Holiday Season Comes Early With the Arthur Christmas Trailer

We may still be a few weeks off from Halloween, but Sony is already getting us in the Christmas spirit with the trailer for the CGI animated film Arthur Christmas. The kid-friendly movie takes a look at the complicated, family-run operation in Santa's workshop, which exists with the help of his super-organized eldest son Steve (Hugh Laurie), and his bumbling youngest son Arthur (James McAvoy). Jim Broadbent, who voices the role of Santa, and Bill Nighy, who voices the grandfather, round out a cast of big-name British talent, which means the film offers one endearing English accent after another and Britishisms that include Granddaddy Claus cutely complaining about never being able to remember the "ruddy" names of the reindeer.

With his blind faith in the Christmas spirit and Santa, Arthur reminds me of an animated version of Buddy the Elf, which comes as a welcome contrast to some of the other films hitting theaters during the holidays. With movies like The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo billing itself as the "feel bad movie" of the holiday, my inner cheeseball is happy there's still a cutesy Christmas movie hitting the theater. Award season continues tonight with the Screen Actors Guild Awards! The show is the last of the year to recognize TV as well as film, after the People's Choice Awards and the Golden Globes passed out their small screen honors earlier this month. This may be our last chance to see some of our favorite actors on the red carpet and stage, such as best actor nominees Jon Hamm, Michael C. Hall, Hugh Laurie, and Alec Baldwin. Hopefully we also get a glimpse of John Krasinski and Cory Monteith, whose respective shows The Office and Glee are up for best ensemble cast. No matter who wins, we're happy to enjoy the eye candy that awaits, so tell us - which TV guy are you most excited to see tonight?

The Cast of Glee, Bones, and House Get Foxy at the Winter TCAs!

The Winter TCA is underway outside LA, and last night was Fox's turn to show off their talent and upcoming shows. The Golden Globe nominated cast of Glee attended last night's party, and Cory Monteith took a moment to chat with Buzz about his new Funny or Die video and working with Gwyneth Paltrow. Bones duo Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz dropped in on the party, as did Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein from the medical drama House. Cory's costars Chris Colfer and Matthew Morrison were back together this morning to join Conan O'Brien and How I Met Your Mother's Jason Segel and Neil Patrick Harris for the Funny Men in TV panel. When asked about Glee airing right after this year's Super Bowl, Chris jokingly replied, "What's the Super Bowl?" For more details from the conference, make sure to stay tuned to Buzz!

Jimmy Fallon sang and danced as host of the Emmys in LA last night, and the fun kept coming for him and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, as they moved on to the Governor's Ball with other winners, nominees, and presenters. Mad Men's Jon Hamm raised a glass to his show nabbing its third consecutive best outstanding drama series award - do you agree with its win? New mom Amy Poehler stuck close to Tina Fey, while Kevin Bacon couldn't take his eyes off his lovely wife and best actress in a drama honoree, Kyra Sedgwick. Lost's Michael Emerson chatted with costars Daniel Dae Kim and Henry Ian Cusick, as The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev chatted with best supporting actor in a drama Aaron Paul. He totally won Buzz over with his cute press room excitement right after hitting the stage.

January Jones, meanwhile, cuddled up to her special date, Jason Sudeikis, in her show-stopping Versace gown along with Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston. The Glee kids, like Mark Salling, Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, and Chris Colfer, celebrated Ryan Murphy and Jane Lynch's wins all together. It's time to bust out the big guns! After going through several rounds of supporting actor picks, I asked you for your predictions for the Emmy for lead actor in a drama. You quickly came to the defense of both Kyle Chandler for Friday Night Lights, and House's Hugh Laurie, but all of the contenders received at least a few votes. Who will be the last man standing? Who Should Win the Emmy For Best Lead Actor, Drama?

As we continue to break down this year's Emmy nominees, it's time to take a step up from supporting actors and actresses and take a closer look at the leads. The race for best lead actor in a drama is a pack of heavy hitters to say the least; four of these guys have been nominated in their roles before!

Let's start with the newcomers: Matthew Fox scored his first nod for the final season of Lost, while Kyle Chandler's name appears for the first time after being overlooked in past years for Friday Night Lights. This marks Hugh Laurie's fifth nomination for House and Bryan Cranston's third for Breaking Bad (Cranston is also undefeated thus far!). Michael C. Hall and Jon Hamm also have three nods apiece for Dexter and Mad Men, respectively.

The competition is so fierce even I'm having trouble figuring out who deserves the trophy. That's why I need you all to weigh in and help me decide: state your case for the man that deserves the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a drama series!

Josh and Diane Join the Glee Cast, Keri Russell For Fox Bash!

The stars of Fox TV present and future stepped out in NYC last night to celebrate the Upfronts announcement of their Fall schedule. Fringe's Joshua Jackson brought always-stylish Diane Kruger to the party, just the latest stop in their loved-up world tour featuring their popular PDA. Keri Russell is another welcome face in the crowd to celebrate her new sitcom Running Wilde alongside Will Arnett. Bones duo David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel stuck together as his relationship with his wife makes headlines. Lea Michele continued her reign of the red carpet in a short, colorful number after the Glee creator Ryan Murphy denied rumors that she's difficult or a diva on set. He also said that they are talking to Britney Spears about tapping into her musical archive! Dianna Agron looked adorable in red before the whole cast hits the road when their tour kicks off in LA on Thursday. Tonight's Joss Whedon directed episode features Neil Patrick Harris which may convert even more fans into full-fledged Gleeks.

Leighton Meester Has More to Gossip About

Move over, Chuck Bass - there's a new man in Leighton Meester's life. Well, on the big screen anyway. Meester is set to star opposite Hugh Laurie in the upcoming indie comedy The Oranges. The film focuses on the relationship between a man and his daughter's best friend, which naturally causes turmoil in both of their lives. Presumably, Leighton will be playing the friend and Laurie will be her older suitor, with Catherine Keener also set to star.

The pervy dad shacking up with Lolita-type isn't exactly a groundbreaking idea (American Beauty immediately comes to mind), but the comedy genre is what's getting me here. Can you see Meester and Laurie having chemistry and comedic timing?
