Fresh off a long day of panels, the stars of ABC and Disney kept the TCA party going last night at the Beverly Hilton. Matthew Perry cracked us up at the Q & A session, after which he mingled with Busy Philipps and his new costar Andrea Anders. Cougar Town's Josh Hopkins revealed that Jennifer Aniston will definitely be guest starring in an episode early on in season two! My Generation's Mehcad Brooks spoke at length about how much this role means to him and while he's lagged on watching, he still has lots of love for True Blood and wishes the cast the best. Joanna Garcia looked hot in her Michael Kors dress and her beautiful engagement ring completed the look - stay tuned for our exclusive interview with her! Autumn Reeser and Julie Benz were both sporting nude Brian Atwood pumps, which was Autumn's first expensive shoe purchase at her No Ordinary Family costar Julie's suggestion. The cast of Modern Family graciously accepted all the praise for their hit series as they gear up for the Emmys later this month. Grey's Anatomy Rundown: Episode 14, "Beat Your Heart Out"

read more. As I said yesterday, any episode of Grey's is better with a heavy dose of Bailey, and on that count, this one delivered. It's a rollercoaster of a story, though, starting with some good news about a possible promotion and ending with a revelation about her true calling. Bailey has a job in general surgery waiting for her if she wants it, and it would get her away from all the sick kids she's been treating recently. But the inescapable fact is, Bailey is good with those kids. She knows how to talk to them. She even finds a tool that will help a little girl with a serious heart problem live like a relatively normal child - and Bedazzles it. She tells Arizona that what happened to Tuck makes her too connected to kids' cases to deal, but Arizona awesomely sets her straight: That experience makes her uniquely qualified for the job. Meanwhile - Dr. Dixon still works at Seattle Grace; guess the board gave her that better offer she wanted. Anyway, she, Bailey, and Cristina end up working on the same case, which makes for three very interesting personalities all in one room. It's uncomfortable and a little scary to see her snap when the family hugs her, and I wonder how realistic it is - it feels a little like autism spectrum 101, like someone read a Temple Grandin book and based all of Dixon's stories on it. But, that said, it has two awesome moments: one when Bailey tells Cristina to "get over here and hug on Dr. Dixon," the other when Cristina is able to use her comforting abilities to calm Owen down after he spots a mystery woman in the hallway. Oh, and then there's that other matter: Derek wants to propose! Which remains a secret for about 37 seconds, because he tells Mark, and Mark can't keep his trap shut, and then his patient (Jennifer Westfeldt! I like her) spots the ring box in his pocket. Meredith of course thinks that Derek's weird behavior is because she insinuated that she wants children, when obviously her children will have Alzheimer's and suicidal tendencies and split ends; little does she know that he's plotting a candlelit proposal. And she won't know for a while, apparently, because Addison calls right as Derek is done setting up his ridiculously girly room; I'm amazed he only missed one rose petal in those hasty cleanup efforts. Some other thoughts:

Izzie's storyline is a) blissfully light and b) actually encouraging, as she seems to be taking some steps to figuring out what's wrong with her. Making the interns run tests on her actually strikes me as a very House-ian thing to do.
Related to that, George bugged me. Wasn't he the first to think something might be wrong with Izzie? I would have expected him to be concerned rather than berate her for using expensive medical equipment against protocol.
Callie and Arizona, hooking up in the Joe's Bar bathroom! Huh. I guess ABC wasn't lying when they said Callie would get to explore her sexuality . . .
Lexie's turning Mark into a good man!
Cristina's reaction to Ellis's affair with the Chief is surprisingly subdued. I thought she'd be all over that gossip!
I actually burst out laughing at the Chief's "bend over backwards" line.

So, the proposal's delayed, Addison's on her way, and Izzie's probably either anemic or dying of whatever terrible disease Sadie thinks the other woman has. Guess we'll see what happens next week. Your thoughts? Photos copyright 2009 ABC, Inc.

TV Tonight: Grey's Anatomy

You know, ghost sex or no ghost sex, I'm honestly excited to see tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy. It's like the more train-wreck-y the show gets, the more pumped I get to tune in. I'm sure the novelty will wear off (hopefully not before Shonda Rhimes returns to her senses and gets the show back on track), but for now, I kind of can't wait to see what happens.

But weird Denny scenes aren't the only thing tonight's episode has in store for us. It also means the introductions of two new characters: Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw), a pediatric surgeon, and William (Eric Stoltz), a death row inmate who comes to Seattle Grace for treatment and causes different reactions in Derek, Meredith, and Cristina. And it sounds like there's going to be some follow-up to that Lexie/Mark "teach me" moment, too.

Meet the Three New Grey's Anatomy Docs

Kevin McKidd's Dr. Owen Hunt (that's "McArmy" to me) made his return to Grey's Anatomy in the most recent episode, but he's far from the only new doctor we'll be seeing around Seattle Grace this year. read more. Sadie Played by Melissa George of Alias, Sadie makes her first appearance in the Nov. 13 episode of Grey's. She's an old friend of Meredith's and a new intern in Seattle who ruffles some feathers among Mere's resident friends. She's bisexual, and she's a character who likes to walk on the wild side. (Update: For the latest on that part of Sadie's story, check out this post.) She also has some big secret with Meredith. Huh, think they killed a guy? She'll be around for at least four episodes.
Dr. Virginia Dixon Mary McDonnell of Battlestar Galactica steps in starting Nov. 13 as a cardiac surgeon who comes in to help fill the hole left by Preston Burke. (I thought that was Erica Hahn's job?) She's incredibly skilled in the OR, but socially, it's another story: She has Asperger's syndrome, which makes interacting with people a challenge. I'm curious to see how Grey's handles this character and issue; so far, McDonnell says there's no romance in Virginia's future, but that may depend on how long she sticks around. She's signed on for three episodes for now.
Dr. Arizona Robbins What a name, huh? Starting later this season, Jessica Capshaw (of The L Word and The Practice) will join the Seattle Grace team as a pediatrician who "winds up butting heads with Dr. Bailey" when she's called to consult on a case. She's also signed on for three episodes, though the LA Times reports that could turn into more.

Jessica Alba is hoping to move off the red carpet and into your home. The actress and mother of two - Honor, 3, and Haven, 5 months - may be known best for showing off her impeccable figure in Fantastic Four and Little Fockers, but she's equally passionate about keeping toxins out of schools, homes, and work spaces.

This week, after stunning on the Golden Globes red carpet, Jessica launched The Honest Company, a subscription-based, eco-friendly, and toxic-free baby-products and household-items company. Working with Christopher Gavigan, the former CEO of Healthy Child, Healthy World and husband of Grey's Anatomy's Jessica Capshaw, the company's products include designer biodegradable diapers, all-natural wipes, shampoo, baby lotion, laundry detergent, sunscreen, and more.
