Maybe it's the massive success of shows like Gossip Girl and The O.C.. Maybe it's because Juno was so endearing and filmmakers are desperate to make "the next Juno." Maybe it is, as I mused in my review of the documentary American Teen, simply that people are often interested in stories about teenagers because everyone can relate to the experience of going through adolescence.

Political scandals! Early relationship gaffes on late night shows! This week's Gossip Girl had some less typical subject matter, but not every week can have a threesome, you know?

This week's Gossip Girl is all about public relations: good, bad, free, and the kind that costs you your relationships. It's a pretty entertaining episode, what with the characters decked out in their '20s Halloween finest for Chuck's new club Gimlet (which we sneaked a peek at last week) — not to mention seeing a clip from a vampire franchise that felt very familiar. Is this week's episode as good as last week's?

From Tyra to Tory to Hilary, it was a guest star collage in this week's Gossip Girl. It made for a less scandalous episode than last week, but it was, for lack of a better word, fun. I've recapped my favorite moments here, so check them out, and let me know what you thought of this week's episode.

Are we back on the horse now? After a couple of OK episodes of Gossip Girl, this week's "The Lost Boy" really felt like the show I know and love. Everyone's playing everyone else, everyone's lying to everyone else, mysteries solve and then re-form .

This week's CW drama block may have its share of cool guest stars like N.E.R.D. and Samantha Ronson, but, on the whole, it's a total mess. On the one hand, you've got the unstable girls of 90210 having emotional breakdowns at the drop of a hat; on the other, the Melrose Place residents are busy sneaking around to cover up their crimes.
