Sep 18 2009 - 9:52am By now you've probably seen the
myriad on-set shots for the upcoming ensemble romantic comedy
Valentine's Day. Oh and by "ensemble", I mean the most star-studded cast to hit Hollywood in years.
This movie has (take a deep breath with me) Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Shirley Maclaine, Ashton Kutcher, Taylor Lautner, and Taylor Swift.

Yah Imma have to see that..
1I'll definitely see this! What a great cast! (Including Hector Elizondo; I love him.)
2looks cute will def see. Though i see anything with Julia Roberts in it
3I will for sure this! I can't see Bradley and Julia playing a good couple but maybe co-worker friends that are close or siblings or something but not a couple.
4I don't think that Julia Roberts and Bradley Cooper are a couple. I read somewhere that Bradley's character is gay. SO PUMPED ABOUT THIS MOVIE!!!!

6Yay I'm excited for this!!
7i'm sooo excited for this! i generally love movies with ensemble casts
8this actually looks a lot better than I had thought it'd be! I would probably watch it w/ a bunch of girls though!
9LOL, Jessica Biel's line at the end, "Thank God it vibrates!"
I'm definitely going to have to see this one. It looks really funny.
10I'm with Whiplash.
11I'll probably rent. That's what I did for "He's just not that into you." (And it kind of wasn't even worth it.)
12It looks pretty cute...
13I dunno -- I wish it had more stars in it.
14This looks cute! But sorry...the most star studded cast in years is/will be 'New York, I Love You'!
15I think the only person they left our was hugh grant. I will definitely be seeing this!
16Anne Hathaway and Topher Grace sure do look adorable.
17booooring!
18Looks good! I'm really looking forward to this movie... Anne Hathaway and Topher Grace are a really good match (casting wise), Jessica Biel's line was so awesome "Thank God it vibrates", Emma Roberts were really cute as usual - the only thing we didn't see that I really really want to see is some Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift!
19Perfect for a girls night out!
I went out with the girls for He's just not that into you and it was so much fun, so I will see this for sure.
20Some funny moments. It better not turn out like "He's Just Not That Into You", because that was such a terrible film.
21Bah, I hate when they cast so many stars in one film, especially in a romantic comedy. It usually indicates that the plot really sucks (à la He's Not That Into You).
22Bradley and Julia look more like siblings to me than a couple. Movie looks cute though.
23It looks kinda "meh," not gonna lie. Seems like the American version of "Love, Actually" to me. I mean-- "Christmas is a time for being with those you love..." "Valentine's Day is a day for you to be with those you love...." Come on now.
24I'm excited for this movie, it looks much better than He's Just Not That Into You.
25I don't have audio so I'm just going by what I read and the little I saw.
First, from the reading: It's sounds so bipolar or schizo, so to speak, because half the cast might lead me to think it will be good and the other half makes me think it will just be bad. Of course, that's not taking into account the roles, dynamics and plotlines.
Someone made a good point though, when they make these movies it's like they are trying to hard and it's because they are compensating for a bad story or it's just going to turn out that way because there is no way to balance all the storylines and actors out.
Lastly, it just sounds GIMMICKY at this point for Hollywood.
Love, Actually has been deemed overrated but in contrast to this drizzle it's a smart BRITISH comedy, thusly, a very different animal alltogether and the first of these big cast movies in a looong time that seemed well thought out at least.
Hollywood tries to do the same thing because of Love, Actually (and movies like Crash, even...which was a drama)and they fail miserably. He is just not that into You was a gimmicky movie that made women look bad.
And this Valentine's Day is probably a gimmicky movie...the "chick flicks" of the past are becoming gimmick movies because ppl in Hollywood think that they can slap a female cast together and some "desirable" or exciting male leads and that women will just flock to see it. Unfortunately, we do sometimes because there's not much else out there.
I'm kinda offended. Anyway I'll take a peek at the trailer when I'm on another computer. It may be cute and fun.
26LOL - hilarious! It looks like a funny movie.
