Steve Martin and Diane Keaton May Reunite for Comedy

There are some cinematic couplings that are so full of cuteness that I get giddy at the thought of them reuniting. Steve Martin and Diane Keaton are one such couple, having totally endeared themselves to me in Father of the Bride (I just pretend that little sequel doesn't exist).

Now, these two may couple up again for One Big Happy, a comedy by Party of Five creators Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman. Variety reports that while there aren't many details just yet, they do know that it is a "family comedy about a couple and a family reconnecting amid various obstacles."

I'm so excited by this news, and I hope costarring with Steve will get Diane back on track and help us forget some of her recent projects (ahem, Mad Money).

Based on box office returns, it looks like a lot of people love to see hard-bodied costars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson onscreen together. And, of course, there's the big upcoming reunion of Kate and Leo in this year's Revolutionary Road. I think reuniting When Harry Met Sally's stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan in a movie might be fun, too. What other movie duos would you love to see re-coupled?

The Results Are In: Recast Father of the Bride

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie and the winner gets a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

This week's special wedding-themed recast was the 1991 comedy Father of the Bride which starred Steve Martin, Diane Keaton and Kimberly Williams. The recast lists you all came up with were super fun - I especially enjoyed Livience's all-black recast featuring Bernie Mac and Beyonce Knowles.

Also, WhiplashGirlchild's "real life couple" cast is awesome, starring Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling (ignoring break up rumors).

Yet my favorite recast overall came from Pinkrabbit, whose creative list features one of my all-time favorite comedic actors in the role of Franck: David Cross. Congrats, Pinkrabbit!

Recast Father of the Bride and Win a Prize!

Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!

In honor of wedding planning mania on the Sugar Network, this week's Recast challenge is the 1991 remake of the Spencer Tracey classic, Father of the Bride. This film used to leave me feeling misty-eyed, though I now admit it's a tad on the ridiculous side.

Still, Steve Martin is a fantastic dadly type as George, and Kimberly Williams ais the quintessential daddy's-little-girl. Then, of course, there's Diane Keaton doing her normal good-natured tsk-tsking and Martin Short playing the flamboyant wedding planner Franck (or "Fraaaahhhhhnck").

The Highs and Lows From Kim and Kris's Reality-TV Wedding

Kim Kardashian said, "I do" last night in front of all her fans, as part two of her wedding special aired on E!. In typical Kardashian fashion, the event was over the top, and it even looked like there were multiple brides at the altar, as all Kim's sisters were decked out in bridal white. Even so, Kim stole the show as Bruce Jenner walked her down the black and white aisle. Her custom Vera Wang gown and dripping-with-diamonds headpiece guaranteed that all eyes would be on Kim. As they exchanged vows in reality TV's version of the royal wedding, Kim, Kris, all the extended Kardashian family couldn't hold back huge smiles. Watch them become Mr. and Mrs. Kris Humphries in the clip below.

But, if the big day were a choreographed production, we saw some raw emotions from Kim on the night of the rehearsal dinner. After seeing her brother Rob all dressed up in a suit, Kim was reminded of her late father. Back at her house, Kim broke down with her stepfather Bruce, saying she would be less stressed if her father were around. Bruce reminded her that all the material details of the wedding weren't important and that her father would be proud of her, and Bruce assured her that he'd help her get through it. The wedding festivities kicked off last night with an elaborate rehearsal dinner celebrating the couple. The heiress and her fiancé, James Stunt, reportedly invited 250 guests to the lavish event, including Paris, Nicky, Kathy, and Rick Hilton. Friends and family were shuttled to Odescalchi Castle prior to the wedding while the bride-to-be and her billionaire father, Bernie, were chauffeured in a Rolls-Royce. Petra walked down the aisle wearing a custom-designed Vera Wang gown, and shortly after the one-hour ceremony guests were serenaded by Andrea Bocelli. The music continued throughout the night with performances from The Black Eyed Peas, Eric Clapton, and David Guetta.

Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars are married. Thomas and Sofia tied the knot at the Palazzo Margherita, a family-owned villa, earlier today in Bernalda, Italy. The bride wore a custom-designed lavender Azzedine Alaïa gown and was escorted down the aisle by her father, Francis Ford Coppola. Following the ceremony, guests dined on a gourmet meal and toasted the newlyweds with wine from the Coppola family vineyard. Sofia and Thomas arrived in Europe earlier this month and spent the days leading up to the wedding relaxing with their daughters, Romy and Cosima, and dining with loved ones. Congrats to the happy couple!
