How Long Will the Harry Potter Brand Last?

Now that the final movie is out, Warner Brothers will have a tough time figuring out how to further monetize its Harry Potter empire, which currently includes paraphernalia, video games, and a theme park in Orlando. The franchise has been quite profitable for the firm so far, and the company has earned $1 billion in profits.

In an attempt to lengthen the life of these lucrative wizarding businesses, the firm is planning on rolling out theme parks around the world and possible more online ventures and video games.

It's kind of hard to imagine that the interest and fervor will die down, seeing as how Harry Potter has been such a phenomenon and the story has wormed its way into the hearts of millions. What do you think - how long will the Harry Potter brand last after the final movie?

Apparently, BuzzSugar readers love Clive Owen. He's neck and neck with Leonardo DiCaprio for the Hottest Actor Oscar, and he filled the Humphrey Bogart role in our Casablanca recast.

Apparently, we're not the only ones to draw a comparison between Bogie and the British hottie. Zap2It is reporting that Owen has been tapped by Universal to star in a new film franchise as Philip Marlowe, the detective in Raymond Chandler's novels. The Bourne Legacy Teaser: Jeremy Renner Takes Over For Matt Damon

Matt Damon may have exited the Bourne franchise, but his successor, Jeremy Renner, is primed and ready to go. In this brief teaser for The Bourne Legacy, we meet his character, Aaron Cross, an operative being prepped for Treadstone, the CIA program that turned Bourne into an elite government assassin. We shouldn't be surprised that there are more agents like Bourne, apparently, because as Edward Norton's character intones, "Jason Bourne was the tip of the iceberg."

As we see Cross being groomed, and then using his jaw-dropping skills in the field, I let go of my wistfulness for Damon, because Renner's new incarnation is such a badass. Plus, the fact that there are mainstays from the Bourne series here, like director Tony Gilroy and supporting cast members Joan Allen and David Strathairn, gives the new film some consistency, even if Damon isn't there. Though he'll always be the original, I can't wait to see what Renner brings to the table, because from the looks of the trailer, he's the right choice to play Damon's successor. The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer: Andrew Garfield Flies, Fights, Romances Emma Stone

The full-length trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man is finally here, and it answers a lot of the questions we were wondering about when the teaser came out last Summer. While we get a long, satisfactory look at the adorable Andrew Garfield as Spidey, in and out of the suit, we also have more insight into Rhys Ifans's villain character, The Lizard. The initial teaser focuses on how Peter Parker transforms into Spider-Man, but this preview shows us what happens after he gets his powers (lots of agile crime-fighting and confounding the police).

There's also plenty of blond Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy, and her cozy scenes with Parker are adorable (and a little jealousy-inducing). Garfield is as winning as I hoped he'd be, whether he's being cheeky about using his abilities to climb Gwen's building ("your doorman's intimidating") or trying to do the right thing as a vigilante. With his charm and what seems like an exciting setup, I have faith that this new installment can live up to the earlier franchise. Jennifer Lawrence showed off her basketball skills during a game of one-on-one with her boyfriend, and former X-Men: First Class costar Nicholas Hoult, in LA earlier this month. We can also see Jennifer gracing this year's Vanity Fair Hollywood issue with fellow up-and-coming actresses Jessica Chastain, Rooney Mara, and Elizabeth Olsen.

In an interview with the magazine, Jennifer revealed that her superstar crush growing up was Justin Timberlake, who's actually celebrating his 31st birthday today. She also spoke about who she'd like to work with next, like Tommy Lee Jones, Jack Nicholson, and Renée Zellweger. Jeremy Renner Brings the Bourne Action Overseas With Edward Norton

Jeremy Renner reported to the set of The Bourne Legacy in the Philippines yesterday. He was joined by bodyguards and costar Edward Norton for a day of shooting at the Navotas Fish Port in Manila. Jeremy is taking over the lead role from Matt Damon, who starred in the first three films in the franchise. He won't be playing Matt's Jason Bourne, though, since he's being introduced as a new character named Aaron Cross. Jeremy's packing in a lot of action on the big screen lately after the 2011 release of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and he'll keep it up when The Avengers hits theaters in May followed by The Bourne Legacy this August.
