Will and Jada Peacefully Welcome the Stars to Norway

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith were on hand for a Nobel Peace Prize press conference in Oslo today. They're in the city to host a concert celebrating President Obama's award, featuring Wyclef Jean and Natasha Bedingfield, that will air in the US in early 2010. Although Will and Jada are used to commanding the attention of a crowd, he says that they're staving off stage fright by pretending that the star-studded audience is in their own living room at home. It's an impressive way to wrap up the year for Will and Jada, who have both spent a lot of their recent downtime supporting their family's various projects.

Kate Moss Lunches Stylishly During a Break From Her Fashion Work

Kate Moss paired a leather jacket and fur vest with black skinny jeans for a lunch out in London today. She's hanging out at her home base in England after a stint in Paris, where she attended parties during Couture Fashion Week. At the bash for Prada's 24 h Museum, Kate even manned the DJ booth to get a crowd that include Salma Hayek and Diane Kruger dancing. Some of Kate's picks apparently included Madonna, Donna Summer, and the British band Primal Scream. Aside from Kate's well-known love of a good dance session, she's continued being busy with work. While in France, she shot a photo spread reportedly headed for an edition of Vogue. Kate Moss wore floral cat ears with Lara Stone for a new issue of Love, and was recently launched as the face of Mango's new ad campaign.

Game On: Dance Central 2 and Kinect Sports Season 2

I don't think exergaming will ever replace running in the great outdoors, but it certainly gets people off the couch and moving - something we could all do a bit more of. My family of four has been perfecting our dance moves and working on our sports skills since last Christmas, when my hubby received a Kinect as a gift, turning his Xbox into family fun time. Updated versions of our fave games, Dance Central 2 ($50) and Kinect Sports Season 2 ($50), were just released. We've been tearing it up in the living room with these two games, and here's what we think.

Dance Central 2
The new soundtrack includes a mix of old-school tunes ("Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot and Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff") and recent hits (Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and the Usher/Pitbull tune "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love") and is highly inspirational. The graphics are improved from last year's game; even though the game is now busier visually, the graphics are not distracting but certainly add to the entertainment value. The final photo of the game is now you, the player, in the ending position, which is always good to nail for extra points. The developers have managed to create a background so you don't see the walls of your living room in the low res photos of your moves, but disco-inspired horizontal neon lines. When you do a move correctly, a tracer appears around your hands giving you positive visual feedback. It's cool!

Ah, the lure of the deal. Retailers so understand that people want a deal that an entire Groupon-inspired industry has spawned from this, and outlets even create fake markdowns on their price tags. This will require a mind of steel, but you must train yourself to ignore the base price and focus only on the offered price. Your only considerations should be: (1) Whether you really need it, and (2) whether the price fits within your budget. Even big discounts can mean big spending.

Excuse #2: But I've Been Working so Hard, I Deserve It

We all work hard (unless you're born wealthy or won the lottery, in which case, um, good for you). Donna Summer put it best when she said, "She works hard for the money." That's right. We all work hard. It's not that you shouldn't use your hard-earned money to enjoy life-you should. It's just that "working hard" shouldn't be an excuse to spend. After all, it's not like your income automatically expands proportionally to how difficult work has been lately. Your budget trumps how you feel about your work stress. Naomi, Hugh, and Isla Join Polo Hottie Nacho at the Veuve Clicquot Classic

Naomi Watts and her fellow Australians Hugh Jackman and Isla Fisher, in D&G, were among the celebrities who turned out for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on NYC's Governors Island yesterday. Nicky and Kathy Hilton were also on hand at the sporting grounds, where polo player and Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras showed off his skills on the field. Hugh sang a version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" to kick off the fourth annual match before taking his seat along the sidelines. Nacho's Black Watch team won the game, and once his work as an athlete was done, he changed into a Summer suit to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. The champagne was flowing at the Sunday soiree, and Donna Karan got the party started by teaming up with Wyclef Jean on the dance floor. Wyclef performed and lent his support to the event, which also served as a fundraiser for Donna's Hope Help & Rebuild Haiti nonprofit.

