Jennifer Shares the Horrible Bosses Carpet With Costars and Their Leading Ladies

The cast of Horrible Bosses gathered in London this evening for their UK premiere. Jennifer Aniston was in a white Valentino couture dress and Tom Ford shoes for the occasion, after steaming up a morning photocall in a hot black leather mini. She joked around with costar Jason Sudeikis once inside the city's BFI Southbank theater, while the other leading men hit the blue carpet with their significant others. Jason Bateman stuck close to his LBD-wearing wife, Amanda Anka, while Charlie Day proudly stood next to his pregnant spouse, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, who also happens to be his It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia costar. Charlie and Mary Elizabeth, who married in 2006, will welcome their first child together in December. The dark comedy is out in England this Friday and opens in other countries across Europe throughout August.

Jennifer Aniston Hits the London Photo Call For Horrible Bosses in Black Leather!

Jennifer Aniston rocked a black leather minidress this morning for a London photo call on behalf of Horrible Bosses. She had her main men from the movie by her side, including Kevin Spacey, Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day. Jennifer and the guys recently did press for the film back home in the States, including a junket in NYC and a premiere in LA. Jason, Charlie, and Jason said Jennifer will shock fans with her raunchy role - playing against type is one of the reasons the movie did so well at the US box office. The Horrible Bosses reviews were great, too, and now fans will see if Jen can repeat her success in Europe. Jennifer has spent time between movie duties with her main man Justin Theroux. He shaved and dressed up to attend Jennifer's Walk of Fame ceremony last month, and it seems his love of leather may even have inspired her ensemble today.

Horrible Bosses: Earns Its Paycheck

Horrible Bosses highlights a common pain of the gainfully employed: working your butt off for someone you hate. Though the movie may be preying on your plight, it's a laugh-filled escape from an oppressive office. Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day star as three friends who are so unhappy at their respective workplaces that they come to an extreme conclusion: to murder their three bosses. Bateman plays Nick, a financial exec trying to move up in the corporate world, but he's roadblocked by his company's malicious CEO (Kevin Spacey). Sudeikis is content at work until his kindly boss dies, leaving the family business to his drug-addicted loser son (Colin Farrell). Lastly, Day's character Dale is the assistant to a sultry dentist (Jennifer Aniston) who sexually harasses him at all hours of the workday.

The plot may be far-fetched - would three well-adjusted guys really plot to kill their bosses? - but the premise works thanks to clever writing of John Francis Daley (of Freaks and Geeks fame) and Michael Markowitz. And really, the movie is so funny that it's easy to suspend your disbelief.

read more. The casting is just about perfect; the chemistry between the three leading men is outstanding, although Charlie Day wins MVP. Best known for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the combination of Day's energy, high voice, and mannerisms make Bateman and Sudeikis seem bland by comparison. The movie also has a lot of fun with supporting characters playing against type - very far against type. Farrell's role is most noteworthy, and not just because of his balding head; he impressed me by lobbing one-liners like a seasoned comedian. Jamie Foxx also has a memorable part as a "murder consultant," which is one of my favorite bits of the movie. It lets the actor, more prone to drama these days, go back to his goofy comedy roots. Then there's Aniston as the sexually hostile dentist, although the role is more eyebrow raising than funny. The wholesome movie star strips down to lingerie and pretty much only opens her mouth to say something filthy. It's more novelty than proof of Aniston's comedic range, but the shock value is almost worth the price of admission. One of Horrible Bosses's most pleasant surprises is the fact that it doesn't rely on lots of gross jokes. Aside from Aniston's language, the raunch factor is pretty limited. And although the premise itself is dark, it doesn't take that as an opportunity to shift into overly violent territory. Instead, the humor comes from a hilarious script and some capable actors who truly kill - at comedy, anyway.

Charlie and the Jasons were in NYC recently to chat all about their work, as well as the shocking new characters that their costars Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston tackle in the movie. Jason, who knew what he was getting into after filming with both Jen and Colin at SNL, didn't seem too surprised that Charlie was called out as the on-set prankster. Jennifer Aniston on Being "More Comfortable in My Body and My Skin" Than Ever!

Jennifer Aniston talked about straddling her costar Charlie Day at yesterday's Horrible Bosses press conference, but conversation also moved on to slightly more PG topics! She touched on the worst job she's ever had as a Big Apple bike messenger at just 19. Another of her leading men, Jason Sudeikis touched on a run-in he had with the law around the same age. Jennifer had more to share about accepting a role with such filthy language, saying she wasn't worried about affected her America's sweetheart status. They said:

Jennifer, what's the toughest job you've ever had and why did you change up your look for this role?
JA: The toughest job I've ever had was being a bike messenger in New York City. I was 19.
JS: That's hot.
JA: Not if you saw me riding a bike. My look for this? I knew I wanted her to look different. With the dark hair, I was doing a movie right before and right after, so we had this wonderful period of time that we called hair-gate because the studio did not want me to wear a wig because the studio's like, "No one will know who you are." And I'm like, "What do you mean? They'll know who I am because of my name on the credits." There's just no way I could be saying these words and playing this woman and not look that much different. It was really fun for me. I just felt such freedom.

