Things I learned this week: everyone loves a good Jeremy Piven joke.
For this week's Caption It challenge, I chose a picture from The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard. There are a lot of good submissions, but here's what the finalists have to say:
- Piven: "You mean to tell me I'm not nominated for an Emmy this year?"
- "If you stop crying I will throw in a CD player for free!"
- "It's okay baby, Jon & Kate will be back together soon."
- "Stop crying, we drew straws fair and square.

Ari Gold and the gang won't be leaving our TV screens anytime soon: HBO has just renewed Entourage for a sixth season. The episodes should start filming next year and air in Summer 2009.
Entourage has done a lot of skewering of Hollywood in these past few years, and it doesn't seem like it's ready to wind down anytime soon — at least according to Jeremy Piven, who said after winning his third Emmy that he could see the show going on.

I'm still feeling the afterglow today from my time in the Emmy press room, where so many happy stars came to talk about their big awards. There are a bunch of tidbits I didn't get to share with you live, so to see what Bryan Cranston, Paul Giamatti, and Laura Linney had to say, read on!
- Bryan Cranston was maybe the happiest guy on Earth when he came back to the press room, clutching his Emmy in one hand and the envelope with his name on it in the other.

Jeremy Piven just stopped by the press room to talk about the Emmy he won for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Entourage. This was Piven's third win in the category, and he said this one was "more shocking than the first two."
"I do believe the show is getting better," Piven said.

The title of this movie doesn't have an exclamation point at the end — I added that to the headline on account of my extreme enthusiasm for the RocknRolla trailer! As a huge fan of Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, I am positively giddy to see a trailer for another movie in that same vein. Plus, the cast rocks.

If you subscribe to any Conde Nast magazines, chances are you came across a copy — or, as was the case with me, numerous copies — of the Fashion Rocks supplement, a magazine published annually by the company where pretty outfits and music collide. Tonight, the clothes and the performers come together again at 9 p.m. for a CBS TV special celebrating New York Fashion Week.

And somehow, this seems fitting.
In the first deal between Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's company Gary Sanchez Productions and Paramount Vantage, Jeremy Piven will play a used-car liquidator in a "high-concept comedy" titled The Goods: The Don Ready Story.
More details.
