Jared Leto had to gain 60 odd lbs. for <a href="/5117" >his role in Chapter 27</a>, the upcoming film about John Lennon's assassination. Fortunately for all of us (for comedy at least...okay it's mostly gross), Leto agreed to have his progress and subsequent weight loss documented by Purple Magazine. It's pretty sick, and not in the cool way. </p> <p><a href ="gallery/38817" target="gallery"><span class="inline left"></span></a></p> <p>Meanwhile, you know that story from the weekend about Jared <a href="/158557" >breaking his nose</a> while running into the audience during one of his concerts? Turns out he maybe sustained the injury when <a href="http://www.nypost.com/seven/03072007/gossip/pagesix/leto_leaps__pride_falls_pagesix_.htm" target="_blank">attempting to crowd surf</a>...the problem being no one caught him and he landed face down on the ground. Ego ouch <i>and</i> face ouch.
