Movie Preview: Crossing Over

Despite some moments that seem a little overwrought, this trailer for Crossing Over (not to be confused with the TV show about talking to dead people) is one of the most riveting previews I've seen in a while. It looks a bit like Crash (several storylines weaving together in various ways), but with the subject matter being illegal immigration (and what it means to be an American and what's right and what's wrong, etc. etc.).

The other intriguing aspect of the trailer is the impressive cast: Harrison Ford, Ashley Judd, Ray Liotta, Alice Braga (I Am Legend), Summer Bishil (Towelhead) and Alice Eva.

Oh, did I forget to mention Jim Sturgess?

The Hollywood Style Awards took place at Smashbox Studios last night to celebrate this year's top trendsetters in fashion and beauty. Kristin Davis, Zoe Saldana, Eva Longoria, and Jaime King were just a few of the celebrities on hand to present awards to the leading fashion and beauty stylists in their lives. We got a chance to talk with Selma Blair and designer Alice Temperley, who revealed what it's like working with Kate Middleton! It's all in today's FabFlash.

There's nothing quite like a "secret garden party" to break up the slew of runways and presentations during fashion week. That's exactly what Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet created yesterday with her party meets presentation, complete with floral-wrapped trellises, birdcages - and the cute Spring clothes to go with it. The collection was a mix of two eras, showing '60s-inspired vibrant floral print palazzo pants, bold striped flared trousers, draped jumpsuits, and a sweet array of mod dresses. Meanwhile, pretty sequined dresses - we especially loved the black and white striped rendition - nodded to Bendet's signature '40s flair. Now just who do we predict is expected to wear this collection? With celebs like Kourtney Kardashian, LeAnn Rimes, Eva Amurri, and beautiful singer Corinne Bailey Rae in full attendance, we have no doubt some these pieces will be swooped up soon.
