lohan

John Travolta's 5-month-old baby Benjamin showed off his playful tricks while out shopping with dad in LA yesterday. The father-son duo enjoyed their quality time together and the little guy clearly knows how to put a smile on dad's face. John's wife Kelly Preston brought Ben out in NYC last week for one of his first public sightings since his People magazine debut. John is also gearing up to return to making movies, since taking a break after 2010's To Paris, With Love. He'll be playing John Gotti Sr. in the upcoming Gotti: Three Generations, which, after much drama, officially also stars Lindsay Lohan as Kim Gotti. The troubled starlet spoke about costarring with John Travolta in the Gotti film, saying "I think it's a great story to be told. I'm honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci. . . . You don't get to see the heart behind the story and the real side of people. I can relate to that because I think that I've been portrayed in a certain light. I just want to do my best to show what their family really went through." Shooting starts on location in New York soon, so the Travolta family will be setting up shop on the East Coast for John to take on the iconic mob family patriarch.
