The big moment we've all been waiting for is just about here: Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly will finally be married in an hour-long special episode of The Office tonight!

NBC (and the entertainment world in general) has gone all-out for the event, including an EW cover, video teasers, talk show appearances, even their own wedding site.

I can't wait to finally see Pam and Jim tie the knot, but you'd almost think we were being prepped for the series finale given all the promotion. What do you think - are you more excited than ever or is there too much buildup to Jim and Pam's big day?

Jim and Pam's Wedding on The Office - Video Sneak Peek!

I've been all aflutter (really, there's no better word for it) about Pam and Jim's wedding pretty much since Casino Night on The Office, and the big day is almost here! We already know that Niagara Falls may be involved, we've checked out their wedding website and even gushed over their adorable EW cover, but wait - there's more!

The cast is just as excited as we are to see Jim and Pam walk down the aisle next week, and we've got some behind-the-scenes interviews with John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer, plus a few clips from next week's episode! It's going to be one to remember for sure, so check out the sweet video after the jump.

The Office Season Premiere Is Something to Gossip About

Tomorrow is Sept. 1, which means Summer is officially over as far as I'm concerned. Time to move on to bigger and better things - like Fall TV! Back at the TCA, I was lucky enough to explore the set of The Office and chat with the cast about the upcoming season, which starts on Sept. 17. We already heard about Pam and Jim's wedding - not to be confused with John Krasinski's real-life engagement to Emily Blunt - but here are a few fun tidbits about what else we can expect in season six:

Jenna Fischer on trying on Pam's wedding dress: "It really is very neat. Trying on the dresses for Pam was emotional and really felt significant. It feels like she's a person I've been rooting for for so long and to see her finally getting her dream come true is neat."
Producer Paul Liberstein on what we can expect from Michael: "We're trying to get him a little wackier. We'll see. I enjoy the wacky Michael."
Liberstein on keeping the show in the actual office: "We're staying in the office a lot more than we did last season. I think there's a kind of a feeling that people enjoy in-the-office stories more when all of the characters are together, interactions between the characters. And so that's - but after 100 episodes, it's hard. But we're trying harder to do it. Some episodes are out."

If the quotes aren't enough for you, NBC has also rolled out two new promo videos to get us fired up. In the season premiere, "Gossip," the cast starts speculating on Pam's secret pregnancy, which of course turns into all kinds of hilarious, yet absurd, rumors about the other co-workers. There are also some cute behind-the-scenes interviews with the actors talking about their on-screen counterparts.

The Office Rundown: Episode 28, "Company Picnic"

Aw, you guys, for a comedy, this season finale of The Office is pretty darn sweet! Jim and Pam traditionally have big moments in Office finales, but there's another love story at play here when Holly Flax - and boyfriend AJ - meet up with Michael at the company picnic. There's also volleyball and "soup snakes." Want to see some of my favorite moments? Just read more.

Eeep! Pam's pregnant! I mean, we didn't actually hear the words - isn't it funny that Jim and Pam's biggest moments this season have been silent? - but her smiley reaction totally gives it away. I love the bug-eyed look on Jim's face, and then the joy as he swoops in for a hug.
Backing up: Pam and Jim only plan to stay at the Dunder Mifflin company picnic for a few minutes because they don't seem to have much luck at big office gatherings. Some drunk guy hit on Pam last year and said he was grabbing her for balance. Pam: "You don't grab these for balance." I love the mischievous look on Jim's face.
Dwight shows up at the picnic with his friend Rolf, who's the perfect companion for him. Dwight says they met at a shoe store: "I heard him asking for a shoe that could increase his speed and not leave any tracks."
Aw, the moment when Michael first sees Holly is so adorably awkward. He and Holly hug a little too long, then he pretends not to remember AJ, then when AJ asks for an iced tea he semi-jokingly tells him to go to hell. All episode long, he manages to just barely tolerate AJ: "So, what is up with you two, Holly?"

