Seann William Scott Slams Bodies in the Goon Trailer

Goon may be a hockey movie, but from the looks of the trailer, it's more about the violence than the goals that take place on the ice. Seann William Scott stars as Doug Glatt, a hockey player whose job isn't to score, but to make as many of the opposing teams' players bleed as possible. Liev Schreiber also stars - with a hilarious-looking handlebar mustache - as Glatt's menacing rival, Ross Rhea.

This is definitely a movie for the guys, complete with beer, violence, and a love interest (Alison Pill), who is only interested in sports and sex. It's a little more testosterone than I think I can handle, but see what you think when you

Jay Baruchel to Be Robert Pattinson's Conscience in Cosmopolis

Robert Pattinson is about to get a new conscience in the form of Jay Baruchel. The actor has been cast in Cosmopolis as the shy founder of the company that Pattinson's character, a financial genius, works for. Baruchel's character functions as a guide for Pattinson's, who spends an eventful day traveling across Manhattan in a limo. Baruchel is the latest star to join the cast of David Cronenberg's drama, along with a recently cast love interest for Pattinson.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice: Magically Awakens the Kid Inside

Disney's latest film, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, has prompted many questions, particularly the one about its inspiration: how would a brief, albeit legendary scene supply enough fodder for an entire feature film? It's a valid concern, and to be honest, the fleshed-out story from the Mickey Mouse/broom sequence in Fantasia is a silly one, but one that kids will be thrilled by.

Ages-old magician Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) has traveled through time to do two things: prevent the world's destruction at the hands of his nemesis Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina) and find the young man who's been chosen as his replacement. The young man is Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a nerdy college student who has a love for physics and his childhood crush, Becky (Teresa Palmer). Once Balthazar finds Dave, the movie explodes into an adventure of breathtaking visual effects.

To see why I enjoyed the movie, just

For an older audience (read: 12 and up), the story's not exactly going to keep you on the edge of your seat, but what everyone will be able to appreciate is the casting of Cage and Baruchel. Cage's involvement in and of itself was an initial curiosity: why, at this point in his career, is he doing a kids' fantasy? But after seeing the movie, you understand why: He's having fun.
Deliberately hammy and over the top, Cage is the comedy center of the movie. There are discernible moments when he gets a bit out of hand, but Baruchel is a perfectly endearing straight man to Cage's antics. Indeed, the younger actor plays off his onscreen mentor with impressive ability - this is Nicolas Cage, after all.

In fact, Cage and Baruchel seem to be having such a good time in costumes and chase scenes that half the fun is imagining them goofing around in front of a green screen. If you can let go in a similar way, you'll have the same kind of fun in the theater.

We've already seen this cast of characters appear in the first Adidas Star Wars Originals promotional video, but this time, Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, Daft Punk, and newcomer Jay Baruchel are re-creating the well-known cantina scene from Star Wars. It seems as if the crew is heading in to watch the World Cup, but before the action can get started, there's a scuffle at the bar. You know what comes next. My favorite line comes from Snoop Dogg (naturally) who exclaims "I don't like you either, fool!" to a fellow bar patron before busting out his lightsaber! Check out the video for a few laughs below.

In the new movie She's Out of My League, underdog Kirk (Jay Baruchel) manages to catch the eye of über-hot Molly (Alice Eve). While this may be a great premise for a flick, how does dating an "average" guy play out in real life? I would argue that there are benefits to being in a relationship with someone more unassuming and less chiseled than the McDreamy or Don Draper type. Here are five reasons why you shouldn't shy away from the average Joe.

He knows his strengths: Guys who recognize that their looks are less than perfect know what they are and aren't good at. Great-looking guys may think that everything they touch turns to gold, when often that isn't the case. Exhibit A: Dr. Drew Baird on 30 Rock.
He's not an attention whore: He isn't used to nonstop attention, so in group situations he allows you to shine and isn't always trying to steal the spotlight.
It's all about you: He's a great listener and is OK with spending a mellow night in instead of flaunting his ability to get in to all the trendy spots.
You don't have to stare down the competition: Out and about you're not dealing with other women checking him out or, worse, flirting with him in front of you. Who cares if you're sometimes mistaken for his sister and/or platonic friend?
He's well rounded: Since he can't float by on his smashing good looks, chances are, he's better cultivated his humorous personality, guitar-playing skills, or art history knowledge.
