E3 Announcements: 5 Xbox Games I'm Excited About

Yesterday's Microsoft E3 press briefing gave us a look at what's to come in the next year for Xbox, and I gotta say - it's looking pretty good, folks. Though the presentation brought a ton of new titles (but very little launch dates), there were some standout games that I can't wait to see more of. Check out which ones below, then tell me your favorites in the comments!

Tomb Raider - This new look at the series takes us back to Lara Croft's origin - when she was just 21 years old, fighting her way through a mysterious island. The demo looked really intense and sometimes even a little bit frightening.
Kinect Star Wars - I perked up when I heard the Star Wars theme music playing during the presentation for this new title. I'm hoping LucasFilm does what it does best to help Kinect Star Wars take off - produce some awesome accessories to go along with it. Hello, light saber!

10 Traditional & Delicious Hanukkah Foods

During this time of year, it'd be hard to overlook the prevalence of fruitcake and eggnog, but there's another important December holiday, Hanukkah, that's replete with fabled history and tradition, too.

Traditionally, dishes for this Jewish holiday are not for the faint of heart. Many of the holiday eats are deep fried in oil to symbolize the oil that miraculously lasted eight days. Cheese is incorporated in many dishes in honor of the story of Judith in the Apocrypha, and other dishes include braised meats and starchy goodies.

While food during the Hanukkah celebration is symbolic and meaningful to those who commemorate it, it's delicious to everyone else as well. Click through for some of the historical dishes of the holiday.

Rumor Mill: iPad 3 Production Starting Soon

Right on schedule, the iPad rumor mill is heating up! According to Digitimes, iPad 3 production will begin in January for a early 2012 release. Panels for the iPad 3 are similar to those on the iPad 2, and suppliers have already shipped one million screens, with two million more expected this month.

Additionally, reports say that LG and AU Electronics have delivered samples of a 7.83-inch screen for the fabled "iPad Mini," but there are no signs that this tablet will actually exist in the coming year.

DC Comics Graphic Novels Exclusive on Kindle Fire

Synergy's in the air for tech early adopters and comic fans, as DC Entertainment will release 100 of its classic graphic novels exclusively to the new Kindle Fire.

Some of DC's most popular graphic novels like Watchmen, Batman: Arkham City, and Superman: Earth One are among the titles that will make their digital debut to readers. The entire 100 title library includes all the Batman classics, along with V For Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Fables, Green Lantern, and more.

Pre-order select novels in the Kindle Store now and stay tuned for other titles to roll out soon. So, even if you're a digital convert you can maintain a committed comic book collection. Marvel fans can still look to the iPad for digital editions of their favorite reads.

Amazon Press Conference Slated For Sept. 28: New Tablet on the Way?

We just got an invite for a press conference scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28. Could this be the announcement of the new Amazon tablet?

The fabled tablet is said to come with movie streaming capabilities, along with other features like direct access to the Amazon online store, app store, and the Android OS, but it's also rumored to be super affordable with a price tag of around $250.

We won't have to wait long to find out what this tablet really is working with - the press conference begins in NYC at 10 a.m. EDT/ 7 a.m. PDT. Stay tuned for more!