Michael's planning on finding the perfect moment to read through his list of bullet points for why he and Holly should be together, which includes the fact that they're "soup snakes." Which is apparently supposed to be "soul mates."
Charles is still so mean to Jim! And he only has one joke, about Jim being sleepy. Pam asks if she should beat him up. Jim: "No, I shouldn't have to ask you to do something like that. You should just do it."
Nobody from the Scranton branch is any good at volleyball except for Pam, who's kind of a superstar. Kevin keeps getting hit in the stomach, Ryan's on the phone, but Pam has this killer serve. "Maybe I played a little in junior high. And high school. And a little in college. And went to volleyball camp most Summers." She gets them all the way to the final faceoff against corporate.
Rolf is so mean to Angela, calling her a whore and saying he doesn't hear "cheaters, tramps, or women who break my friend's heart." Eventually, though, Dwight tells him to cut it out - does that mean they're going to reconcile soon?
When AJ tells Michael he and Holly are designing a house, Michael reveals he's designing chair-pants. I love that Holly's heard this idea before!
So Michael and Holly go through a bunch of movie parodies for their skit (Jaws: "Dunder . . . Dunder . . .") before finally settling on Slumdunder Mifflinaire. It's actually going relatively well - no laughs, but hey, Stanley's into it - until they accidentally reveal that the Buffalo branch is closing.
Which, by the way, is completely David Wallace's fault. Why on earth would David Wallace tell Michael any secret company information? He should know better.
Holly and Michael's moment after the skit is so sweet! And it's awfully big of him to just enjoy her company without telling her how he feels about her. "I think that today was just about having today. I think that we are one of those couples with a long story when people ask how we found each other."
One of the funniest moments in that scene, though, was this exchange:

Michael: I guess we shouldn't have mentioned Buffalo."
Holly: "Hindsight."
Michael: "Should have had hindsight."
And, in the end, all of Dwight's stalling tactics on the volleyball court ("How many people need to get hurt before we learn a valuable lesson? One? Two? Three?") are for naught, because there appears to be a Beesly baby on the way!

Wow, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this finale!

The Office Rundown: Episode 11, "Moroccan Christmas"

Merry Moroccan Christmas, Office fans! I really think this week's episode is totally old-school Office goodness, which is a great way to end the 2008 episodes. Plenty of superuncomfortable, cringe-worthy moments mixed with hilarious things and Jam cuteness and - perhaps my favorite part of all - another Jim prank for Dwight!

Yay! Jim prank! He gift wraps what looks like Dwight's "desk," which Dwight thinks he can unwrap in five minutes because he can "skin a mule deer in less than 10 minutes."
This is Phyllis's first Christmas party as head of the Party Planning Committee, and her theme is Nights in Morocco. "This isn't your grandmother's Christmas party. Unless, of course, she's from Morocco, in which case it's very accurate."
Phyllis allows Angela to keep on her desk the camel, sheep, elephant, and the North African king of the Three Kings from her nativity scene, but she sweeps the rest of it into the top drawer. Phyllis doesn't think that lording the power of knowing about Angela's secret affair is blackmail. "I think for it to be blackmail, it would have to be a formal letter."
The most popular gift for kids this year is the Princess Unicorn doll (yes, she has a website!) - half-girl, half-unicorn. Dwight has bought all of them from nearby stores so that as Christmas approaches he can sell the dolls for a profit to desperate ("lazy") parents.
He calls the doll "genetically improbable," and of course tries to figure out the science behind how a unicorn princess could even exist. "How does that happen? A king has sex with a unicorn? A man has sex with a royal horse?"
Jim: "Yes."
Michael has created a drink called a One of Everything: equal parts scotch, absinthe, rum, gin, vermouth, triple sec, and two packets of Splenda. He has also mixed vodka with orange juice to make a orangevodjuiceka.
A man pays Dwight $200 for a Princess Unicorn doll! "Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-ka-ching."
Michael says to Kelly that this is what every day would be like if she never left India.
After she gets seriously drunk, Meridith's hair catches on fire, which leads Michael to hold an intervention for her - and an intervention = a surprise party for people who have addictions. "And you get in their face and scream at them and you make them feel really badly about themselves. And then they stop."

