Things are looking up for Sara on "CSI" after last night's premiere - but actress Jorja Fox will likely leave the show in November, TV Guide reports.

The Vampire Diaries "The Murder of One": The Good, The Bad, and The Bloody

Excuse me while I try to contain my excitement, but Klaus is back, you guys! After his glaring absence caused me to enjoy The Vampire Diaries far less than usual, my favorite villain is back this week. He's trying to unlink the spell that means death to him and all his siblings, and Stefan, Elena, Damon, and everyone else are trying to kill him (yes, still) before he succeeds.

As usual, Team Kill the Originals are thwarted by the old vampires, and Damon spends much of the episode being tortured with his pecs getting some much-needed air. And amid all the action, Stefan and Elena have a very important conversation about where her heart lies. Ready to get down to the good, the bad, and the bloody? Let's do it.

The Vampire Diaries "Break on Through": The Good, the Bad, and the Bloody

Like last week, this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries is pretty underwhelming again, and again, I blame the lack of Klaus. Where is he hiding? The episode instead focuses on Alaric and his uncontrollable urge to kill innocent people, and Damon's old pal Sage, who's on the hunt for her old flame, original vampire Finn.

There's not so much excitement this week, except for one extended, and very memorable Damon shower scene (which obviously makes the good category of the week), so let's get down to talking about the good, the blood, and the bloody after the jump.

The Vampire Diaries "Know Thy Enemy": The Good, the Bad, and the Bloody

The Vampire Diaries returns after a month-long absence, and we're plunged back into the world of vampires, moonstones, and Doppelgangers. Klaus is still the name on everyone's lips, but there's another rogue making trouble in Mystic Falls: Elena's birth mother, Isobel.

It feels great to have everyone back (especially Damon), even the villains - so before I reveal any spoilers, let's talk about the good, the bad, and the bloody when you

The Good

We pick up with Jenna coming face to face with Isobel, and upset about being kept in the dark about everything, she angrily takes off. John invites her in, to Elena and Stefan's dismay. Isobel claims that she's been looking for Klaus to keep Elena safe, but we quickly find that that's not true. Later, we see her entering her safe house where she's surprised by Katherine - and the two share a happy embrace! Yep, Isobel is lying to John and Elena and working with Katherine. The best part about that whole thing? Their Sex and the City-like girlfriend chat over wine glasses. Katherine's such a Samantha!
Jenna isn't the only one who's taken off: after finding out that Caroline is a vampire in the last episode, Matt has gone missing. Caroline is distraught and finding him is all she can think about. When he finally turns up, it's not Caroline he wants to talk to, but her mother. Visibly distraught, Matt demands to see Vickie's file because he wants to know how her vampire death was covered up. Uh oh. He confronts Caroline at her house, saying that her mom was called away. When Caroline comes clean about the vampire history, Matt says he wants to have his memory wiped because he feels so alone (Aww!) - but wait! He's actually in cahoots with Caroline's mother, who has been waiting for information this whole time. So now we watch Caroline's mother learning the truth all over again, except this time, Caroline doesn't know.
New team alert! Damon, Bonnie, and Jeremy band together to fulfill the task that Jonas gave to Bonnie before she died - to kill Klaus. Bonnie needs a spell to harness the power of the dead witches, and Damon leads the group there. Unfortunately, the spirits of the witches don't exactly look kindly on a vampire trespassing on their turf, and Damon is forced to stay outside. Inside, Jeremy and Bonnie do a little flirting (and kissing!) before they hear the creepy voices of witches summoning them. Bonnie finally connects with the other side, which apparently involves a lot of screaming and tears, but it's over quickly and Jeremy is right there to comfort her.
Isobel tracks down Ric, seemingly to make amends, but just as she's getting all mushy on him, she sics one of Klaus's henchmen on him. But then - is she a double agent? Turns out family means something to Isobel after all. When Katherine and Elena switch places, Isobel drives off with her daughter in the backseat, and leads Katherine right to the same bad guy.
Damon takes his shirt off. Let's all take a moment to think about that scene again. If that doesn't deserve a mention, I don't know what does.
Once Damon and Stefan realize they've been had by Isobel, they come up with a new plan to keep Elena safe: turn over the deed of their house to her, so she can keep it sealed away from evil vampires. Seems like the perfect plan, but we all know Elena's not one for lying around the house playing damsel in distress - she'd much rather be directly in harm's way playing damsel in distress.
After receiving her new powers, Bonnie reveals to Jeremy that she's going to sacrifice herself to save Elena. Apparently she's garnered enough witchy strength to bring down an original, but it means that she'll have to die. Jeremy tries to talk her out of it, but Bonnie seems dead set on her new purpose in life. Am I the only one who wouldn't be that upset if she reaches her goal?
Katherine wakes up in a strange room to find Klaus's henchman performing some kind of strange ritual on Ric. After a few seconds, Ric rises from the chair and immediately starts speaking to Katherine in a Russian accent. And bam! Klaus has arrived! Between the Elena/Katherine switcheroos and now Alaric being possessed, I see a lot of confusion in future episodes.

