Which Canceled HBO Show Will You Miss the Most?

HBO issued a small bit of good news for one of its shows today, and a big dose of bad news for three others: the cable network renewed Enlightened but canceled Hung, How to Make It in America and Bored to Death. All three series just wrapped up their most recent (and now final) seasons - Hung and Bored to Death finished out their third seasons while How to Make It in America just ended its second run. Even though Hung just earned a Golden Globe nomination for star Thomas Jane, the show and its fellow series on the chopping block all suffered from low ratings. HBO will have a slew of newbies in place soon enough, but until then, let's mourn for these dearly departed series. Tell us now: which of these canceled HBO shows will you miss most?

Isla Fisher Gets Down to Business at Coney Island

Isla Fisher was suited up on the set of HBO's Bored to Death at Coney Island yesterday. She flashed a smile to fans in between takes, despite her serious dress for her cameo character. Isla was a little more relaxed at Sunday's Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, where she hung out with fellow Australians Naomi Watts and Hugh Jackman. She and Naomi were spotted lunching together just last month in NYC when she wasn't busy strolling the streets with her daughters Olive and Elula.

Major networks are always churning out sitcoms, but sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to get to the really funny stuff. Let's face it: on cable, writers are able to get away with more indecency and dark humor (prime example: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). The Fall TV premieres continue to roll in, and tonight promises some more highly-anticipated returns of beloved shows. It's the season premiere for Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters, while cable has the premieres of Dexter, Eastbound and Down, and Bored to Death. None of those whetting your TV appetite? Get your reality check with Amazing Race or the Fox animated block of The Simpsons, Family Guy, and The Cleveland Show, which are all brand new for the season.