Also, we now know that Michael celebrates Groundhog Day privately.
In one monologue, Andy claims his nicknames were "Puke" (because he used to get "wicked hammered" so much), "Ace" (because he never let the drinking get in the way of acing all his courses), and "Buzz" (because he got straight Bs).
Dwight doesn't believe in interventions. "In the Schrute family we believe in a five-fingered intervention: Awareness, education, control, acceptance, and punching."
Meredith: "I don't mind telling you that I have an addiction. I do . . . to porn."
Michael asks what is going to happen when someday Meredith comes into work, and she is dead.
Dwight: "I stab her in the brain with a wooden stick." (This is apparently the most satisfying way to kill a zombie.)
Toby wants to get his kid the unicorn princess. "My ex-wife's gonna be so pissed. And for once Daddy's gonna be a hero." So when Darryl has bought the last doll from Dwight, Toby agrees to pay Darryl $400 for it. He then discovers that the doll is African-American.
Not gonna lie, watching Michael trying to get a screaming Meredith into rehab seriously stressed me out! It turns out Michael can't commit her to rehab against her will, so he has to find ways to push Meredith to hit rock bottom so that she'll then check herself into rehab. He thinks he can do this because he did it with Jan.
OMG - Phyllis announces to the room that Angela has been having sex with Dwight! Total awkwardness ensues, followed by a blithely unaware Andy walking in and saying that for the rest of their lives, he will always be there to bring Angela some Christmas cheer. Nobody says anything to him about the announcement.
Awwww, Andy: "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!" And that . . . is the sound of my heart breaking just a little bit.

The Office Rundown: Episode 10, "The Surplus"

At Dunder-Mifflin this week, Michael finds out that their branch has a surplus (I love Oscar's patient surplus explanation using the lemonade stand analogy) of $4,300 that they must use by the end of the day or it will be deducted from next year's budget. The staff is then divided on how to use the money: new chairs, or a new copier? Elsewhere, Dwight, Andy and Angela are butting heads while planning Andy and Angela's wedding at Schrute Farms.

So, this episode of The Office isn't totally chock-full of laughs, but I liked that the entire office is engaged in doing something together. To check out some of my favorite parts and to share your own, read more.

Pam's hair is so pretty! She is just looking better and better every episode.
With the surplus money, Toby wants to have the air quality in the office tested. There's the radon coming from below, the asbestos in the ceiling - "These are silent killers." Of course, Michael's immediate response: "You are the silent killer." (To which Toby mutters, "You'll see.")
Jim wants a new copier instead of new chairs, openly disagreeing with Pam. This earns him some admiration from Meredith and Creed. Jim's little shiver after Pam doesn't-threaten him about the chair-copier issue is pretty adorable.
During the wedding discussions, Andy, Angela and Dwight hit a wall on the topic of bathrooms. Andy wants to "three-way this little issue." They head off to Schrute Farms together.
At the farm, "manure covers up the smell of the slaughter house." This leads to my favorite exchange in the episode:
Angela: "Do you have to slaughter on our wedding day?"
Dwight: "You want to eat, don't you?"
Andy: "Dwight, if we pay extra, can you slaughter the entrees the day before?"
Oscar and Jim suck up to Michael by going out to lunch with him ("Best lunch ever!"). Pam, determined to get the chairs ("I mean, seriously, how is it possible that in five years, I've had two engagement rings and only one chair?") retaliates by flattering Michael's fashion sense and excellent TJ Maxx finds.
I actually really like this situation in which everyone has to be nice to Michael!
At the farm, Dwight has put together what appears to be a mock wedding ceremony. He has Andy pretend to be Angela's father and walk her down the aisle to where Dwight is standing, pretending to be Andy. Dwight has solicited the help of Konrad, a man who has been raised in a closed society just minutes from the farm, and who speaks only German as a result. As Dwight walks Angela and Andy through what "will" happen at their ceremony (even producing a twine ring to put on Angela's finger), Konrad keeps up a continuous stream of German.
Dwight: "And that's about it. Man and wife."
Of course, Konrad was really marrying them, and Dwight tricked Andy into signing the marriage license as a witness for Dwight and Angela. When Angela gets upset, Dwight yells, "It's not my fault you don't understand German! I've been telling you to take it for years!"
Michael leaves the chairs/copier decision up to the security man, Hank. But then he tells him to leave when Hank takes too long with his decision.

