As an entertainment addict I try to remain open to all things related to music, movies, theater, television, books, etc., but I know many people who claim that they simply do not like whole categories of entertainment. Most likely you know someone who has made declarations like, "I just don't like country music." Or you know a guy who will never, no matter what, go with you to see a romantic comedy.

When the puppets of Avenue Q stopped by Scrubs a while back, the result was a fun and slightly off-color musical romp through Sacred Heart. Tonight, some more familiar Muppets — including Grover, Oscar the Grouch, and Elmo — are swinging by the hospital, and while this episode seems a little sweeter, it looks like it will still have a lot of laughs.
I mean, just look at that picture!

Fans of Avenue Q, The Dark Crystal, and the general concept of inappropriate things coming from the mouths of puppets may want to pay special attention to this news: The Jim Henson Co. is working on a film noir comedy-slash-murder mystery movie called The Happytime Murders.
In the world of The Happytime Murders, puppets and humans co-exist together, but puppets are viewed as second-class citizens.

All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue. In addition to the titles below you can also now find the third season of TNT's The Closer on DVD, along with the brutal but stunning Brazilian film City of Men.

Seems like there is plenty of odd musical news going around right now, and one of the strangest ideas I've heard is A Very Brady Musical, which will take to the stage in L.A. on June 6.
At first glance this is really unappealing.

The day has finally arrived! I'm super-excited for tonight's "My Musical" episode of "Scrubs" — and not just because I've had "Guy Love" stuck in my head since I downloaded it on iTunes the other day. (Hey, don't roll your eyes!) I also love Avenue Q, the hilariously filthy, politically incorrect Broadway musical whose composers wrote the music for the episode and whose star, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, plays a patient.