The Bad

Katherine needs the moonstone to get her freedom from Klaus, so she goes hunting for it in the Salvatore house. Damon claims it's in a safe place . . . and she finds it in the soap dish?! Really?!
To show off her new powers to Jeremy, Bonnie closes her eyes, focuses, and creates . . .a windstorm? That's it? For a girl who can set just about anything on fire, some gusty winds aren't all that exciting.

The Bloody

John and Isobel come face to face at the Lockwood mansion, while Elena's busy downstairs picking up a gift on behalf of the historical society. There's not much time for chit-chat: Isobel quickly sinks her fangs into John's neck and sends him rolling down the stairs - the perfect diversion for Katherine to forcibly switch places with Elena. Mrs. Lockwood and Katherine's mom are about to declare him dead, but Damon reveals the truth about his ring.
Isobel takes Elena to a graveyard so she can see the tombstone that Isobel's parents have laid out of her. Just then, Klaus's henchman calls Isobel to tell her that she can let Elena go now because she's done exactly what Klaus has "compelled her to do." Isobel hangs up the phone, and seconds later, pulls of a necklace and immediately bursts into flame and rots right there on her grave. All in all, a rough episode for both of Elena's birth parents.

The Vampire Diaries "As I Lay Dying": The Good, the Bad, and the Bloody

This week is The Vampire Diaries season finale, and like the movie the town is showing in the episode, some characters are Gone With the Wind by the end. Damon staggers through the episode with his fatal werewolf bite threatening to take his life, while Stefan finds a cure for him - but it has huge consequences. We also narrowly miss losing one character, but his survival might, ironically, raise two old characters from the dead.

And besides Klaus, death, and all that blood, you know you want to talk about the one, tiny moment of sweetness. So to get down to the last good, bad, and bloody of the season, just