Best part : Angela marching over to Andy, sitting on his lap and kissing him, right in Dwight's face.
Andy: "Was that hot or what?"
Turns out Michael can return the surplus and take a 15% bonus, which he'd like to do because if you go into Burlington Coat Factory with $645, "you are literally a king." Ha!
Michael tells the staff that they should appreciate what they have. "You think kids in Africa have chairs? No. They sit on big piles of trash. You think they have copiers? They don't have copiers! They don't even have paper."
Uh-oh. Now Jim will ask Pam to make his copies. . . eeeek.

The Office Rundown: Episode Nine, "Frame Toby"

You guys, Toby's back! I'm so happy! He's one of my all-time favorite supporting characters on The Office (who's yours?). Michael is none too pleased with this "sudden reappearance" and he tries to get Toby fired. Meanwhile, Jim has a pretty big surprise in store for Pam.

I love Michael's immediate reaction to seeing Toby again. Toby: "Hi, Mic-"
Michael: "NOOO! GOD! NO! PLEASE, GOD, NO!"
Ha! Michael texts "911" to people so they'll call him back. Hilarious and sad.
Oh, man, Jim's house is painfully familiar-looking ("Why would you wanna buy ugly wood from trees when you can have paneling?"). Right down to the creepy clown picture.
Andy: "Whoa, you haven't told the missus about the castle? You're in for a spanking my friend." He then says there are no secrets between him and his "lady," while Angela looks away.
Creed says that he lives down by the quarry, too. "We should hang out by the quarry and throw things down there."
Meredith: "'Sincerely, Disappointed.' Get off your high horse, richie."
Michael, before he tries to be nice to Toby: "You want to see some really high-caliber acting? Well, Mr. Kurt Russell you are about to be served." After his attempt, he says it's like trying to be friends to "an evil snail," and that he feels like he's dying inside. He equates himself to Neve Campbell's character in Scream 2, when the killer comes back and starts killing off all her friends. "Learned a lot of lessons from that movie. This is just one of them."
Dwight: "I love catching people in the act. That's why I always whip open doors."
Michael: "Me too."
Dwight thinks he's "the bait" for Toby to sexually harass someone, especially in his "mustard shirt."
Dwight: "Men find me desirable."
Michael: "Yes. Sure they do, Dwight."
Michael tells Pam to go over to Toby with a note that says, "Please hug and kiss me no matter how hard I struggle, I'm too shy to tell you that I love you."
Dwight suggests they frame Toby for using drugs. "Yeah, it's illegal. But everything they do on The Shield is illegal." He then says he framed a raccoon for opening a Christmas present, and a bear for eating out of the garbage (of course, begging the question why Dwight was eating out of the garbage).
Now one of my all time favorite Office lines: Michael says framing Toby seems awfully mean. "But sometimes the ends justify the mean."

Is Ryan one of the biggest d-bags on TV? I think so. As he tries to claim that he can't clean the microwave ("Pam, I am hopeless at that stuff!"), Pam asks him, "You've seen things clean before, though, right?" I love that she doesn't take his crap.
When the cops follow Dwight back to the annex, Creed stands up as if to put his hands up. "Just pretend we're talking until the cops leave."
Turns out the "marijuana" that Michael paid $500 for is a baggie of caprese salad.
Dwight, to the cops: "You have laws that protect you in any kind of interrogation, why don't you use them?"
Michael, after the failed framing: "Welcome back, jerky jerk face."
Ryan says he's going on a trip to Thailand with some friends from high school - "Well, a high school."
Oh, wow, if I had a husband and if he ever bought any house without asking me, it would not end well (also, any Brothers and Sisters fans in the house? This surprise-house-buying story was also in that episode!). Pam, however, is thrilled. "You bought me a house!"
Dwight's description of his perfect crime is. . . priceless.

The Office Rundown: Episode Eight, "Business Trip"

This episode of The Office should just be called The Andy Show - he gets all the best lines and does a hilarious job delivering them. And I love the teaming up of Andy and Oscar. So unlikely, and thus, so very funny. The two of them accompany Michael on an "international" business trip to Canada (where they meet "Concierge Marie," played by Reno 911!'s Wendi McLendon-Covey!). Meanwhile, back at the office, Jim's excitement over Pam's return to Scranton ends abruptly when he learns some news.

