Are You Happy About Barney's Bride on How I Met Your Mother?

How I Met Your Mother's season seven finale brings us one step closer to finding out who the mother is, but the more important coupling highlighted on the episode has nothing to do with Ted. We finally see whom Barney marries - and it's Robin! The season has been building up to this big reveal, tossing us a few red herrings, like his relationship with Quinn, to whom he proposed in the finale. The next season is supposed to show how we get from there to a wedding day with Robin, but all I can say for now is: who cares! Barney and Robin end up together! As unabashedly psyched as I am, I want to know if everyone else feels the same way. Are you happy that Robin is Barney's bride, or were you hoping for a different outcome?

How I Met Your Mother Sneak Peek: Check Out Lily's Birth and Barney as a Groom

I've been looking forward to Barney's wedding on the season finale of How I Met Your Mother so much that I nearly forgot about the other big upcoming event: Lily's birth! Yes, Lily and Marshall will welcome their son over the hour-long finale on May 14, and we have the photos to prove it. It looks like there will be a few bumps in the road from the pictures, which show that Marshall isn't there when Lily first goes into labor, but Ted and Robin are. As for the big reveal of who Barney is marrying, we still don't know from these pics, but we do get a nice glimpse of the groom in his tux.

Alyson Hannigan Talks Baby #2, Mastering Toilet Training, and More

Last week, we were lucky enough to catch up with Alyson Hannigan, star of How I Met Your Mother and mom to almost 3-year-old Satyana, with another little one on the way. In the process of potty training her own daughter, Alyson has partnered with Huggies Pull-Ups to encourage other moms to take on her fun approach to toilet training.

LilSugar: Congratulations on your second pregnancy. When are you due, and do you know what you're having?
Alyson Hannigan: We do! I'm due this Summer. But we're keeping [the baby's gender] under wraps for now. That is, unless Satyana decides to spill the news - we'll have to wait and see if that happens.

LS: Satyana must be excited to be a big sister. How are you preparing her for the new arrival?
AS: She's such a little girl now. She's very excited! We've been trying to include her in some of the decision-making, like decorating the baby's nursery. We ask for her input when we're picking things out.

LS: And your character Lily on How I Met Your Mother is expecting a baby, too. That's nice that you don't have to hide your pregnancy for the show.
AS: Yes, Lily's actually further along than I am!

LS: What's the process of toilet training been like with Satyana?
AS: I was really intimidated going into it. But because we made it fun, she's really been fantastic. We're still in the process . . . we haven't tried an overnight yet.

LS: Any tips that other moms could benefit from?
AS: Ask your child if they have to go every 20 minutes. Teach them the Potty Dance - make it fun. And if you live in a warm climate, let them run around without their clothes on. My daughter loves to be naked anyway, and this just made it easier. That, and lots of encouragement.

Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan Talk About the Future of How I Met Your Mother

CBS focused on its current shows during the Winter TCA, bringing out comedy How I Met Your Mother, which is currently in its seventh season. Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan were the only actors present today, but they had plenty to say, along with series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. They talked about what's next for Marshall and Lily and their new little family, Robin's recent revelation, and the perennial question about when we'll meet the mother.

Though no one gave us anything concrete about the mother, Bays insisted, "we know what the end game of the series is." Segel piped up to say that he was "so relieved when I found out there was an actual plan," and then joked about it, implying that it might be the apocalypse before we find out: "We have to see if the Mayans are right! It might be Dec. 21, 2012."
Bays and Thomas answered the question of whether Marshall and Lily are really moving permanently to their suburban home by saying that we're all about to find out. Thomas said that we're "going to see them deal with that" in the next few episodes.
Fans weren't the only ones irritated with the show faking us out with Robin's kids. Hannigan recounted, "You should have seen us at the table read. I was like, season pass delete!" But she said she was angry because she cared so much.
On the show's evolution, Thomas mentioned that they couldn't have done storylines like Marshall losing his dad in season one or two. For his part on that arc, Segel said that "it was a real honor" to be given the chance to play out Marshall's grief, and echoed that "it's a real honor when people ask the best of you."

Ted's sticking with his standard hanging Chad costume, while Barney goes shirtless (and seems to stir up trouble) and Robin goes for a hockey player getup instead of a sexier outfit. Check 'em out!

We were pretty excited for Katie Holmes's guest spot on How I Met Your Mother as the "slutty pumpkin" - aka Naomi, a love interest of Ted's - and now there are pictures to go along with the mental image! See Holmes in her Halloween costume (which doesn't look all that slutty to me, save for the open holes and low-cut top inside) from the year Ted met her, but lost touch soon after. Would You Rather See Robin With Barney or Ted on How I Met Your Mother?

Even though we put the possibility of Robin being the mother of How I Met Your Mother to bed a long time when she was dubbed "Aunt Robin," this week's episode revisited the idea. When Ted runs into his old girlfriend Victoria, she questions how cool the post-dating friendship between him and Robin and Barney actually is. Then Ted confirms that things can't stay the way they are, implying that something is about to change for the three of them.

It wouldn't be a surprise if Robin and Barney got back together, since it's been suggested that Barney will have to choose between her and Nora, but Ted's conclusion is so vague that it makes me think there's still a chance for him and Robin. It could also mean that Robin and Ted will stop hanging out as much because Ted can't move on with an ex in his life, as Victoria said, but I'm much more interested in the romantic options. If Robin is going to get back together with Barney or Ted, who would you rather see her with?
