Next month, HBO takes us to New Orleans for its newest series, Treme. The drama gives us a new look at the disastrous effects of Hurricane Katrina, three months after the hurricane swept through the Big Easy and changed it forever. The series will be told through the eyes of NOLA's musicians, so it's only fitting that the trailer boasts a jazz tune instead of dialogue.

First there was Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the Seth Grahame-Smith novel that's currently being adapted into a film starring Natalie Portman. Then there was Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, penned by Ben H. Winters, but no word of a movie version just yet.

When the release date of Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island was pushed back, I started to panic a little. Postponing a much-anticipated film is usually not a good sign, particularly since the delay took Shutter Island out of the Oscar running. I entered the theater with managed expectations, and left feeling thoroughly satisfied.

You've heard all the cliches before: that Valentine's Day is more about commercialism than love, that it was created by Hallmark and Hershey's, and so on. With that in mind, I can't say I was surprised to see that Hollywood finally decided to capitalize on the holiday hubbub with a romantic comedy that's brimming with stars — but unfortunately the film provides even more proof for the argument that the holiday is for suckers.
Valentine's Day has star power at every turn, chronicling the lives of a slew of people as they navigate through the "most romantic day of the year."

What just happened?! After a return from its Winter hiatus and a semi-promising holiday episode, I half-expected for The Office to resurrect itself from its Fall slump (the term "jumping the shark" comes to mind), and pull off a zinger of an episode. What we got was a mash-up of favorite Office scenes held together by a paper-thin plot.

With FlashForward on hiatus, ABC is taking the opportunity to premiere dramedy The Deep End tonight. The series centers around a group of fresh-out-of-school lawyers as they adapt to their new LA firm. I got a sneak peek of the show at the TCAs, and I'm ready to dive right in (ba-dum-dum).

Warning: NSFW. I repeat, NSFW. The international trailer for the upcoming thriller Chloe is making the rounds, and it is scan-da-lous (what else do you expect when the preview's French?).

C.D. Payne's novel series Youth in Revolt has garnered many fans since the first book was published in 1993 and this week the film adaptation hits theaters. Michael Cera stars as the antihero Nick Twisp, who creates a bolder identity to get his dream girl: worldly but small-town dwelling Sheeni, played by Portia Doubleday.
