Fire Things Up With Pantone's 2012 Color of the Year

The color experts and trend forecasters at Pantone have just named Tangerine Tango the 2012 color of the year. "Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy," the institute's Leatrice Eiseman said in a statement. We saw the vivid hue all over the runways at Spring 2012 Fashion Week, with shows such as Jason Wu (lipstick), Chris Benz (lipstick), Milly (nails), and Joy Cioci (lipstick and blush, pictured above) featuring the reddish-orange shade.

Why is this color so versatile? It can look fresh practically anywhere on the face, including the cheeks and eyes. It also makes blue and green eyes pop and gives brown eyes an amber tone. Look forward to the release of a Pantone-branded makeup line in March - featuring the red-hot color, naturally.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield met up inside last night's American Museum of Natural History gala in NYC. She posed for pictures solo on the red carpet in an orange gown and Tabitha Simmons heels while her Amazing Spider-Man costar and beau decided to go straight inside the event. They partied alongside a long list of Big Apple-based funny people, including SNL's Seth Meyers, Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, and Kristen Wiig. Emma has gotten familiar with the show's cast this week, since she's hosting tomorrow's episode! Tina Fey left baby Penelope at home for an adults-only evening out at the annual bash with her husband, Jeff Richmond, while Jimmy Fallon made the rounds with wife, Nancy Juvonen.

Emma was solo out on the town Monday for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards, which came just days after her big 24th birthday. Emma and Andrew have gone to great lengths to keep their relationship under wraps over the past few months. They're rarely photographed together, but have been seen on a few cute date nights and wearing coordinating Teen Wolf Halloween costumes in recent weeks.

How to Pick the Best Spring Lip Color For Your Skin Tone

Looking for a new lip color but don't know which shade is right for you? Jason Ascher is the beauty guru at Barneys New York, so he knows a thing or two about selecting the right products. He recommends letting your skin tone be your guide to spotting the most flattering colors. Here, he dispenses advice for choosing hues.

If you have pale skin:
Show some courage! Ascher recommends wearing "a bright pink, as long as you wear it with confidence and own the look." Go for the bold with Nars Semi-Matte Lipstick in Schiap ($24) or Hourglass Femme Rouge Crème Lipstick in Fever ($30).

If you have medium or olive skin:
"Look for a juicy orange lip color, and keep the remainder of your look quite neutral," Ascher says. A satiny shade like Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick in Le Orange ($30), or Clé de Peau Beauté Lip Gloss in N7 ($48) would be a tangerine dream.

If you have darker skin:
Ascher suggests trying brown-based pinks. Get the perfect amount of pink with Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Tulle ($22), or Armani Beauty Rouge d'Armani Lipstick in Pink 512 ($30).

Jenny McCarthy left little to the imagination in her very revealing orange bikini on the beach in Miami today. Equally eye-catching is her handsome male companion, new boyfriend Jason Toohey. Jenny has been traveling the country on her book tour for Love, Lust & Faking It including a stop on Oprah, where she revealed the reasons behind her split with Jim Carrey. She's now moving on with Jason while Jim was spotted getting cozy at a party with a pretty brunette. This particular two-piece was one she wore during a romantic, PDA-filled day with Jim almost two years ago, and it's still a favorite of Jenny's as she enjoys the Florida sun.
