Bryan's wedding on New Year's Eve. 2009 means another fresh start for Britney, and she's starting the year off with her dad as
official permanent conservator. While we think having her father in control may be best for Britney's well-being, apparently the decision was made when she discovered she
couldn't insure her upcoming tour without Jamie's conservatorship.
Britney Spears was spotted on her way in and out of a dance studio in LA yesterday back from her
trip down South for Bryan's new year's wedding. Brit is starting 2009 off with a bang —
Circus went platinum last week. Even more exciting is the rumor that
Madonna may be joining Britney on stage for some stops on her tour, and this time the two blondes will be performing some hot choreography.
Britney Spears kicked off '09 with a trip to Wal-Mart and some food to go with a friend in Mississippi on Thursday. She was back in the South with her whole family
including her boys and Jamie Lynn and Maddie to celebrate her brother Bryan's
New Year's Eve wedding to Jamie Lynn's manager. Lots of you would have liked to have spent NYE
watching Britney on the dance floor, but time with family is a healthy start to her year — maybe 2009 will even bring Britney
a new romance of her own.
Tuesdays are big in entertainmentville: Not only do all the new DVD releases
hit Netflix, but new music also pours into stores, including iTunes. So I take a spin through each week's iTunes music releases and pick out some albums and tracks
worthy of a download. It's a pretty light week for new releases, but in addition to the picks below, you can also snag

soundtrack to Revolutionary Road.
Britney Spears looked cute in her striped cardigan as she made a trip to Target in LA yesterday. She didn't have her boys along for the ride, so perhaps the pop star was picking up a few last minute
holiday gifts. Britney can afford to skip the bargain shopping, though these days she's got a little less pocket cash since
her dad is getting paid even more to act as conservator.
Britney Spears was out and about this weekend, spotted in the driver's seat after a session at the dance studio. Britney's kept her record clean since her driving without a license charge was
declared a mistrial, but apparently a current candidate for LA city attorney is trying to use her situation as an example to
help him win his campaign, since his opponent was responsible for throwing out her last case. Hopefully Brit can just leave her courtroom days in the past and focus on a quiet holiday week with her boys after her
trip to Japan last week.

Britney Spears and her dad Jamie arrived back in LA this morning after a weeklong promotional trip to Japan. While we didn't see too much of Britney's trip overseas, she did share a few snapshots and video while keeping us updated with her
