High school shows always face a challenge with their young characters, and its name is graduation. Many make the leap to college, but not every show survives the jump. Gossip Girl is currently wrestling with the transition - and so far, the storylines haven't been able to keep up with those of their high school days. Since it's hardly the first time a show has continued on to the university, let's take a look back at those before Gossip Girl - and whether they did or didn't make the grade.

It's a pretty entertaining episode, what with the characters decked out in their '20s Halloween finest for Chuck's new club Gimlet (which we sneaked a peek at last week) - not to mention seeing a clip from a vampire franchise that felt very familiar. I've already asked you guys about your favorite new fall dramas and comedies, but what about the regular shows that you're used to watching? Are you disappointed with any of the new seasons?

You know I love Gossip Girl, but it hasn't exactly been a smooth transition from high school to college for the Upper East Siders. I've also been a bit underwhelmed by Grey's Anatomy, which hasn't lived up to my expectations after an amazing season finale. What about you? What's Your Take on Gossip Girl's Upcoming Threesome?

I'm just gonna come out and say it: I think Gossip Girl has been missing the mark so far in season three. A lot of shows struggle with the post-high-school transition, and GG is having trouble placing many of its characters in a college environment (hello, Blair Waldorf).

That's not to say the writers aren't trying everything - this week Hilary Duff and Tyra Banks made appearances, and apparently Lady Gaga will also make a cameo later this season. The juiciest spoiler of all is that we can expect to see a threesome on the Nov. 9 episode - though the participants are still a mystery.

So what do you think of this news? Is a threesome story outrageous? Totally dated? Clearly a desperate ratings ploy? And what are your predictions for the parties involved?
