ABC introduced several new shows at the Winter TCA, but the network closed out the day with a hit that's wrapping up its final run: Desperate Housewives. The soap is on its last season, so creator Marc Cherry joined the cast, including Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, and Felicity Huffman, to talk about the rest of the last season. The cast and crew had a lot of funny things to say about the matter, so I've highlighted the best quotes from the panel below.

First Look: Secret Burial on Desperate Housewives Season Eight Premiere

Some crazy things have gone down on Wisteria Lane over the years - plane crashes, fake pregnancies, neighbors trying to poison one another - but the primetime soap upped the ante in the season seven finale, which saw the ladies of the lane helping Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) cover up his murder of Gabby's (Eva Longoria) abusive stepfather. In these first pictures from the eighth season, it looks like things will pick up right where they left off. There are lots of tears, as the guilty-looking gals and Carlos meet up under the cover of darkness for what looks like a secretive burial of the body. Check 'em out as we all wait for the show to return on Sept. 25.

Desperate Housewives to End After One More Season - Are You Sad?

Our time on Wisteria Lane is about to come to a close. Desperate Housewives will end next May, making the upcoming eighth season its last. Creator Marc Cherry has always continued pushing the show forward, so it's a bit of a surprise - there was a time when it truly seemed like the Housewives were destined to go on forever.

I've been impressed with how well the show has held up over the years (the most recent season finale still managed to shock me), but Desperate Housewives has had a great run and I'm ready to say goodbye. Plus, it's always a bonus when a show knows that it's on the way out, leaving plenty of room for a perfect finale. How do you feel about the news - are you sad to see the show go?