There was more than champagne flowing at last weekend's Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Governors Island in New York City. Celebs including Naomi Watts, Isla Fisher, and Nicky Hilton showed up in flowy Summer dresses and skirts for the annual polo fundraiser. The event, organized to raise money for Hope Help and Rebuild Haiti, had polo star Nacho Figueras, Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan as fashionable co-host to master-of-ceremonies Hugh Jackman. The ladies' choice of easy florals, sundresses, and hats are casual enough for a day in the sun, but classy enough to warrant a popping of champagne. Christina Hendricks Wears a One-Piece Bathing Suit While on Vacation in Italy

Christina Hendricks lounged in Italy yesterday in her one-piece bathing suit. The gorgeous star of Mad Men is abroad during a break from work back home in the States, though her young costar, Kiernan Shipka, told us production on their AMC series is expected to start again this Summer. For now, though, Christina is enjoying a getaway in Europe, and she had a copy of Jonathan Franzen's best-selling novel Freedom to keep her company while her husband Geoffrey Arend was elsewhere. Christina has been busy during the hiatus with magazine photo shoots and modeling with Vivienne Westwood. In a recent interview, she even spoke about how her curves are all real. Later she touched on her love for Geoffrey, his sweet proposal, and their plans for a family. Christina Hendricks told the Daily Mail:

On how Geoffrey proposed: "I moved to New York as a teenager when I started to model, and there was a restaurant called Il Buco, which was filled with Gothic-looking chandeliers that had weird apples and flames coming out of them. I’d been trying for years to get the owner, Donna, to sell one particular chandelier to me, but she wouldn’t. Geoffrey and I went there one New Year’s Eve and I happened to point it out to him. Then months later, I came home and every inch of our dining room was filled with flowers. Geoffrey was on one knee, so one part of my brain was registering that he was proposing, but then I looked up and saw the chandelier, so the other part of my brain was going: 'How the hell is that chandelier in our house?' He’d commissioned the artist to make Donna a replacement, so she finally relented and sold it to him. I was just crying so much when he proposed. I mean what can you say about a man like that? He’s just so old-fashioned and kind and dreamy."
On how she's the lucky one in their marriage: "I [did] a production of Stephen Sondheim’s musical Company in New York, and even though my husband got offered a very nice job at the same time, he turned it down, saying, 'I’m not missing your Broadway debut.' I mean, he’s just the best husband ever."
On having a family: "I probably need to think about that soon because I’m getting older, but I’m not letting that determine any decisions. I’m on this wonderful show with all these opportunities so it seems crazy to jump out of it. I want to really experience the career for a while, and then I’ll see what happens."

Work Out With Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has finally dropped her latest masterpiece, and Born This Way was born to inspire our workouts. The '80s-inspired opus is full of gym-ready grooves, from Eurodisco to Latin rhythms. Let's get moving!

Gaga training sessions with Harley Pasternak consist of a 25-minute routine combining strength and cardio. The trainer has attributed her killer abs to an intense regimen of crunches, but we know the pop star is a fan of core-chiseling yoga as well. With her new album freshly loaded on our iPods (the fourteen songs clock in at exactly one hour), we took her daily drill to the next level.

First, we hand-picked eight tracks (35 minutes) to keep our feet pounding the treadmill - raising your heart rate for at least a half hour will melt fat so your toned muscles emerge. Warm up with the easy-paced "Electric Chapel." Lady Gaga's monster singles - "Hair," the Madonna-esque "Born This Way," club-thumping "Judas" and Bruce Springsteen-inspired epic "Edge of Glory"- all made our list. Then we added the Debbie-Gibson-meets-Donna-Summers jam "Marry The Night," the empowering, rave-worthy "Scheibe" and "Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)," with its "run, run" lyrics.
