Point Break is getting a sequel, writes Zap2It, though it's unclear whether Keanu or Swayze will reprise their roles. Also, OMG look at Swayze's hair.
According to the AP, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is thinking of doing an Apprentice-like reality TV show for "young would-be lawmakers."
The "politically charged" Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young documentary will get a theatrical release in July, Billboard reports.
According to Pitchfork, Arcade Fire is scoring The Box, the next movie from Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly, which stars Cameron Diaz and James Marsden.

EW Picks the Best 25 Indie Rock Albums - Do You Agree?

Ah, top 25 lists. I know some people hate to list music in this way because it's so hard (I know this first hand) to compare albums and favorite songs much less pick favorites. A wise first step for any list maker is to narrow the field by genre, which is what EW recently did to choose the best indie albums from each year, from 1984 up until the present.

They also gave themselves some rules for which albums are eligible, including defining "independent" as "the bands had to have been signed to an independent label for the given album" (so, Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirt doesn't count because that album was released on Geffen Records) and they have to be bands, not individual artists, which is why you won't see Elliott Smith or Sufjan Stevens in there.

Yesterday's Patriots-Giants game was the most-watched Super Bowl ever with 97.5 million viewers, the Associated Press reports.
Speaking of the Super Bowl, the Arcade Fire apparently didn't give permission for their song to be used in an ad for NFL on Fox, Pitchfork reports.
A Jim Henson biopic titled Henson is now in the works, though casting hasn't yet begun, writes ComingSoon.
E! Online has news that the Spice Girls will wrap their world tour later this month, canceling dates in China, Australia, South Africa and Argentina.
Variety reports that Robert Englund, mostly known as the man who played Freddie Krueger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, will direct The Vij, "a dark gothic fantasy in which Christopher Lee is attached to star."
People has more on that Sarah Silverman/Matt Damon video for Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Sylvester Stallone has signed on to direct and star in two more action flicks with the same producing team he worked with on Rambo, writes Hollywood Reporter.
The Wall Street Journal has more on what a strike settlement could mean for getting TV shows back this season., while Broadcasting & Cable reports on a WGA memo saying a deal isn't done yet.
According to ComingSoon, Rob Lowe will join Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner in the comedy This Side of the Truth.
Sarah Michelle Gellar hasn't signed on yet for the Buffy reunion at the Paley Festival, the LA Times reports (update! She will be attending after all); the festival will also include panels for Friday Night Lights, Damages, and Chuck, among others.

Music Video: Arcade Fire, "Black Mirror"

Holy wow. Arcade Fire, the Montreal-based indie-rock band, has released a new video for "Black Mirror," the first song off their second album, Neon Bible, and it is, for lack of a better term, awesome. When I first saw the bizarre behind-the-scenes stills for the video, I had to laugh and didn't bother imagining how they'd piece this together. Now that I've seen the final product, I can tell you that it is everything you'd probably expect from an Arcade Fire video: dramatic, surreal, seriously detailed (there is a credit at the end for "bottle etching"), interactive (you can toggle the sound) and a little creepy (giant head rising from ocean). Music Video: Arcade Fire Live on Austin City Limits

Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing Arcade Fire live in concert understands how uniquely mesmerizing the band's shows are. The group truly treats its performances like theater, alternating between elegant composure and unhinged brilliance, dressing in stylish "costumes," dancing feverishly (often while wearing heels), and exuding an artful energy that's all too rare.

If you haven't seen them in concert, you'll (sort of) get your chance tonight, when the Arcade Fire's performance on Austin City Limits airs on PBS. (Check your local listings for show times.) I've already found a clip from the ACL concert, of the band playing "Keep the Car Running," which always gets me going no matter how many times I hear it. Check out the video when you read more

Arcade Fire and Springsteen Cover Each Other in Canada

Imagine you're a fan of the Arcade Fire. Now, imagine you're also a fan of Bruce Springsteen. You also happen to be Canadian, and you've got tickets to see The Boss in Ottawa. What do you do when, midway through the encore, Win Butler and Regine Chassagne show up on stage for renditions of Springsteen's "State Trooper" and the Arcade Fire's "Keep the Car Running"?

Apparently, the answer is: You scream like crazy, you jump around, and - lucky for the rest of us - you also manage to keep your composure enough to shoot a couple of relatively high-quality videos of the musical numbers in question.

If I could pick any two Springsteen or Arcade Fire songs to hear the musicians perform together, I think these would be the two; "Keep the Car Running," off Neon Bible, is probably the Springsteen-iest Arcade Fire song, and the Canadians have been known to cover "State Trooper" in the past. Make Your Own Arcade Fire Music Video

Maybe Radiohead set my standards too high by announcing a new album online last week, because when I first heard that the Arcade Fire's own, much-ballyhooed Web project was just a music video, I was a little disappointed.

That's until I actually headed over to BeonlineB.com and started to - as the full URL commands - click around. The site is actually a fully interactive music video for the song "Neon Bible." The only constants are the song itself, singer Win Butler's head and a pair of disembodied hands. By clicking various places on the screen, you can direct the hands to toss an apple back and forth, spin a Neon Bible logo, flip over a series of cards (get four of a kind and an invisible crowd cheers for you) and even drown Win.

It's fun to play with once or twice, and I keep discovering new, fun effects. Plus, Win Butler's floating head is the most appropriately creepy image I can think of for the song. Go play around, and be sure to let me know what you think of the video.
