TV Tonight: SYTYCD Special and Glee Pilot on Fox
There's not quite new stuff on Fox just yet, but it's still going to be a fun night on the network. At 8 p.m., we'll get to see "The 15 Best Performances Ever" in the history of So You Think You Can Dance. Hosted by Nigel Lythgoe, the special will take a look at all five seasons of the show and spotlight the 15 best performances.
Fox's Live Tweets on Glee: Annoying or Awesome?
Did you miss Fox's pilot preview of new Fall series Glee a few months ago? You can still watch it before the show's real premiere, but there's going to be an extra feature when Fox re-airs the pilot episode this Friday night: according to a press release, cast members will be live-tweeting the episode and the Twitter feed will appear over the lower-third of viewers' TV screens during the broadcast. Another Fox show, Fringe, will also get the "tweet-peat" treatment when the network shows last season's second-to-last episode this Thursday.
Fox Plans a Heathers TV Series
This news kinda gives me the urge to purge. Fox is reportedly updating the 1989 dark comedy Heathers — for the small screen. The folks at Lakeshore Entertainment, which holds the rights to the movie, had played with the idea of doing a film remake, but "doing it for TV seemed like a fresh and original idea."
