What to get the woman who raised you? She may not be as hard to shop for as grandma or dad, but I still have a few ideas. Mine is a Dancing With the Stars fanatic, so I'm snatching up their new workout DVD. Also on the list: Valerie Bertinelli's memoir and a cute Liz Lemon tote to take to the grocery store. I'm considering a TiVo, too - that way, she doesn't have to decide between The Amazing Race and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on Sunday nights anymore. (Really, it's like Sophie's Choice.)

The next crop of celebs who are in the mood to groove has been announced, and as usual it is an interesting bunch to say the least. For the next season of Dancing With the Stars, we've got folks who have been entertaining for years, some good-looking athletes, and even a politico (Tom DeLay!). I don't know who the equivalent of The Woz is this time around, but still, this group will make me tune in for sure. Who will you be rooting for the most?

Are You Happy With the Dancing With the Stars Winner?

This season's Dancing With the Stars winner is Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson! At the age of 17, Johnson is the show's youngest competitor and she just barely beat actor Gilles Marini and his partner Cheryl Burke for the mirror ball trophy.

The competition was fierce indeed - right down to the last minute. Johnson and her partner Mark Ballas edged out Marini, "the front-runner and judges' favorite, by less than one percent of the viewers' votes."

Less than one percent! Wow. So who were you rooting for? Are you glad the mirror trophy is now in Johnson's hot little hands? Or did you want Gilles (or Melissa!) to win?

Are You Excited For This Edition of Dancing With the Stars?

Dancing With the Stars returns to ABC tonight, and while I'm not normally a huge fan of the show, I'm definitely going to be checking out the premiere. First of all, this season's cast is totally nuts, and I can't wait to see Steve Wozniak dance. Second, there's actually some intrigue, as Jewel and Nancy O'Dell are both out of the competition and rumor has it that Holly Madison and recently spurned Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft will be taking their places. Are you psyched to watch?

ABC announced the new cast of Dancing with the Stars on Sunday, and this just might be the craziest group of contestants yet. It's a group pretty heavy on musicians: Jewel (who's doing her second reality show with her husband, former rodeo star Ty Murray), Belinda Carlisle, Lil Kim, and Chuck Wicks. Among the other contestants: Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, comedian David Alan Grier, and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Intrigued? Buzz Gift Guide: Gaming Girls

Welcome back to my Buzz Gift Guide series for all the entertainment lovers in your life. This week is all about gifting your peers who are, like you, totally obsessed with pop culture. I already found gifts for the Sex and the City fanatic and t-shirt-loving chicas.

Today I've rounded up some ideas for the game-loving ladies in your life. I personally enjoy a good game of Texas Hold 'Em to pass the time with my family over the holidays, and I was excited to find this hilarious Desperate Housewives themed poker set. So many of us grew up watching A Christmas Story that it would probably be easy to gather a group around this board game based on the movie, and I already have several friends in mind for the board game based on The Office.

Besides Dan Quayle, Who Else Would Make an Entertaining DWTS Contestant?

One of the things I like most about Dancing With the Stars is that it's not quite as humiliating as certain other celebrity (or, "celebrity") competition shows. It has a big audience, for one thing, and in general, it's a light-hearted, good-humored kind of show, as opposed to being slightly sad and uncomfortable to watch.

Also, the show gets some pretty funny people to participate, and I'm always impressed with the celebs that are game for learning these dances and dressing in hilarious outfits. The latest rumored contestant from a definitively non-sequin-costumed world? Our former Vice President, Dan Quayle. He's rumored to be one of the possible next contestants, but we won't know for certain until the announcement on Good Morning America.

In the acting world, I think it would be very funny to see some dramatic actors take the DWTS stage, like Michael Emerson (a.k.a. the creeptastic Ben) from Lost, or perhaps the not totally dramatic James Spader. Some of the most interesting contestants to watch on the show have been athletes, like NFL's Man of the Year Jason Taylor and, of course, Kristi Yamaguchi. The politician angle with Quayle brings the hilarity to a whole new level. What other politicos would you like to see bumble and two-step their way through a season of DWTS?