What what your worst day as a bike messenger?
JA: Probably driving into a door that was open. I'm just very uncoordinated and extraordinarily klutzy. And I just never should have been allowed on a bicycle with cylinders.

Jennifer, did you think you were taking a big risk with this role? And if so, did you have to ask SmartWater?
JA: Yes, I consulted SmartWater (joking). [The risk] is the fun. You don't want to play it safe all the time. And I've never sort of had a script come to me that allowed me to go in this direction. So it was a great opportunity. I don't think I really cared if there was a bad reaction to it. I actually didn't think there would be. I thought it would be fun for everybody. I'd hope.

read more. Do you think that older women become more sexually confident, Jennifer? JA: Absolutely. Not at all. At the age of 60, I'm doing pretty good. No, I think I absolutely get more comfortable in my body and my skin as I get older. More than when I was in my 20s - I was so awkward and uncomfortable. And are men intimidated by older, more sexually confident women? I think men are intimidated by any woman who's sexually confident, no matter her age. Charlie, was it shocking to you to hear someone like America's sweetheart Jennifer Aniston saying such filthy things? CD: Yeah! What's good is that my natural reaction is caught there on film and goes into the movie. My job was to react shocked to the things that were coming out of her mouth. So for me, it was pretty easy and a lot of fun. How about saying dirty things? CD: I've got a filthy mouth, so it was not a problem for me. I'll talk dirty to anyone who wants to hear. Have any of you ever been part of any harebrained schemes that simply went too far? JS: Yeah, I got arrested with some friends in college for breaking into a car wash in the middle of Winter in Kansas . . . That was a harebrained scheme that didn't work out for any of us. JA: Wait, why were you breaking into a car wash? JS: It was in Ft. Scott, Kansas; we were back early for basketball before any of the rest of the people. We got there, and we got into a car that had a crowbar in there, and a friend had an idea that we were gonna go crack open the dollar machine that you get the change out of so you can put in the vacuum. We didn't get to it. There's nothing going up in Bourbon County, Kansas, and we got rolled up on . . . Now there's this new thing called crystal meth, which sounds like a hoot. That's about the extent of my criminal career. JA: I've such a criminal past. No! JS: I jaywalk on a daily basis. Jennifer, did you take this role to confront the America's sweetheart notions about yourself? JA: I didn't take the role so that I could try to rid myself of that title. There's so many different America's sweethearts . . . I just took it because I loved it and thought it would be a fun challenge and to step out of what people usually like to see me play. That's a label; you know you're branded, you're given things, and things are attached to you . . . but no, I didn't.

Jennifer Aniston Got to Know Her Horrible Bosses Costars "Between Straddling"

Jennifer Aniston looked hot in Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, and Michael Kors this morning on her way to do press for Horrible Bosses at NYC's Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston were together to visit Inside the Actors Studio last night, but today she had leading men Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, and Jason Bateman along with director Seth Gordon and screenwriter Michael Markowitz to chat about the dark comedy out on July 8. Jen joked about the less-than-ideal management and jobs from her past and confessed that she didn't really mind tackling the dirty-talking role of Julia Harris, a dentist who doesn't seem to respect the boundaries of workplace sexual harassment. Some of her funniest scenes are with Charlie, who didn't have to do much acting when it came to being shocked by Jen's character. They said:

Do you have any particularly awful bosses that stick out in your mind?
Jason Bateman: I've never had a bad one.
Jennifer Aniston: I had one that was inconsistent and a little complicated but not horrible.

Jennifer, did you have any hesitations about taking on such a filthy-talking role? And is there a shift toward gorgeous women saying dirty things?
JA: I know I had no hesitation, to answer that question. At all.
Michael Markowitz, writer: When I wrote the script - I always have actors in mind when I was writing. And Jason Bateman and [Jen] were the actors I had in mind. I never knew if it was like, rude, to tell you that I thought of you for that part.
JA: Are you kidding? It's a compliment!
MM: I broke my leg and was watching DVDs, and I watched Friends start to finish and I thought, Oh! She'd be great at this. Rachel was so much bawdier.
Jason Sudeikis: Oh! That's how I know you. You were on Friends!

Did director Seth Gordon encourage you to improvise or did you just go for it, Jen?
JA: It was on the page. So I was just doing my job. There was nothing that didn't happen that he wasn't getting so tickled and excited about. The raunchier the better. It was pretty easy. It really was.