The Good

Damon is despondent about his werewolf bite/death sentence, and he apologizes to Elena in an attempt to get her forgiveness. He removes his ring and steps into the sun in a half-hearted suicide attempt. Stefan catches him, and tosses him into the cell in the house to keep him from harming himself further. In search of a cure, Stefan has Bonnie channel Emily, and she sees one thing: Klaus.
When Stefan stops by to ask Katherine how to find Klaus, he makes it in time to witness Klaus stabbing Elijah with the dagger. Guess he's not a man of his word after all. Klaus bites Katherine, possibly turning her into a werewolf/vampire hybrid (let's call them werepires for now), and Stefan realizes that Klaus's blood is the cure. Klaus offers Stefan a deal for some of his blood; he has to do everything Klaus says. It starts with drinking bag after bag of blood, which turns Stefan into Crazy Stefan, of course.
Sheriff Forbes stages a raid on the Salvatore house, and Damon gets unleashed on the town in his crazed mental state. He stumbles to the town square's screening of Gone With the Wind, where Jeremy sees him and gets him into the Grill. But Sheriff Forbes is on their tail, and when she shoots at Damon, she hits Jeremy instead. Caroline and Bonnie rush in to find Jeremy mortally wounded, so Caroline has Jeremy drink some of her blood, but it's not enough to save him.
Bonnie starts a spell at the old witch house in order to save Jeremy, but the spirits of the witches don't want to help her, warning Bonnie of consequences, but she pushes on, as her nose gushes with blood and she sobs about her love for Jeremy. How creepy is that scene, with the eerie dead witch voices? Those will be starring in my nightmares tonight. Finally, Jeremy wakes. But when he's supposedly safe and sound at home, he gets up to investigate a suspicious noise, and he runs into two ladies from his past he wasn't exactly expecting: Vicki and Anna! I guess these are the consequences the old witches were referring to earlier. So is bringing back the two girls Jeremy loved before her just a tool to torture Bonnie, or is something more insidious going on?
After putting Elijah's body in a coffin, Klaus tells Stefan that he's leaving town with him. He gives Stefan one last challenge before he leaves - he wants to see Stefan hunt a human. Stefan takes the bait, killing an innocent girl. That's what we've got to look forward to in season three. Crazy Stefan is back, y'all!
In his mental degeneration from the bite, Damon keeps hallucinating flashbacks of himself with Katherine, while Elena appears intermittently. When Elena finds Damon wandering at the screening, he nibbles on her neck a little before realizing what he's doing. Back at the house, Elena cares for sweaty, dying Damon, as he realizes that he chose to love Katherine, along with all the other bad decisions he made. Damon remarks that Elena would have like him in the 1800s, and she sweetly tells him "I like you now, just the way you are," (Bridget Jones alert!) then kisses him. Katherine arrives, Klaus's blood in hand, and feeds Damon the cure. She lays the news on Elena that Stefan has left town with Klaus, giving her up to save Damon. Dear Elena: I know you're heartbroken now, but there's a bright side. And his name is Damon.

The Bad

The only bad things are that I'm confused - are Anna and Vicki alive? Or as alive as vampires can be? And are Damon and Katherine now werepires? I can't last a whole Summer not knowing!

The Bloody

Klaus is a nasty mother. He doesn't just stab Stefan, he has to vocalize that it's "scraping against your heart." Some things are better left unsaid, Klausy.
It's been a while since we've seen Stefan with the blood-stained mouth, and it's pretty terrifying. And gross. And even though there are no flashbacks showing Stefan as "a ripper," that word is enough to give me visuals.

So, we end the season with Stefan taking off with Klaus, Damon and Elena left alone (ooh la la), and Jeremy with a couple of supernatural exes to contend with. I guess next season will start with Klaus and Stefan having bloody buddy time, and hopefully, there will be some more kisses between Damon and Elena. What did you think? The Vampire Diaries "The Reckoning": The Good, the Bad, and the Bloody

If last week's episode of The Vampire Diaries wasn't as exciting because it was largely setup, it was worth it for this week's super-exciting and satisfying episode. Klaus, Stefan, and Rebecca terrorize the halls of Mystic Falls High, and the doppelganger/hybrid problem is pretty much resolved.

The ghost ex-girlfriends Vicki and Anna both play a big part this week, too, and one of them introduces us to the show's next big supernatural character. Stefan is still adrift in a sea of evilness, but all it does is make this episode even more interesting - especially where Damon and Elena are concerned. Ready to break down the good, the bad, and the bloody? Just

