The Beastie Boys are looking to mix things up for their vocal version of the all-instrumental already released album The Mix-Up, and are hoping to tap some outside voices to join them, reports Billboard.
According to Adam "MCA" Yauch, the Boys are "talking to some different artists who might do kinda like remixes and put vocals on it, so it wouldn't be us doing vocals on it. It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it."

I finally got my hands on Jarvis Cocker's very excellent solo CD, Jarvis, after listening to the addictive single "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time" many, many, many times. But after hearing the Pulp frontman's recent interview on NPR's "Fresh Air," I love him even more.
I always suspected that the scribe behind "Common People" (off of my favorite Pulp album, Different Class) was a pretty smart guy.

Ever since I first saw the brilliantly funny video for Jarvis Cocker's "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time," I've been anxiously awaiting the U.S. release his album, Jarvis. (I mean, I love ya and all, Jarvis, but I'm not paying $26 for a CD import in this day and age.)
The former Pulp frontman's solo debut finally came out yesterday, and I'm positively giddy that we can stream the full album online.

Air's music has always been a bit too sleepy for me, but I appreciate that the French electronica outfit is giving itself an injection of sass, courtesy of Jarvis Cocker. The Pulp frontman handles vocals on the track "One Hell of a Party," which will appear on Air's next album, Pocket Symphony, coming out in March. The sentiments will be perfect for anyone still recovering from your New Year's bash.

If you're a fan of the Brit-pop band Pulp, you probably already understand the cheeky wit and oddly sexy allure of Jarvis Cocker. But if you don't, check out this video for "Don't Let Him Waste Your Time," a track off his new solo album, Jarvis. The video, which has Cocker playing a very distracted cabbie, is hilarious, even if you aren't familiar with his music.