Michael has Meredith pretend that she is from Abu Dhabi. "I am ashamed at your naked face, I must cover it with my jacket." He throws his jacket on her head. "You are now sexy in your culture."
Jim explains, "Pam comes back from New York next week and everyone here has just been so excited for me. And involved. And intrusive. And weird." Case in point: Kevin smacks Jim's butt!
Andy tells Angela he'll be good while in Canada, "Meaning I will try to get other dudes laid."
Ryan says he'll move into Kelly's area once Pam gets back. "This looks like where I'll probably do my push-ups every day." Kelly swears "that door is closed" and then makes out with Ryan on her desk.
Yay for guest star Wendi McLendon-Covey ("Concierge Marie")! She is one of my favorite funny ladies.
Michael: "A concierge is the Winnipeg equivalent of a geisha. This is a woman who has been trained in the fine art of fanciness and pleasure. And when you meet one, it is intoxicating. Just what the doctor ordered."
Pam tells Jim that she failed a class and has to stay in New York for another 12 weeks! Also: Seeing Pam cry makes me want to cry.
I'm just amazed by all the great moments Andy has this episode! To name a few:
"Come on it's Dandy Dale and Foppy McGee over there."
"Mademoiselle! Beer me dos Long Island iced teas, por favor. Bad decision in a glass."
"A guy needs intercourse!"
"You will thank me when they spank thee."
"You know, it's true what they say: Long Island iced teas are way stronger in Canada."
The pairing up of Oscar and Andy in a bar is genius. Oscar wonders what Andy could possibly see in Angela, to which Andy replies,"I see through a hard exterior to a little jelly in the middle. She is teaching me to be a better person. She's working really hard on that. And she has the softest skin I've ever seen, and I can't wait to have sex with her."

Oscar's drunk! And totally silly! Oscar tells Andy to call Angela and ask what is wrong with her, and when Angela picks up he blurts out "Why won't you do Andy?" before dissolving into giggles.
Andy: "That's Oscar and he wants to know why you won't do me and I think it's a valid question."
Angela: "Are you drunk?"
Andy: "This is Andy Bernard. . . I want to take you to sex school!"
Then we hear Dwight whisper, "Who is that, Monkey?"
Dwight says he's not surprised that Pam failed a class at art school, and insults Pam's painting of the office building, saying the shadows are coming from two different directions. "What? Are there two suns? Uh, last I checked that's not an office in the Andromeda galaxy!"
When Oscar thanks him for trying to hook him up. "You kidding me? It's what I do. You get the whole nine 'nards.'"
Ryan tells Kelly she needs to break up with Darryl, and he even typed out a breakup text message for her to send Darryl. They press Send together. Darryl responds saying it's cool. Kelly is thrilled but Ryan is totally deflated now that the danger of Darryl being angry and jealous is gone.
Andy says Angela is "so pissed" that she's taking them back to first base, which means Andy gets to kiss her forehead.
Oscar and Andy have bonded. Andy offers a chest bump and a "bro hug" before Oscar shakes his hand.
Andy: "I had to go all the way to Canada to get to know a guy who sits 20 feet away from me. And he's delightful!"
Wow, Michael tells David Wallace (right to his face, "over the phone") that sending Holly away was a sucky thing to do before hanging up on him. Then Michael claims that David Wallace shows a lot of respect for him when he doesn't fire him.
Pam comes back! Her little speech at the end is so sweet.

Buzz In: Who's Your Ideal SNL Host?

Saturday Night Live head writer Seth Meyers recently said his biggest regret about the election-season episodes of SNL was that he didn't get Joe Biden to come on the show. And the more I think about it, the more it really is a shame. Politics aside, Biden's just quippy enough that he could be a fantastic host!

Naturally, that got me thinking about other people I'd love to see host SNL some day. Jenna Fischer comes to mind, as she's got great comedic timing and I'd love to see her star rise further. And those Brooke Shields commercials have reminded me just how funny she can be, so I'd love for her to get a turn on the SNL stage. What about you?
