In My One and Only, Renee Zellweger stars as Ann Devereaux, a charming but mercurial society lady who leaves her cheating husband and takes to the road with her young sons (one of whom, it turns out, grows up to be the actor George Hamilton). The movie's tagline is "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Husbands," that seems to be an appropriate description for Ann's journey, as she meets and discards (or is discarded by) men of all stripes. Kevin Bacon, Chris Noth, Eric McCormack, and Steven Weber also star.

The networks have announced their Fall schedules, but which series will be worth watching? Throughout the Summer, as I watch the pilots, I'll be posting my first impressions. Note that a lot can change before a show actually makes it to air, so these aren't reviews, just quick thoughts on how the shows look now.

OK, OK, not actually Mr. Big, but Chris Noth will be joining Renee Zellweger in the comedy My One and Only. The story follows Anne Deveraux (Zellweger), "a glamorous dreamer who travels from city to city looking for a wealthy man to fund a new life for her and her sons. Noth plays a retired military doctor who might just fit the bill."

Well, this is some strange timing, but no need to worry about seeing the movie without him — Chris Noth is definitely signed on to play Mr. Big in the "Sex and the City" movie. Variety confirms today that Noth will be joining the four main characters played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon in the big screen adaptation of one of HBO's most sensational series. Variety goes on to note, however, "New Line hasn't released details about the exact storyline for the feature."

Since the beginning of the Fall season, Parks and Recreation has gone from shaky midseason replacement to a solid half-hour of comedy, thanks in part to a talented and hilarious cast. Two of my favorite actors from the show, Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt, who play Leslie's best friend Ann and Ann's ex-boyfriend Andy, respectively, chatted with some reporters this week about Parks and what's in store for their characters.
- Rashida on the possibility of Ann and Andy getting back together: You know, I don't think it's an impossibility.
