I could not have been more excited when I saw the first photo of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. The film won't be out until next year, but I couldn't resist looking back at some of my favorite female performances from the history of Batman films. Some are creepy supervillianesses while others are Bruce Wayne's love interests, but they all have one thing in common: they hold their own alongside Batman. Catwoman's been the constant foil to Batman since the series first aired in the 1960s. Now, with every new Batman film, we're treated to a new incarnation of the ultimate supervillain - the latest being taken on by Anne Hathaway. Today, we got the first peek of that version from The Dark Knight Rises - a seriously tough, motorcycle-riding, leather-clad Catwoman, which got us thinking about the character's costume evolution. Both Catwoman and Batgirl have been reinvented since Batman's early days as a campy action series. Now, we're taking a look back at the most memorable leading ladies and villains - from Yvonne Craig's turn as the original Batgirl to Halle Berry's super sexy Catwoman, click through to see how they've changed.

Christopher Nolan's next Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, is still shrouded pretty well in secrecy, but today we get more to go on: the movie's first poster! There's not an incredible amount of imagery - a crumbling Gotham reveals the vigilante's bat signal - but it's powerful nonetheless and already kind of giving me chills. As fashion powerhouse Anna Wintour recently said, "Geeks can be chic." Though that statement is nothing new to us, it is fun to see geek pop up in unexpectedly glamorous ways. Our current glam geek obsession is Batman jewelry - we were often caught channeling Batgirl on the playground, after all. The simple aesthetic of the Caped Crusader makes for some surprisingly pretty designs. While we have over a year until the next Batman film, the jewelry we've been spying across the web may tide us over until The Dark Knight Rises.

Watch Three Viral Videos For The Dark Knight Rises

We've gotten very few peeks so far at Christopher Nolan's next Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, but our first look at Tom Hardy as Bane was certainly intriguing, if a little mysterious. The same goes for these three following teaser videos, which don't show you Batman himself or any other characters except for Anthony Michael Hall's newscaster. The clips depict a breakout at Arkham Asylum, and each features a super-eerie chanting, which can only mean trouble for our caped vigilante. Watch them, and let me know what you think.

With WonderCon hitting San Francisco this weekend, I have superheroes on the brain. I asked you which of the upcoming comic book crusader movies you were most excited about the other day, but now I'm looking to the past. Lots of great actors have filled the tights (or rubber, in some cases) of famous superheroes on screen, so I put together some of my favorites for your perusing pleasure.

Four New Classic Batman Mimobots

Generally, Mimobots are adorable, often timely USB drives, but I'm a little unsure about the latest limited-edition release. Four classic DC Comics Batman-themed designs feature Batman, Robin, Catwoman, and the Joker (seriously, how freaky does the Joker look?).

The classic designs were created to mimic the characters' original appearances in the comic series. Drives are available in two, four, eight, or 16GB options, ranging from $20 to $60. And comic fans, look out for more character-inspired lines coming later this year: characters from Green Lantern, Superman, and The Flash will arrive soon.