The Good

The kids are back in school (remember when they used to go to school?) celebrating senior prank night. It's where Klaus finds Elena, and Stefan finally stops playing it cool about Elena when Rebecca reveals that Klaus has gone after her. Rebecca stakes him, and he's not the only one who gets badly injured in the crossfire. Klaus gets Elena, Bonnie, Matt, and Tyler, and explains his hybrid problem. To illustrate it, Klaus grabs the werewolf in the room, Tyler, and feeds him his blood - then ruthlessly breaks his neck.
Best line of the episode goes to Rebecca: "Why is that doppelganger b*tch wearing my necklace?!"
Damon and Katherine are on their road trip, and Damon gets it out of her that she has the necklace. She also has something else: Jeremy in the trunk (and I snorted when Damon sees the unconscious body and says, "Jeremy? Really?") The unexpected cargo makes sense when Katherine talks about the person who was hunting Klaus all those years ago, someone that Pearl and Anna knew - and of course, Jeremy is the only one who can see Anna.
The other ghost girl shows up this week too, when Matt finally gets a visit from Vicki. Vicki and Matt try hard to contact each other, and she says she can help, but they're just not getting there. To move the situation along, he sinks himself to the bottom of the school pool. Bonnie pulls him out and frantically tries to revive him, but Matt's plan - to see Vicki in an unconscious state - works. Vicki has a message for Bonnie: Elena being alive is what's preventing the hybrids from surviving. Then, Matt gets his wish to see Vicki again, at the end of the episode, but this time without attempting suicide.
Tyler is, as Rebecca says, "dead . . ish." Caroline breaks the news that he's in hybrid transition, and it may come down to his death or Elena's. But surprise, surprise: Klaus finds out that the doppelganger doesn't actually need to be dead - the hybrids just need her blood. On the one hand, it feels like a cop out, because Elena having to die was emphasized so much before, but hey, at least it works out for Elena's mortality. Anyway, Klaus feeds Tyler Elena's blood, and the trial run pays off: Tyler turns into a vampire/werewolf hybrid, the first successful offspring of Klaus. Being a hybrid kind of seems like Red Bull, because Tyler's all energetic and happy. "This is going to be an amazing year," he tells Caroline. It's nice that he's so confident, but come on dude, you just jinxed yourself. Saying that in Mystic Falls basically means there's nothing but trouble heading your way.
Klaus's cruelest act is commanding Stefan to drink from Elena, and he puts a countdown on the clock. Elena tries to tell Stefan that he will be able to stop, but Stefan disagrees. He urges Elena to run, which she does, and Stefan can't help but run after her. He goes so far as to stake himself, and Klaus finally gets Stefan to "turn off" all his humanity. To test his work, Klaus tells Stefan to drink from Elena again, which he finally does.
Elena wakes up in the hospital to find that Klaus is extracting her blood for future hybrids. With Stefan out of the running to protect her, Damon returns. He confronts Klaus in the hospital parking lot, and an angry Klaus attacks him, but Damon says the one thing that gives Klaus the willies: Michael. He warns Klaus that he and Katherine have found him, so Klaus skidaddles, leaving Damon to rescue Elena from her hospital bed. He nurses her back to health with a combo of bourbon and sexy looks, and even offers to erase any memories she doesn't want to remember. Elena refuses, and faces the fact that Stefan is lost to her.
Damon tells Elena that he stole back the necklace for her, and that he will never leave her again (this has been your Damon and Elena Moment of Sweetness). But I guess there wasn't room in Klaus and Rebecca's car, because Stefan interrupts them, telling them that he's now assigned to watch over them while Klaus is gone.
Anna reveals what she knows about Michael, the vampire hunter Rebecca mentioned in last week's episode. Michael apparently has to be woken - because he's entombed. Katherine and Jeremy, one of this show's oddest combos, go to the crypt to find Michael, and yep, he looks just like what you imagine an entombed guy to look like: gross.

The Bad

Is Stefan the most cheeseball villain ever? He gets no scary points for screaming "I'm a ripper! A ripper doesn't stop!" at Elena.
Come back Klaus! You were upping the hotness of this show to unforeseen levels!

The Bloody

Stefan is quite the ripper this week, and it is a little bit shocking to see him sink his teeth into Elena so forcefully.
The most shocking violent moment is actually bloodless: when Klaus breaks Tyler's neck. I gasped, and though I was pretty sure they were going to find a way to make him survive, I wasn't 100 percent.

I think this is my favorite episode of the season so far, and now I'm finally really believing Stefan as a villain. I'm glad too, because it seems like Elena may be able to take that leap with Damon since she accepts that Stefan is no longer boyfriend material.