Jen, was it fun to take on a role where a girl gets to play a stereotypically guy character? And how did you prep for the role?
JA: Well that's what I think was so fun about it - being a female who's usually a male character . . . and that's sort of what made it that much more fun. I did go to the dentist right beforehand though to see how they hold the tools. The rest was easy.

Improv to me is when the cameras start rolling and we don't know what we're doing and we're just wasting people's time and money. That's not what happened. Charlie, please tell me your raunchy photo shoot with Jen in the film wasn't photoshopped, and how do you do the best crazy eyes in the business? CD: I don't know how to answer the crazy eye thing. You know, it was an actual photo shoot. We took those photos together! We had a nice little private session and we took some photos. I've never been more embarrassed about my body in my life standing next to this woman. JA: Oh my God. CD: I've since started to see a trainer. Jen, were you one of the guys on set? JA: I wasn't with the guys really. It was just me and Charlie and Seth. We would just sort of get to know each other in between straddling. JB: We were knocking on the door. We wanted to get in there. CD: You did bite my ear pretty hard. JA: Did I really? Yeah, once I was going for it. Jennifer and and Jason, what would a night of passion look like between your character and Jason's? JA: Wait a second - this Jason? CD: Yeah, your characters think about it! JS: You beckon me in, and then our characters, we assume - maybe we did, maybe we didn't - have sex. JA: It probably happened. JS: Here's how it went down - these stick figures [pretends to draw] well assuming our sex organs are in the same place as on other people . . . well I probably just held on for dear life. Horrible Bosses Trailer: Aniston, Farrell, Spacey Hilariously Harass an All-Star Cast

Ensemble comedies are a dime a dozen in Hollywood these days, but a roundup of famous faces doesn't always guarantee a great film. That's why I'm more than pleased with this first trailer for Horrible Bosses; it brings together an unexpected assortment of talent, and the result is hilarious. The movie centers on three buddies played by Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day who decide to take down their respective bosses (Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Aniston). And by "take down" I mean kill, with the help of hit man Jamie Foxx.

The juxtaposition of these average joes with their over-the-top employers is already amazing: Spacey plays the typical arrogant corporate jerk and Farrell is practically unrecognizable as a bald bigot. Aniston is a huge highlight stepping out of her comfort zone to play a nutty, raunchy dentist who's consistently sexually harassing her assistant (Day). Going the Distance: A Romantic Comedy You Can Relate To

Ah, the long distance relationship. Whether you've been in one yourself or stood witness to those that have, you're familiar with what that term entails, and more often than not, the results ain't pretty. But can a long distance relationship be funny? Going the Distance proves it can be - at least if you're on the outside of the separated couple.

The couple in question is Garrett (Justin Long) and Erin (Drew Barrymore). Brought together by a mutual love of the arcade game Centipede, driven apart by the end of her Summer internship, Garrett and Erin decide they can't just let go after six weeks. Thus begins an experiment in 21st century long distance dating: many hours of excessive texting, phone sex, and Skype. Though the latest technology helps bridge the gap between New York and San Francisco, it's not a substitute for human interaction. Despite their strong chemistry, Garrett and Erin can't avoid the standard issues: stress, jealousy, and frustration of all kinds.

read more. For one thing, Long and Barrymore have a solid supporting cast behind them. We see the experience from both the male and female perspectives, and both sides come complete with their own peanut galleries. Garrett's sounding board is made up of his best buddies Box (Jason Sudeikis), and Dan (Charlie Day), a refreshing change from the usual dudes we've grown used to seeing. They act as the proverbial angel and devil that sit on Garrett's shoulders; Box is the supportive-yet-skeptical realist that can't help teasing his friend, while Dan is the quirky romantic. The two create a comedic balance that's both realistic and funny; Box sticks to bro-jokes without going too far into the mean zone, while Dan's sense of humor (like DJing Garrett's hookups) is offbeat but not too cringe-worthy. In Erin's ear are the whispers of her sister Corinne (Christina Applegate) and brother-in-law Phil (Jim Gaffigan). As the cautionary tale of the couple that Garrett and Erin don't want to turn into, Corinne and Phil offer up their own words of wisdom about what a long-term relationship really entails (like dry humping and a lot of patience). The pleasant surprise of the film is how screenwriter Geoff LaTulippe plays with the typical gender roles. Erin is neither the insecure clingy girlfriend nor the type-A feminist we've gotten used to seeing in romantic comedies. Instead she's an everygirl that actually feels like someone you might be friends with: down-to-earth and driven, but also not afraid to make a raunchy joke. Meanwhile, Garrett is sensitive without being a push over, and is romantic but not a sap. Going the Distance falls somewhere between the romantic comedy and buddy comedy: it's a film that spares you the eye-rolling cheesiness and gross-out humor without losing any heart or laughs.
